Stanford Law Dean Jenny Martinez released a detailed letter Wednesday criticizing the students who heckled federal judge Kyle Duncan and announcing that DEI administrator Tirien Steinbach, who interrupted his lecture, is now on leave. Martinez declined to submit to calls that she retract her letter of apology to Duncan and emphasized that Stanford’s speaker disruption policy was violated by both students and administrators.
At an event hosted by Stanford’s Federalist Society earlier this month, Duncan, who sits on the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, was expecting to give a wide-ranging lecture on recent decisions that Court had handed down. However, audio and video of the event revealed that the judge

My respect to you, Jenny Martinez.
I know this makes life awkward for you at Stanford. Your courage and integrity are noted and appreciated.

I don't think he has a spine. He does, however, have an ear and a brain.
Now list the names of all the students who disrupted the speech. Employers should know who NOT to hire.
Of course, there are some firms that won't think that way. They can, er, go woke.

Outstanding. I hope this is just the start of more people with common sense standing up to the woke activist crazies. Normal people need to push back and take back our institutions, our language, and our culture.

On leave WITH FULL PAY, and very likely with a nice stipend thrown in for spending money while she's vacation in Hawaii.

Hoo boy, she's asking for it. The Left are merciless when anyone on their side breaks ranks. Kind of like how Muslims treat former Muslims who became Christians.

Just until the kerfuffle subsides, then it's back to business as usual with retroactive pay for the poor, misunderstood diversity dean.

What a load! So one of the foremost 'law' schools in the nations has to punish ALL students with an indoctrination program about the 1st amendment! What???? Shouldn't introduction to law include the basics on the 1st amendment? Why do students from 1st year to dang near graduating have to take a course o the 1st amendment? This isn't a strong response. This is a get out of jail free response. And the quota dean still has a job, just a nice cushy vacation with pay until the brew-ha-ha blows over. Honestly, I expected no less from oe of the 'finest law schools' in the nation. Don't need lawyers but I will ask if the one that I may need went to Stanford or Yale or Harvard or Georgetown law school. If so, I know they can't represent me and will probably try to find a woke crime they can accuse against me.

Long, long overdue for a Dean or administrator or whatever to enforce civility on the campus. This became the rule when any Conservative or a Republican. I particularly remember the abuse launched on Michelle Malkin and Ann Coulter, for starters
By the time kids are in college, they ought to have left their childish tantrums behind. This goes for the rest of the faculty, too.

Send that odious she-boon back to the ratty couch on her urban front porch where they found her. Maybe she can make a living giving bad advice to neighbors.

just a thought: Stanford "DEI administrator Tirien Steinbach" has a brilliant future with the demcommie party as a professional mouthpiece ala Juan Williams and ... the attraction of bug bucks is not bad incentive, either

The dirtbag lowlife Dean of the Stanford Law School was FORCED into making an apology by public opinion! Certainly not from California but the rest of the country, sans New York and Massachusetts!

That's making the right statement. The corpulent conniving cow of a colleague can now take her fat lying butt to McDonald's and get some work for which she is maybe qualified. DEI has set America back in a world where peak performance and respect for all people, not just the woke, will be required to pull us out of this leftist mess that helps exactly nobody.

#14, If I needed a lawyer, there is no way that I would hire one who is under the age of 50. Same with doctors. At least the older ones are less likely to have been indoctrinated in woke garbage.

Thanks to the video within the article, the rude shouting ''students'' were shown with plates of food/snacks on their tables. At least they expended no energy while screaming and hollering like red diaper doper babies.

Yeah, #14 and #16. And to add, I sure as hell wouldn't hire some wokester to help wife and me manage our financial investments. We prefer someone to was taught and understands the Great Depression, the 2008 financial downturn, and the ongoing collapse of our banking system.

So is this how those hecklers are going to defend clients when they become lawyers? Heckle the prosecuting attorney, witnesses, and the judge if they don't like what they say?
I assume they will be defense attorneys, just because, you know, The Man, and that speaking truth to power thing.

I heard Stanford's tuition was $54,000 a year...now why would any parent spend that kind of money when the staff...as in this case, are so ignorant and woke...Stanford should remember...GO WOKE...GO BROKE...as the bank in your sister city did....

Kudos to you Dean Martinez, you have earned my respect! These days, most Deans do not.
What would a School of Law be without respecting the Rule of Law? I pray your wayward administrator & students LEARN from this experience.

Hope Steinbach is permanently on leave. We don’t need trash like her teaching at an $86K a year tuition school.
