The latest numbers are in showing the boycott against Bud Light taking a dramatic toll on the brand. (snip) The latest sales data from NielsenIQ and Bump Williams Consulting shows that Bud Light sales fell 17% in dollars, while volume dropped a whopping 21% in the week ended April 15. That’s sharply ahead of the 6% drop in sales dollars and 11% drop in volume that Bud Light had suffered during the week ended April 8 — the seven days that immediately followed the April 1 launch of the controversial Mulvaney campaign on social media.

The problem with conservatives: we forgive. In a few months from now, Bud Light will be doing the same as it always has. Sure, they take a few months hit. And that's no small potatoes so they do their contrition. But they will be right back doing exactly the same thing, and their profits will be where they were or greater. It is we that is played the fool. We have a very short memory.

I pray that we don't forgive AB for this. I think they should try to redefine their target audience with trannies and other Alphabet wokesters though I suspect these are more often pretentious wine snobs. As a member of Bud Lights previous consumer base, I wish AB well - but it'll just have to be without me or my dollars. Let AB and Blackrock burn, baby.

Many -- but not all -- will return to Bud Light over time. And many do not realize that brands like Stella Artois and Michelob are owned by Annheuser-Busch. But here's hoping this debacle will still remind other companies of the cost of going woke, and the make them think twice before shoving a political/social agenda in their customers' faces (at their shareholders' expense).

I think that the average American is made of sterner stuff than some posters seem to believe. Given that the issue here is the abomination of transgenderism, my guess is that a majority of the boycotters have made a solemn oath to NEVER go back to Bud Light or any other Anheuser-Busch brands.

Although not a big beer drinker, at 83 years, I have consumed a fair amount. Over the years, my usual domestic beer was Bud. Not so much the "Light" "but just Budweiser. I will never again purchase a Budweiser product. Any support whatsoever for the "cancel culture" is a NFNF matter: "Never Forget, Never Forgive." Go Woke, Go Broke!

I do believe many conservatives are made of sterner stuff these days. I have not shopped at Target since they stopped allowing the Salvation Army Santas. That was a very long time ago. I stopped shopping at Bed Bath and Beyond. I have not watched Fox news for decades. Never was very impressed with them overall anyway. I do try to "vote" with my wallet, and stick to it.

There biggest problem is once somebody goes to another product it very hard to get them back. We buy beer by the case to drink at home and drink it in restaurants. It was habit that we always bought Bud in stores and ordered it in restaurants and in a barroom when we would go listen to an oldies band. We rediscovered coors and we’ll stick with that.

Not so sure about that, #2. A couple of years ago Bed, Bath and Beyond dumped My Pillow from their product line because Mike Lindell is such a huge Trump supporter. Now they are closing all of their BB&B stores plus their Buy Buy Baby stores and are in bankruptcy. Some of us elephants really do never forget.

I was in Food Lion this past weekend getting vittles for a party at my in-laws. While getting some wine I happened to overhear a man tell his wife after looking at all of the Bud Lite stacked on the floor and I quote, "I won't buy that (rhymes with spit) ever again." He proceeded to put a case of Yuengling in his cart. Now I told you that story to tell you this one. Yuengling is quite good and guys like that fella, friends of mine and I didn't take to kindly to Bud Lite's foray into the woke-sphere. I for one hope that their bottom line continues to bottom out. As they say go woke go and get a Conservative musician angry so they make a video shooting up your product.

The largest breweries selling beer in the USA other than AB InBev, are SABMiller, Heineken International. Molson Coors, and Pabst Brewing Company. Miller and Pilsner Urquell are owned by SABMiller Heineken and Amstel are owned by Heineken International Coors and Blue Moon are owned by Molson Coors Pabst Blue Ribbon and Schlitz are owned by Pabst Brewing Company Of course most smaller local breweries are not connected to AB InBev. We still have some good choices out there for mass market beers

San Fran drops charges against crowbar attacker 7 replies

Earlier this month, former San Francisco Fire Commissioner Don Carmignani was attacked by a homeless person with a crowbar. The attacker, Garrett Doty, was one of a group of vagrants who had been blocking Carmignani’s mother’s driveway and acting in a threatening fashion. The attack sent the former fire chief to the hospital for emergency surgery with a hole in the back of his skull. He also had a broken jaw and required fifty stitches. This looked like a fairly open-and-shut case, but last night the San Fran District Attorney’s office suddenly dropped the charges against Doty and dismissed the case.

I would call it controversial, but it was only controversial to people whose lives depend upon supporting vote fraud.

During a recent interview with Fox News' Neil Cavuto, lawyer and Democratic presidential candidate Robert Francis Kennedy Jr suggested that the Covid-19 lockdowns had helped to systematically wipe out America's middle class. He argued that the policies implemented during the pandemic were a boon to the wealthy while turning the lives of the poor and middle class upside down. "The lockdowns were absolutely catastrophic," Kennedy began. "Worst of all is what it did to the economy ... We shifted $4 trillion in wealth from the American middle class to this new aristocracy of billionaires."
