Yeah, who knew?
As a non-coffee drinker in a coffee-obsessed world, I’m pleased to know that at least in this case, I’m not a genetically-coded “inherently racist” white supremacist, by virtue of my whiteness. I am a “cis” white male, though, so I do qualify as “all of the above” in every other ridiculous left-wing sense, so there’s that.
Anyway, a recent idiotic article posted on Afru.com makes the argument that drinking coffee perpetuates white supremacy. Yeah. The ridiculous piece suggests that because coffee was “created by black people,” if you enjoy drinking the stuff, you’re “helping an industry built on racism.”

I am not a coffee drinker but this sure makes me want to take it up, and have that "morning cup of white supremacy".

I’m trying to feel ashamed, but the coffee is almost ready and it’s seductive aroma is just too tempting.

If it helps in any way to alleviate racial tensions, I’m drinking from a black cup with no white cream and no white sugar. Does that help?

'...because coffee was “created by black people,”...'
No.
The same God that created black people created coffee too.
Thank God on both.

The far left has overused the "racist" label.and have moved on to the "white supremacist" label.
Now they are trying to invent hatred by those of us being a "coffee drinker".
My God, when will it ever end?

FTA: coffee was “created by black people,”.
So, this limits it’s use by anyone else? They really don’t want to go down that road. I do believe the piano was invented by white folks. The saxophone? Today’s recording equipment? The very clothes people wear? Basketballs? Pretty stupid argument.

Stupid people lack intelligence.
Fools lack the wisdom to use their intelligence correctly.
Dishonest people distort the truth.
Stir it all together, and in this case, you get 'coffee is racist'.
This is how dumb dishonest fools think.
The woke crowd can put THAT in their coffee.

So I guess now I can call the J M Smucker Company and tell them not only is eating their peanut butter and jelly in sandwiches racist (yes, the race-tards say along with eating watermelon and chicken PB& J eating is racist). I can tell them that drinking their Folgers coffee makes me a White Supremacist or in my case a White Supremacist in Blackface like fellow Conservatives Larry Elder and Candace Owens.

I think the ONLY response that should be given to these spittle-flinging horses' behinds is "shut the [] up" and then go about your business. If race mongers target a business, then someone else target the race mongers. I'm tired of these willfully ignorant activist pukes getting away with their defecations. They deserve no respect, and running around screaming 'raaaa-sssisss' does NOT get my respect and I have no fear of beating them back. They deserve nothing.

I would be ashamed to be seen as a racist but breakfast time is just too early for Ripple. I wonder if these enlightened POC know that most of the people in the Middle East drink stronger coffee than whites do and they run a fairly deep shade of brown in most places. Oh, and they still actively practice slavery. Oh well, scroo-em, I'm going to put on my COTTON Jockeys and get ready to take a walk, right after I finish my coffee.

At first I thought the article discussed by Red State was satire so I went to the website and read it all. I think it was sincere yet it was so outrageously batty and littered with “historical” inaccuracies that I can’t be sure. The comments on story’s website were scathing.

Coffee was not created by a black man. I believe it was European monks that figured it out. Sheep or goat herders noticed that their flocks became really wired after eating certain berries, so they brought the berries to the local monastery and the rest is history.

#28, The coffee bean is grown in the tropics so could not have originated in Europe. Not one knows where drinking it originated. Many say in Ethiopia after people noticed goats eating the berries became frisky. The Arabs brewed it centuries before Europeans began drinking it.

If "coffee was 'created by black people'", wouldn't drinking it be supporting and celebrating Black contributions to the world?
And what about all those Moslems drinking the stuff?
I am not reading this article to see if my questions are addressed.
