There are some great people on Fox but no one can replace Tucker just like no one could replace Rush. What was Fox thinking when they fired Tucker?!

Maybe they're looking for a Beyhar or Maddow type for a replacement? You know, for ratings.

Why would I watch a network that censors free speech, one that is going to spin a narrative that Murdoch approves of, rather than telling the truth? Why would I watch a network that doesn't cover topics I am interested in, only those Murdoch is interested in?

No. Not going back no matter who it is. Watters would be my choice if I got a vote but they blew it.

Of those on this list only Laura Ingraham would perhaps stop the audience from fleeing that time slot. She is not nearly as eclectic as Carlson but does on occasion break free from the conventional Republican stranglehold on Fox News. She was excellent on Covid and takes on the transgender craze. She opposes our role in Ukraine.
Jesse Watters is too shallow and Hannity is absolutely hopeless. The best replacement would be Mark Steyn who is anathema to the top brass.

I have absolutely no interest in the Fox Fiasco & whatever “Big-Name”, or little-name pundit might fill their empty slots.
I am interested in what Tucker will be doing, & where. I look forward to watching, hearing, or reading what he has to say.

#3...OMG no.
Fox's Will Cain shows real promise or Jesse Kelly, not on Fox right now, but he is smart quick and has a great sense of humor. I can't think of a current "big name" who could step in right now. I also get the feeling, however, that FOX is no longer trying to please us.

I like Watters in small doses but that's it. When Tucker spoke, it was like he was talking to you. When Watters speaks, it's like he's reading to you....not the same natural delivery Tucker has. Also, Watters just doesn't have Tucker's depth, and there's always that smugness that's always just a micron below the surface with him. They'll find someone to fill Tucker's spot, but they have no one who can fill his shoes.

It really won't matter who they replace Tucker with if they're not allowed the freedom of speech or to say anything that might contradict the party line. It will simply become a conveyor belt of hosts until they get one who be content saying nothing more than the Establishment wants them to say.

No one can replace Tucker Carlson. Certainly not any of the people mentioned in this thread. Fox News has lost their prime time dominance.

You don't "replace" a big name talent with millions of loyal fans by trying to substitute him with some other big name, the way you change socks. Hypocrisy and betrayal are not soon forgotten. Fox will suffer, not from lost talent, but lost trust.

Dream on. Tucker Carlson is like Donald Trump, one of a kind and the best for the job. Fox is not going to recover from their stupid mistake smelling good with anybody else.

I'll be surprised if Lachlan Murdoch has given mixed martial arts champ Sean Hannity Tucker's time slot. It's been rumored that Wal-banger has been jealous of Carlson's success and has relished being on at 8pm since the days of Bill O'Rielly. In either case I won't be watching.

I have stopped watching the 8pm spot. I mostly watch FOX Business (except for Cavuto). The only way I would watch again at 8 is if they replace (?) with Will Cain, Tammy Bruce or Mark Steyn. Other than those three good by to Fox

I'm betting that Bushian Dana Perino would be tone-deaf Paul Ryan's choice. No thanks. She'd sink like a stone.
Listening to the excruciating Mike Lindell every five minutes is like that terrible song that you can't get out of your head. Or Chinese Water Torture. Take your pick.

Any "Big-Name" pundit out there would recognize the censorship minefield they'd have to traverse each night. They'd know that developing a platform for themselves free from employer restrictions/conditions is the way of the future. Many of the names mentioned in the article are Fox in-house "talent" and while fine for the most part, I don't consider them as "big names". My preference would be Mark Steyn but I think he's too smart to sign on with Fox.
Anyhow....the way Fox is headed, the only one who (sadly) would not have to worry about being censored is......Don Lemon. I'm only being PARTLY facetious.

Wait a minute here.
I remember when Bill O'Reilly was canned. Oh, nobody could replace BOR! Well, Tucker Carlson showed up and after a year or so, shazaam ... who was the guy Tucker replaced? i remember ol' El Rushbo even had a nickname for Tucker in those early years (perhaps pre-FOX), kind of a richy-rich kid nickname.
And Tucker delivered. Maybe FOX will strike gold again. Maybe not.
Mark Steyn would be a great choice, but Mark doesn't deal well with corporate overlords. I'm sure Rush's show was his for the taking following that loss, but Mark only guest hosted as a personal favor to Rush. He's had some heart issues recently, and probably doesn't need the pressure (internal and external) of the show.
Reminds me of what I, as a Green Bay Packer fan, am dealing with. For 30 years, we've had two quarterbacks -- Brett Farve and Aaron Rodgers. Both Hall-of-Fame and perhaps top 10 QB in NFL history. What's our chance of going three-for-three with Jordan Love? Odds aren't with us, but let's see what happens.
To FOX. And with Tucker.

Throwing out some oldies & moldies (none of my preference): Newt Gingrich, John Kasich, Blubbering John Boehner or Michelle Bachman. Who I'd choose to see? New face would be nice, like Konstantin Kisin from the recent (awesome) Oxford debates video. Or a climate change hoax de-crier like the Junk Science guy Steve Malloy, maybe with a revolving panel of debunkers as guests. Or the Wild Card, Rob Schneider or Adam Carolla to bring conservative entertainment/sport/music/literary faces into the light for their conservative fan base.Carlson is gonna fly high from here out & it won't be back to any network that holds him back.

No one who would come close to filling the Tucker vacuum would want to take the job. Too many restrictions on what he/she could get away with saying, under this new management structure at FOX. No one of Mark Styne's stature would want to take on the workload Tucker endured. Frankly, as much as I enjoy Mark Styne, when he filled in for Rush, he got a little boring after a few days. He's great only in two- or three-day doses.
Tucker might thrive if given a job like Rush LImbaugh's radio show. He's no Rush, but neither is anyone else.
FOX has now jumped the shark. They'll move Watters, Ingraham or Hannity into Tucker's slot and kiss their ratings goodbye. But at least the Murdoch boys' wives will be invited to all the hoity-toity wine and cheese parties thrown by the lefty New York multi-millionaires they so crave rubbing shoulders with.

I like Laura's show but she is a little too --how can I say it?--rude for the 8:00 slot. She did used to be a fill-in for O'Reilly, so maybe. Jesse Watters, no. But it really doesn't matter to me because I'm pretty much done with Fox News.
