The Arizona House voted 46-13 to expel State Rep. Liz Harris (R-Chandler) on Wednesday after conducting an investigation into her bringing a witness to testify to the Senate Elections Committee, who accused legislators and other public officials of committing crimes. Jacqueline Breger told the committee that Democratic Governor Katie Hobbs, State House Speaker Ben Toma (R-Peoria) and others executed fraudulent deeds as part of a bribery scheme involving the Sinaloa drug cartel, along with other accusations.

Hmm. I guess if you are committing crimes, you don't want people talking about it....so you shut them down.

No worries. I am sure the Democrats will demand she is reinstated as they did the guy in Tennessee. We can't have two different systems for similar offenses. (Sarcasm here in case it's not recognized.)

I don't understand. Is there no Federal, State or Local interest in further investigating the claims made by the witness? How can Arizona House members have any credibility with the public, if their response is to expel the member who delivered a witness willing to testify before them? And where are our federal agencies? Do they not have a duty to investigate when someone steps forward, publicly alleging violations of State and Federal laws?

People who are confident of their innocence do not do this sort of thing.
Guiltless people do not try to destroy their accusers.
I can only conclude that this action confirms that the allegations are true.

Imagine you were a Republican legislator in AZ and one of your colleagues (soccer mom) accused other legislators of having criminal ties, what would you do? I posit that most honest legislators would give a fair hearing and if the evidence weighed heavily in favor of a criminal investigation, they would contact the AZ DPS to continue the investigation.

How dare she? Will she be sent right back by her district like the two expelled in TN? Or will the republicans there show how spineless they are?

Rino's joined the Democrats for the expulsion. Democrats in Texas put their expelled member back in office. Arizona Republicans should do the same.

The John McCain wing of the Arizona republican party still holds great influence. Notice that the witness named several R's along with the D's.

Can Ms. Harris run in any election to win her seat back?
Seems that the Tennessee terrorists can do so, why not Ms. Harris? Oh yeah, sorry, silly me. Ms. Harris is a a Republican un-washed and needs to be banished by the uniparty in power.
Well, if she runs, let me know. I'll toss a donation her way.

#7 has a great point and I've seen it at a very local level. I once ran for the board of my HOA with an offer of conducting an audit, doing cost analysis, reviewing accounting practices, and efficiency reviews. I was shot down like a rogue elephant.
The state that produced John McCain will never gets it's act together because corruption has become a way of life.

The national party directs state legislatures, primarily through groups managed by Karl Rove. We see this in Arizona, in Georgia, in Wisconsin. Populist Conservatives are being isolated and punished by allegedly republican leaders.
This is Rove Romney Bushies not letting go. Despite the fact that the Tea Party and MAGA represent a repudiation of big government overreach, corruption and ineptitude, these second and third generation glorified college republican members of the political class couldn't find a statesman among them with a flashlight and a GPS system.

Same as New York, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada and all the leftist coast states. Have you seen the state police arrest just ONE ballot drop box knapsack stuffer? Have you seen the state police arrest those that in the middle of the night pull suitcases from under draped and tables to send ballots through the scanners? Have you seen state police arrest rental truck drivers and people in privately owned warehouses handling paper ballots? Hundreds of examples that the police are corrupt, inept or both.

The 13 RINOs who voted her out are in the pocket of the Sinaloa drug lords. This plays like an episode straight out of 'Narcos'! How long are we going to let them kill our kids and erode our Sovereignty for their own financial benefit?

Bipartisan vote. The government protecting their own.
On the flip side, I have to wonder if the accuser offered even a shred of evidence to backup what they said.
Seems like overkill regardless.
Coming down hard on the legislator who supported the accuser gives credibility to the accusations.
People will still talk about this. Just not in a government forum.
That's how revolutions happen.

The cartels are in the Arizona house and senate...they are the soros of the border...they donate to criminals that will cover their posteriors and insure a continuing supply of open border rhetoric that is almost laughable compared to Washington...where WE have our own cartel committing crimes...WE are in the fight of our lives...and President Trump is the only one who can solve the problem...now WE must win 2024 by staying on top of all the rat's cheating....
