Why I love Governor DeSantis

He fights. And unlike some others who fight, he wins. His fights aren’t carried out through rhetoric: he strikes the Left where it hurts them most. The Left has been winning battles based upon a brilliant strategy they adopted in the 60s and 70s. Once it became clear that the strategy of protest was doomed to fail, Leftists adopted what German socialist Rudi Dutschke called “the long march through the institutions,” explicitly referring to Mao’s famous Long March that ended with the victory of the communists in China.

Comments:

Good description of the DeSantis strategy for countering the left.

DeSantis can fight all he wants. It's Trump this turn. The Deep State must be in panic.

" he fights". Oh ok Dave. Everything this guy stated about the Gov. could be written in spades about President Trump. The difference and it is a big difference President Trump has already done it all...without the Club For Growth or the dark Bush crony millions.

Oh, you mean Jeb DeSantis? If he doesn't publicly stand against the Trump arrest/prosecution/two-tiered justice, he will finally reveal himself to be what he is: bought and paid for.

Since Trump lives in FLA, NY must request an extradiction from DeSantis. If he signs one, his national political future ends.

I have been the conscientious, dutiful voter for over 50 years. I didn't realize until the stolen election that I was merely jumping through the hoops and running on the hamster wheel set up by the deep state. I'm not doing that any more. DeSantis is NOT his own man. He talks a good game, and at the governor level he's OK But all the bills come due at the presidential level and we're just gonna get screwed again. No Trump, no vote. I'm DONE with their game.

I continue to beat my head against the wall that people are acting like elections are as "normal". Run Trump----when they steal it AGAIN, then our side hasn't lost a rising star and FL hasn't lost an excellent Governor. Fix the system or all this is pointless.

#4 Trump can always wave extradiction. I like DeSantis too and for people here to inply he's a RINO in the mold of the Bush's is ridiculous.

Any politician running for power and relying on the largesse of contributors is, by definition, a prostitute. The bigger the bribe, the higher the place in the "pecking" order.

FTA: “ I do take heart in the fact that DeSantis at least fully understands the task in a way that Trump didn’t. Trump knew he faced an enemy, but he never seem to grasp just how pervasive their power is. They own most of the institutions, and he fought them piecemeal as they attacked him. He was a counterpuncher.” Quite true. Obviously very few people, including Trump, knew in 2016 how terrified “the swamp” was by Trump’s victory. Before he took office the deep state termites were frantically destroying his administration’s foundation. DeSantis learned from this and is going on offense. He is racking up wins while Trump, to the great detriment for our country, was stuck in defensive mode. The swamp defeated him. As of yet DeSantis is beating it.

#2, I agree with you and if you believe DeSantis’s donors aren’t doing this for their own agenda and benefit, you are naive. Club for Growth, Chamber of Commerce, the Bushes, Cheney’s, Romney’s, and the rest of that crowd are determined to destroy Trump because he is not like them! He puts the country first, abhors unnecessary wars for profit, and believes the Constitution is correct when it declares the government is of, by and for the people, and believes in protecting our sovereignty. DeSantis’s cabal is a big reason that our country is such danger. They love the status quo even if it is corrupt and lawless. It meets their needs quite nicely. Didn’t your mom ever tell you that you will be judged by the company you keep? Ronnie is cozying up to the wrong crowd.

Former President Trump told his supporters earlier this year he would be their “retribution” if reelected. He told supporters last week he would direct the Justice Department (DOJ) to investigate “every Marxist prosecutor in America.” And Trump over the weekend vowed to “root out … the radical-left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country.” Trump’s own words have made increasingly clear how fixated he is on revenge and targeting his perceived enemies if he wins a second term in the White House next November.

I'm genuinely unsure whether it's even worth making the effort to substantively examine former President Trump's multi-post 'Truth' Social thread hammering Florida Governor Ron DeSantis -- this latest broadside came in response to the latter Republican's interview with Piers Morgan -- but just in case factual information still matters to anyone, let's have a look. [Snip] Conservative voters must decide: Is the purpose of the 2024 GOP presidential primary to Make Donald Trump's Feelings Great Again, or to put themselves in the best position to win the general election?

I can’t live in this country if he became president,” Streisand said told late-night host Stephen Colbert during an interview on The Late Show after being asked about her opinion of the idea of a second second Trump administration. After Colbert asked her where she would live if not the United States, the “Woman in Love” singer said, “Probably to England. I like England.”

Eight high school students in Las Vegas between the ages of 13 and 17 have been arrested on suspicion of murder in the fatal beating of a 17-year-old classmate, authorities announced Tuesday at a news conference. Las Vegas police homicide Lt. Jason Johansson said investigators were still working to identify two more students believed to have participated in the Nov. 1 fight that he said was over a pair of wireless headphones and a vape pen. Johansson said the local FBI office assisted with the arrests Tuesday morning of the eight students. The two outstanding students will also face murder charges, he said.

When Louisiana’s Mike Johnson was pulled from obscurity and elected House speaker last month, many conservatives were cautiously optimistic that the man with the self-professed biblical “worldview” and somewhat solid voting record would be the fighter they’ve needed to halt Democrats’ Marxist takeover of society. Unfortunately, it didn’t take long to discover that Johnson is just as weak-kneed as his Republican predecessors.

Iran claims Hamas did not give advance notice of its Oct. 7 terrorist attacks and will not join the group in its fight against Israel, Reuters reported on Wednesday. Iranian supreme leader Ali Khamenei told Hamas head Ismail Haniyeh last month that, though Iran would continue to offer moral support, it would not get directly involved in the terror group’s fight against Israel, according to Iranian and Hamas officials who anonymously spoke to Reuters. Khamenei pressured Haniyeh to suppress Palestinian calls for Iran and Hezbollah, one of its proxy terror groups, to fully join the fight.

About 300 million people in the United States would be put at risk of death from exposure to radioactive fallout in the four days following a nuclear attack, according to a new report that models the possible effects of such a grim event. If the US is attacked with nuclear weapons, an adversary would most likely concentrate all fire on the country's intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) launch facilities. Any retaliatory attack from the US would come from these silos, located in Colorado, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, and Wyoming - and taking them out would be an enemy's first priority.

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan today said Israel was a 'terror state' committing war crimes and violating international law in Gaza, while repeating his view that Hamas gunmen are not terrorists but a 'political party elected by Palestinians'. In a fiery speech to members of his party, Erdogan said Turkey would work to ensure that Israel's political and military leaders are recognised as 'terrorists' and brought to trial in international courts. A ranting Erdogan said Israel was a 'terrorists state' intent on destroying Gaza along with the thousands of people who live in the besieged territory.

The Biden administration is extending a sanctions waiver that will allow Iran continued access to $10 billion in previously frozen assets, The Associated Press reported Tuesday. The four-month extension will allow Iran continued access to previously frozen $10 billion in electricity revenues for humanitarian aid, according to the AP. Critics of the Biden administration have said that giving Iran to access frozen funds will free up money in Tehran’s money reserves and allow them to carry on sponsoring terrorism. The sanctions waiver will authorize Iraq to continue purchasing electricity services from Iran and give Tehran access to the billions in payments currently stored in the Iraqi banks, according to the AP.

Protestors clashed with police outside of the Democratic National headquarters as pro-Palestine groups flooded the front facility and violence erupted. Officers have already made several arrests after 150 activists surged towards the Washington, DC, building on Wednesday night. Protesters gathered to call for a ceasefire in the Israel-Gaza conflict, but the gathering quickly turned into chaos. Shocking footage from the scene shows police attempting to drag protesters away from the entrance to the DNC building as they chant 'let Gaza live.'

Some may blame video games, others the music. Some may lay the problem at the feet of years of progressive education and politics, while still others point to the prevalence of social media. Some will point out that the nuclear family has been atomized over the ages through sexual liberation, federal intervention, and feminism. Others will look to conservatives who dithered about taxes while the country rotted from the inside. More than likely, it was all of the above that contributed to the chaos that reigns in the United States. To a certain degree, cops have always faced a certain level of animus.

Hundreds of Jewish Americans, on their way to Tuesday’s March for Israel at the National Mall in D.C., were left stranded on the tarmac of a local airport after their bus drivers coordinated a “mass sick out” day to prevent the travelers from attending the rally. Around 300 of the 900 passengers flown in by the Jewish Federation of Detroit were left on tarmac of Dulles International Airport for nearly eleven hours, causing them to miss the entire March for Israel event before being sent back home. When several buses failed to appear upon their 10:30 a.m. landing, many travelers had no way to leave the

During his show on Fox News, Jesse Watters revealed that the Secret Service has been misleading the public about a cocaine investigation at the White House. According to over 100 pages of documents obtained through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, the narrative surrounding the discovery and handling of cocaine at the White House appears fraught with inconsistencies and cover-ups. The Gateway Pundit reported in July that Hazmat crews were dispatched inside the entrance gate near the West Wing of the White House to investigate a suspicious white substance that tested positive for cocaine hydrochloride.
