Al Franken thinks he knows the Supreme
Court. Here's what he's missing

On Wednesday morning, Chief Justice John Roberts should get up, look into the mirror and declare "I deserve good things. I am entitled to my share of happiness. I refuse to beat myself up. I am an attractive person. I am fun to be with." That mantra from SNL's "Daily Affirmation with Stuart Smalley" seems appropriate after the former Smalley comedian (and former U.S. Senator) Al Franken has declared Roberts a "villain" and his Court "illegitimate" in the latest attack on the institution. Now that Franken has turned to a podcast as a public platform, the comforting sweaters are gone and the dark Stuart Smalley has emerged.

I dont like Roberts. Based on some of his decisions, I suspect he is either being blackmailed or is a coward. That said, Franken is an idiot. He was mildly amusing as a comic, and completely forgettable as a politician. His opinions deserve no attention.

As usual, the democrat left accuses other legitimate segments of the government and the good people of this country of doing what they do, being selfish and wrongheaded. The divisive behavior began with Lord Obola and has been growing more evil and vile since then. Uncouth twits like Franken and AOC have no idea what real government is or even what civility is.

Seriously though the opinions of a corrupt, loudmouthed, arrogant, unfunny, sad, strange, little garden gnome of a "man" on one of our co-equal (something the idiots on the left seem to forget) branches of our government means zip, zilch, na da, nothing.

Al 'Air America' Franken has been a cultural gadfly for decades. He desperately clings on to comedic and political circles simply because Al assumes he's entitled to it. Going after Roberts is an odd target but ultimately, who really cares what Al has to say?

Don't sell Al Franken short. He was actually pretty funny on SNL, back when SNL was actually funny. Give the devil his due when he deserves it. His "Al Franken Decade" riff was great (an early 80s skit). That being said, he was a miserable failure as a Senator, stealing his election and paying for his idiocy in the past by having to resign his seat.

Re #10, humor is very subjective, so we can’r make a flat out statement that someone is funny. I couldn’t stand the guy, found him to be from inane to downright obnoxious. And he had no business being in the Senate. A very bad joke. Best we state opinions as opinions. :-)

Why can’t I find the picture of Frankin in a diaper when I do a google search? Why can’t I find the picture of Peter Strzok with him pearling up at you looking like he is possessed? Why is it necessary to hide history from us? What is really happening? When did it become law to believe everything a liar says is true?

Liam Morrison was expecting a comment or two from his peers when he wore a t-shirt to Nichols Middle School (NMS) that said "There are only two genders." However, he says the response from his fellow classmates was overwhelmingly positive. "Everyone in my homeroom and everyone in my gym class had supported what I had done," he told Fox News Digital. Morrison, 12, added that no fellow student directly confronted him about the shirt or said it offended them or made them feel unsafe. However, he was pulled out of gym class on March 21 and told to remove the shirt because several students and staff had reportedly complained.

Former collegiate swimmer Riley Gaines called out Democrat lawmakers who opposed the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act on Thursday, accusing them of putting their political interests above their responsibilities as parents after the bill passed last month in the House with zero votes from Democrats. The partisan bill, which seeks to amend Title IX to prohibit schools that receive federal funding from allowing biological men from participating in women's sports, passed the House late in April with a 219-203 vote. All the "yes" votes came from Republicans, and all the "no" votes came from Democrats

One of the more frustrating consequences of the radical Left’s takeover of America’s big cities has been that the elected saboteurs are rarely, if ever, forced to answer for their destructive acts. Who will hold a deranged mayor accountable when the City Council, district attorney, and others all practice the same groupthink? On that count, America owes Texas Governor Greg Abbott a debt of gratitude. Since last summer, Abbott has been showing America the folly of sanctuary policies and the hypocrisy of those who support them. By sending buses of newly arrived illegal aliens to some of America’s major metropolitan centers, Abbott

Joe Biden is a nostalgia president. He’s a link to the Obama era, of course. But he’s also a living reminder of the days when Democrats were automatically the party of white ethnics, especially Irish Catholics. For senior white voters in the Democratic coalition, the professed Catholic and Irish-ish Biden is an older, lesser Kennedy — but an heir to JFK nonetheless. Only now Biden has to contend with a real Kennedy for next year’s Democratic presidential nomination. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced his bid not even two weeks ago and already polls at 20% in the Democratic race. That’s partly a function of his famous name, of course.

The concerted effort by the media and Democrats to delegitimize the Supreme Court is the most consequential attack on our institutions in memory. Make no mistake. Today’s “Supreme Court Ethics Reform” hearing is meant to discredit the high court and slander justices with innuendo. Nothing else. Democrats are angry because the court happens to occasionally uphold basic constitutional principles of American governance. Democrats are nervous that originalist justices are going to weaken the administrative state or hand power back to localities or protect religious liberty or gun rights.

Conventional wisdom holds that last week’s vote by the Republican-controlled House of Representatives to approve a debt limit and spending reduction bill is meaningless. Democrats called the legislation dead on arrival in the Senate, making whatever the House decides to do on its own irrelevant. As with many things in Washington, the corporate media’s conventional wisdom is wrong. Approving a debt limit bill did more than dispel the narrative that the Republican House, and Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., will remain perpetually in disarray. By eliminating one of the major elements of Democrats’ political argument, it raised questions about their own strategic endgame.

We start with the likely American landscape over the next two years. Joe Biden has no choice but to focus on a purely negative message. So we already know his talking points for the next 18 months: “ultra MAGA” demons, “semi-fascist” insurrectionists, Trump!, Trump!, Trump!, and more Trump!, murdering fellow Americans by putting limits on partial-birth and early abortions, “censorship” as banning critical race theory indoctrination and grooming books, inciting racial tribalism, along with the corollary old boilerplate triad of isms—“fascism, sexism, and racism!” There will be no Democratic primary debates, even if support for Robert Kennedy, Jr. surges to 25-30 percent of the Democratic electorate.

Opportunity is ripe for Republicans to win back the Senate next year – if they can land the candidates to pull it off. The GOP needs a net gain of one or two seats to flip the chamber, depending on which party wins the White House in 2024, and it’s Democrats who are defending the tougher seats.
