Republican Gov. Greg Gianforte signed a measure Wednesday banning TikTok in Montana, making it the first state in the United States to completely ban the social media app amid skepticism from lawmakers. Montana's ban is the most restrictive measure on TikTok, which is owned by a Chinese tech company, in the United States. It is scheduled to take effect on Jan. 1, 2024, and is expected to be challenged in court. "Today, Montana takes the most decisive action of any state to protect Montanans' private data and sensitive personal information from being harvested by the Chinese Communist Party," Gianforte said in a statement.

There is absolutely no way to enforce this. If Montana could actually get some revenue through fines, that would be great, but we will spend time and funds defending the law with lawsuits and once Gianforte is gone because of term limits, the law will simply be ignored. I don't like Tik Tok either, but this is bad law.

This is a very dangerous road to travel on. If the technical difficulties of banning a website on smartphones are overcome, (very tough) you can bet that California, Illinois, NY, NJ, etc will be lining up to ban Truth-Social and many any other blog sites.

It's not bad enough that some on-line advertisers sneak in a real TicTok now and then, but former Industry Standard of YouTube has now copied the ''TicTok'' shorts and offers that format FIRST, the moment you log on to the once famous YouTube. What a bummer. I'll probably keep on using YouTube, but I'll cuss'em good and proper every time a ''short'' pops up first. Rumble isn't all that busy.

I agree with poster #3...WE need parents to control what their children watch by checking their phones and deleting what is not appropriate...it goes back to parental control of their households...and I know not all parents are involved with their kids...but...WE cannot control everything...so rather than give up...let's get involved...

Meanwhile, Instagram, Facebook, etc. are busy harvesting data for the FBI and RINO Gianforte seems to be unconcerned. This is so ridiculous.

Hey Aspen02, what's your burning worry about TikTok? Have you experienced the app firsthand? Unlike the domestic surveillance machines—Facebook and YouTube—you're never silenced for your perspectives. It's a wild political battleground, just as it should be. By the way, those spineless politicians you seem to back couldn't care less about your privacy. They gladly lap up the donations flowing in from our homegrown spying apps. It's all about the almighty dollar. Time to wake up!

Ukraine took our eye off the threat 5 replies

While Washington told Americans to wear blue and yellow and pledge their allegiance to the Ukraine flag in the name of freedom, a real threat rose to America’s south. Red China is becoming the most influential nation to South America as it tethers South American countries to its growing economy. The U.S. Naval Institute reported on March 8, “Recent Chinese actions, like financing a $3 billion container port, establishing a space monitoring station near the Straits of Magellan and buying lithium mining operations in three South American nations, pose increasing risks to U.S. security, senior military commanders said Wednesday.

The FBI had at least four open criminal investigations into Hillary and Bill Clinton that were suddenly dropped in the months before the 2016 presidential election, special counsel John Durham’s recently released report shows. The bombshell report released by Durham — which concluded that the bureau’s probe into former President Donald Trump’s alleged collusion with Russia was “seriously flawed” — also shed light on the quashed probes. The feds had been looking into claims that foreign countries and other individuals were trying to influence the Clintons through donations to their namesake non-profit and Hillary’s presidential campaign.

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy has now gone on record saying that he is open to defying SCOTUS if they rule against the abortion pill. Democrats think they can get away with defying SCOTUS if it is seen as illegitimate. Do you see the endgame now? New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy on Wednesday said he would consider defying the Supreme Court and continue to provide mifepristone if the court rules in favor of a ban on the abortion pill. When asked if the state would prescribe mifepristone after such a ruling, Murphy told MSNBC: “To be determined.” “When I say everything is on the table,

While the Durham Report was not criminal, one woman is responsible for this "crime." Her name is Hillary Clinton and we know her story. I agree with Victoria Taft: Durham wrote the “Clinton Plan” was conceived to distract from her very real and very illegal destruction of evidence -- her emails -- which were under a preservation order. “According to the declassified Clinton Plan intelligence, on July 26, 2016, Clinton allegedly approved a proposal from one of her foreign policy advisors to tie Trump to Russia as a means of distracting the public from her use of a private email server.”

You may remember how, in 2018, a Starbucks in Philadelphia refused to let two black businessmen use a restroom and ended up calling the police on them. It turned out that a black woman and a white woman witnessed the event. They became allies in the DEI business but, according to the L.A. Michelle Saahene (36 and black) and Melissa DePino (55 and white) were at the Starbucks when they witnessed the men’s arrest. They started talking and exchanged contact information. My friend sent me a terrifying video clip showing kids coming home from school last Friday, May 12, 2023. The children waiting at a bus stop near the Israeli town of Beit Shemesh heard the “Color Red” sirens and knew they had to take cover. Then a large bus stopped and disgorged even more children. About ninety percent moved into and around the bus shelter, hoping it would be strong enough to protect them, but this shelter was open on the street side, meaning the force of any explosion there would have been multiplied many times, and the children would have been shredded.

Another day, another Deep State leak. The National Archives is claiming it has evidence that may undercut Trump’s claims that the presidential records he took to Mar-a-Lago were automatically declassified, according to a leak to CNN. Trump says the documents were declassified as soon as he took them to Mar-a-Lago . Acting Archivist Debra Steidel Wall however, claims there is evidence Trump and his advisors knew of a so-called declassification process. Steidel Wall sent Trump a letter informing him the National Archives are going to give Special Counsel Jack Smith 16 records which may prove the documents were not automatically declassified. And the witch hunt continues.

Growing up in the 1950s, I remember distinctly that all of my high school classmates were obsessed with figuring out who they really were, males or females. Every conversation, the special clubs we formed to talk about this issue, the heated arguments we had with our parents who didn’t “get” that the children they thought were boys or girls were not at all what those dinosaurs imagined sex and gender to be, and the total lack of understanding we got from the powers-that-be, including teachers, counselors, coaches, doctors. It was truly a horrible time to be a girl or boy

Vance, who owed his victory in large part to former President Donald Trump’s endorsement, moved to quickly return the favor.

Does ADHD in fact exist? This week the BBC’s Panorama programme quite rightly exposed some very worrying private clinics. (Snip) One of the problems with the diagnosis of ‘ADHD’ is that it covers such an extraordinarily broad range of behaviours, including children who may actually suffer from birth trauma or brain damage, and children who are merely wilful and obstinate, or are driven to distraction by dull schools and bad teachers. Worse, it closes the subject. If all these millions truly are suffering from a treatable physical disorder, then we need not worry about our debased family life, dominated by
