The report from Special Counsel John Durham found that the FBI raced – in spite of an absence of evidence – to investigate allegations Donald Trump was in cahoots with Russia. By contrast, when the bureau found evidence that a Russian who was working at the Brookings Institution appeared to be soliciting classified information from his colleagues, the FBI’s investigation was not just lax but incompetent.
The Russian in question was Igor Danchenko, who would go to work for Christopher Steele. As Steele’s “primary sub-source,” Danchenko would later provide most of the preposterous claims in the notorious “dossier.”
Durham prosecuted Danchenko last year, charging him with making false statements to the FBI

Constitutional lawyer Jonathan Turley called out the media on Wednesday for its part in promoting the Russiagate theory following the release of the Durham report, which determined that the Trump-Russia probe was illegitimately launched. In an unforgiving op-ed published Wednesday by the New York Post, Turley said the report implicated the Clinton campaign, the FBI and the media as key participants who propagated the Russia collusion narrative by amplifying "a plot to create a false claim of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government."
After breaking down the collective effort on behalf of the Clinton campaign and the Justice Department in the collusion conspiracy, Turley turned his attention

Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., left a Biden judicial nominee speechless during her confirmation hearing Wednesday after he quizzed her on basic constitutional law theory. Judge Ana de Alba, who currently serves on a California federal district court and is nominated to serve on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, struggled to define the Dormant Clause and Commerce Clause under Article 1 of the Constitution.
"This has been in the news a lot lately, and you'll probably see it if you're confirmed to the Court of Appeal. Tell me about the Dormant Commerce Clause," Kennedy said.
"I’m somewhat familiar with the Commerce Clause, which is found in Article 1 of the Constitution

What is a woman? And what does it matter? It is becoming increasingly difficult to talk about women’s rights, or even basic biological reality, in a common language. While most Americans understand that a "woman" is an adult human female, radical gender ideologues want to redefine womanhood as a subjective state unrelated to biological sex. This redefinition of once-assumed basic facts has serious consequences for equal opportunity, privacy, safety and freedom of expression.
Right now, females are losing athletic, employment and educational opportunities to biological males. Biological males are gaining access to sororities, domestic violence shelters, locker rooms, women’s prisons, and rape crisis centers.

New migrants pouring into the U.S. after the Biden administration let a COVID-19 restriction called Title 42 expire last week will not break the nation’s stretched court system. The system is already shattered, according to several former judges, immigration experts, and Department of Homeland Security data. The average wait time for a “Notice to Appear” before a judge at one of the nation’s 66 immigration courts is now four and a half years. In some cities it is much longer. In New York City, new migrants do not have to appear in court until 2032. This growing backlog creates an incentive for more people to cross the border

“Raw, unanalyzed, and uncorroborated." Those words from the Durham Report summed up one of the most damning investigations in the Justice Department’s history.
In the 305-page report released Monday, special counsel John Durham concluded that the Trump-Russia investigation was launched without a required minimal level of evidence and shattered a host of departmental standards. Let that sink in: The Justice Department — as well as the media that covered it — effectively shut down a duly elected presidency, based on what turned out to be a politically engineered hoax.
That would make anyone angry. Really angry. Trump-level angry. The fact is, in this instance, Donald Trump was correct

The FBI allowed itself to be weaponized for political purposes during the 2016 presidential election. That is the conclusion of special counsel John Durham's damning final report released Monday.
It is a sobering conclusion, one strongly supported by the facts in the 306-page report and one that should prompt lawmakers from both parties to clean house at what is supposed to be the nation's premier bastion of law enforcement, not law bending or breaking. The FBI’s 2016 investigation into alleged collusion between Donald Trump's presidential campaign and Russia began with a single unverified account of a months-old conversation in a bar with an unpaid foreign policy adviser to the Trump campaign

With his blessing, close friends and longtime allies of former Vice President Mike Pence are standing up a super PAC to support his expected bid for the presidency. And while he has not formally declared his candidacy, the new organization is the clearest sign yet that Pence intends to challenge his old boss, Donald Trump, for the 2024 Republican nomination.
It also reflects how they will do it. The new PAC, called “Committed to America,” has hired staff from the establishment machine that bucked Trump in Georgia, and they are preparing to put Trump on the defensive while reintroducing Pence to primary voters, “not as vice president,”

Former President Trump said Monday that former FBI Director James Comey and Democrats need to be held accountable for spending years investigating alleged collusion between Trump and Russia now that Special Counsel John Durham has released a report that says the Trump-Russia probe never should have been launched. "I, and much more importantly, the American public, have been victims of this long-running and treasonous charade started by the Democrats — started by Comey," Trump told Fox News Digital. "There must be a heavy price to pay for putting our country through this."

Democrats pursued the most recent Republican president with impeachment three times over allegations he had partnered with a foreign government to influence U.S. government policies. If equal standards were applied to the Biden family, Joe Biden would be impeached both in the press and in Congress for treasonous collusion with foreign governments.
Democrats claimed Donald Trump committed treason because his son had met with a Democrat-planted Russian lobbyist. In exchange for Russian assistance with election-influencing social media memes, the allegations went, Trump’s campaign promised a more Russia-friendly U.S. foreign policy.

Now we know that the CIA conspired with former acting director Mike Morell and the Biden campaign to produce a letter falsely claiming that emails from Hunter Biden’s laptop were Russian disinformation — and solicited signatures from at least one former intelligence official.
But there is much more to come from the House Intelligence and Judiciary committees on the origins of that “Dirty 51” letter cooked up by five former CIA directors and 46 fellow spooks to discredit The Post’s reporting on the laptop. John Brennan, the Obama-era CIA chief, admitted to House investigators in a four-hour closed-door deposition last week that the letter was “political.”

A former aide to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., is now a senior official within the New York State Communist Party. Records, first reported on by The New York Post, show 33-year-old Justine Medina worked for Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign for much of 2020, earning around $35,000. After working for the congresswoman, Medina was named "Co-chair of the New York Communist League" by the People’s World, a publication of the Communist Party.
The publication now lists Medina as serving on the Executive Committee of the New York State Communist Party who is also active in the Amazon Labor Union at JFK8.
