Former President Donald Trump is urging supporters to “guard the vote” during next year’s election, a phrase that has set off alarm bells among pro-democracy advocates who say it signals permission to take extreme measures that could intimidate voters and threaten election workers.
The phrase is a relatively novel one for Trump, though activists in the far-right movement have been setting the groundwork for it to be deployed more widely.
Former national security adviser Michael Flynn has spent months repeating the phrase in posts, speeches and interviews.

Boohoo on this crappy article raising a false alarm of right wing voter intimidation (domestic terrorism) by Trump supporters. The article is repeating DNC talking points along the lines of Trump being a threat to our democracy tripe.

Only the AssPress and the other criminal corporate media would interpret DJT remarks this way, because we know there is no fraud in Philly.

In other words, we can't afford to have safe, honest, and secure elections. We need those Philadelphia precincts where 120% of eligible voters voted, with coincidentally all votes being cast for Biden.

Strange, I remember the Obama Administration dropping charges against Minister King Samir Shabazz and Jerry Jackson, two members of the New Black Panther Party, who were filmed standing armed outside outside a Philadelphia polling station on Election Day in November 2008, brandishing nightsticks and yelling at white voters that they were "about to be ruled by a black man". That was just youthful highjinks, right?

In that case, he should just hire the Democrat-approved New Black Panther Party to guard the vote

Those who disagree are the ones who have stolen elections all across the country including the 2020 presidential election and the two senate runoff elections in Georgia in 2022. Remember, "They are who they want you to hate". China owns the democratic party and our country, time to take it back, legally.

Some election officials SHOULD be intimidated. Read the story about the post-WW2 Battle of Athens. Our freedom was bought by bullets and blood - sometimes its restoration requires no less a willingness to do battle.

So basically the FBI is already planning to wear MAGA hats and disrupt polling places, and blame it on Trump.
Shock, shock (not)...

FTA: "Experts say the context primes Trump supporters to not only expect fraud in diverse Democratic cities next year, but to intervene to ensure Trump wins."
Then again, "Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it."
No reason we can't "Trust but verify."

Considering Philly has seen 105% participation in some wards with no republican votes registered, I'd say it's warranted.

To Leftist/Commies, Democracy means everyone that ever existed gets to vote...Early and Often!
This includes the Dead, the Insane, Criminals and anyone wanting to vote many times.
That is why America is NOT a Democracy no what the morons on the Left say. We have a Republic (if we can keep it)!

Listen now! When Trump says be peaceful it’s code for do violence.
If a Trump supporter is being hit by someone and says “stop hitting me!”, that’s aggressive violence.
If Trump says let’s have secure voting that’s code for intimidate minorities and go forth and cheat.
Trump bad. Dims good. It’s simple. You don’t even need to think about it.

I'm sorry for the Never-Trumpers that they have to sink to relying on the A**Press to try to smear Trump. I think I'd just stay quiet if that's the best you've got. I'm just saying...

I guess I can understand why Democrats are so upset that Republicans might take extreme measures that could intimidate voters and threaten election workers. Only Democrats are allowed to do that!

Is that what the armed Black Panthers were doing outside polling places in 2016? I remember Obama's DOJ dropping all charges against them.

Saw a small town newspaper where all the news articles were by AP or U.S.A. Today. One of there favorite phrases is ‘debunked charges of voter fraud.’

Remember when the New Black Panther party members 'guarded the vote' in Philly with baseball bats? Intimidating white voters? They pled guilty to the charge then the DA decided to drop the case before sentencing could happen.

Well when 200K votes materialized last year out of the back a truck in Philly and no one could do anything about it I would say there was reason to be extra vigilant this coming election. Philly is notorious for fake votes, many of which come straight from the cemetery. It used to be a running joke but since it has given us Biden the joke is no longer funny and this mess needs to be cleaned up. Something smells in Philly and it ain't the fish market.

15 & 19. This article is probably new to most LDotters, but for the past 24 hours, it's been featured on NPR, ABC, WaPo, Reuters, MSN, USNews, and the other countless tentacles of the AP. No matter how much we may take comfort in reading RedState, Breitbart, American Thinker, and even Real Clear Politics this month, this "guard the vote" article is the election message most Americans are reading today. As a few others here have noted, we are not "Never Trumpers", just conservatives with open eyes to what's arrayed against him -- and against us. Our votes will be there for him, but many of don't think they will be enough.

The corresponding Democrat phrase is "Steal the Vote" and that gets a pass from the AssPress.

Trump's recent "Guard the vote" comment in Philadelphia has led to widespread accusations that his supporters (including the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers) will attempt widespread intimidation and fraud in the election. Just a touch of things to come.
