Sixty thousand pounds of ammonium nitrate, used as a fertilizer but also in explosives, are missing from a rail shipment that was due to arrive in California from Wyoming.A railcar loaded with 30 tons of the chemical left Cheyenne, Wyoming, on April 12. The car was found to be empty after it arrived two weeks later at a rail stop in the Mojave Desert, according to a short incident report from the explosives firm that made the shipment.
The company, Dyno Nobel, made the report May 10 to the federal National Response Center, or NRC.

It’s a long way from Wyoming to Mojave, California. Two weeks. A lot can happen over two weeks.

Reminds me of that time in the 50s when 40 tons of sugar was stolen from a boxcar in Los Angeles. The wall of the boxcar had been pulled out. It was near the storm drain system of the Los Angeles River. An FBI man, Robert Graham, and a New Mexico police officer, Police Sgt Ben Peterson, tracked the thieves into the storm drains. Officer Peterson was killed rescuing the hostages, 2 young boys; but the quick thinking of Robert Graham, and a consulting scientist and his daughter- also a scientist - the Doctors Medford, saved the city from the thieves, who threatened to go on a rampage. Them sure were the good old days!

If we are lucky, it was loaded on the wrong boxcar and placed on the wrong train.

30 tons missing ? I smell the stench of Dem politics behind this. Expect a huge explosion and the blame placed on MAGA.

An open or ajar hopper door can easily let the contents leak onto the roadbed over the course of a rail shipment. I'd look for a stretch of tracks that's really green on both sides,

Probably hijacked to Sri Lanka, where it's desperately needed, and not for bombs. At the UN's recommendation, leadership in the former Ceylon went green. Now the country is starving, and the leadership has didi-maued. (I wish our fraudulent leadership would didi now.) That's what they get for listening to Gorons. Besides, Timothy McVeigh's number was disconnected, chemically.

Yes another fraud on the American people. Biden regime will use this alarm the nation for Memorial Day weekend (3rd Memorial Day weekend this month according to Dementia Joe). The will blame MAGA extremist, white supremacist, election deniers who are pro-gun, pro-life extremists. Like everything from the lips of the demented pervert, this too will be a lie or a pile of stinking malarkey.

The FBI will initiate coordinated raids on Catholic Churches that say Latin Masses, MAGA supporters, and people who say mean things about Biden and the FBI (even if true).
It can't have been the Proud Boys or January 6 protesters....they're all in jail

Maybe if the FBI stopped monitoring parents at school board meetings or cooking up lies about Donald Trump and conservatives, the agency might be able to find 30 tons of TNT explodealike. Christopher Wray, the Director, will no doubt shove some double talk into cameras and still continue surveillance of anti-abortion protesters, oh, and Biden's mortal enemy of the Republic. No, not Antifa, not BLM, not Russian organized crime, not MS 13 gang bangers, not Chinese spies, but white people owning...legally...guns and talking about their constitutional rights.

Is it any wonder so many ISIS and Taliban terrorists have been dressing like Mexicans crossing the southern border? Biden and the Demonrats don't care, since they'll use any terrorist attack to grab more Executive power and clamp down harder on white Republican MAGA "extremists."

"Explosive" ammonium nitrate is precisely the same thing as fertilizer ammonium nitrate. And the price of fertilizer has increased massively in the last few years since it is made with natural gas.
Probably somebody stole it to sell as fertilizer, far more likely than nefarious applications....which actually aren't very easy to do. Can you make it explode? Yes. Is it easy? No.

This is not good at all. Add some diesel fuel to it (a very common explosive mix used in our mining industry) and detonate it with electronic wifi-compatible detonators, you will have major explosions. Time will tell where it gets used. 30 tons (60,000 pounds) is enough to blow up and drop some big buildings. My 43 years in the mining industry tells me this is a mega ruh roh moment.
You don't heist this much ammonium nitrate because you just want to fertilize your lawn or farm fields.
