Fact Check: Ten False and Misleading Claims
in Trump's Latest Anti-DeSantis Rant

I'm genuinely unsure whether it's even worth making the effort to substantively examine former President Trump's multi-post 'Truth' Social thread hammering Florida Governor Ron DeSantis -- this latest broadside came in response to the latter Republican's interview with Piers Morgan -- but just in case factual information still matters to anyone, let's have a look. [Snip] Conservative voters must decide: Is the purpose of the 2024 GOP presidential primary to Make Donald Trump's Feelings Great Again, or to put themselves in the best position to win the general election?

Trump showing again why the Democrats want him in 2024.

I’m already tired of this nonsense. Trump makes his own attacks. Desantis gets this guy to do it so desantis can act holier than thou. Very traditional- the dims have antifa burn down a church so they can act all innocent when they accuse trump of the fedsurrection. Sick of it. Already.

Trump is his own man. DeSantis is a wholly owned subsidiary of Wall Street globalists. That alone ‘trumps’ all the points made in here. The voters are not stupid.

I don't give a damn about Donald Trump's "feelings". I give everything about saving this republic from the evil disaster that Senile Joe bidet's unelected Communist puppet masters have inflicted on every aspect of this country!!!! And the only person who has the "gravitas" to do that is Donald Trump!!!!! At this point, DeSantis reminds me for more of George W. Bush than Ronald Reagan. DeSantis is the very popular governor of a state that has become solidly Republican in the last few years. Because he has a strong majority of Republicans in the state legislature, he can get anything he wants passed and made into law. Because of that, and the strong conservative things he says, he seems like a very strong and in-control governor. Even the media there tends to be positive in their reporting of him. He has a pretty wife and nice-looking kids. Sadly, that sounds exactly like George W. Bush not that long ago when he was the very popular and competent governor of our state. So he ran for president long before he was really ready to make that step, and when he encountered the brutal opposition of the national Demon-Rats, and far too many Republi-Can'ts, he folded like a wet noodle. We are still paying for many of the disasters his incompetency caused during his administration. I do think DeSantis is stronger than Bush. But he is still going to have to sell his soul to special interests to afford to run for president. They don't do that for free. And some of the special interests that have already been supporting him are very troubling. And he has yet to have to deal with a hostile work environment. It's basically a "love fest" in Florida for him. So, no, Donald Trump 1,000,000% in 2024. Then if DeSantis wants to try it in 2028 after Trump has done all the dirty work to clean up this bidet disaster, he will have my support.

#4...EXCELLENT comments. I would just add that Donald Trump is not a politician. That is evident in the way he speaks. Politician's are always trying to be "all things to all people." Trump was all in from the beginning on his promises to fix or improve the things that were wrong in the country. He didn't tackle economic or "race issues" by talking about them constantly, he tackled them practically and got results that improved the economy and eased racial tensions through actual job creation. Also, Trump was not beholden to donors, and while at this point, Desantis has done very well by Florida but he is beholden to his mentors and donors. As long as he is governor in one state out of fifty, his backers can let him stand his ground on Disney and the schools. Will he be allowed to do that on a national stage? I'd rather see Desantis as VP in '24 then bat clean up in '28. A bit more age and wisdom might be the very thing that prepares him and his family to withstand the onslaught. It took a "bull in a china shop" to shake up Obama's "managed decline" of the United States. We had a glimpse of all of the possibilities again. We saw Trumps policies actually work. It is all the more noticeable since Biden's reversal of the everything that was working. Just an aside, certain journalists and radio hosts are crushing big time on Desantis. It's getting sickening. Listen to old recordings from Rush. You may learn that it's possible to admire another man and articulate why you do, without acting like you want to date him.

Attacking the messenger? I asked myself if Benson was making things up, but the videos show Trump actually said what Benson wrote in this article. And those quotes sound like Trump is a lefty democrat. complimenting Charlie Christ over DeSantis? Really? Trump seems to be getting very worried.

It is distressing that Trump is now telling certified lies about DeSantis, many that are obviously false. I continue to be amazed that he is attacking DeSantis on the Covid issue. With his abject support of Fauci during 2020, including calls to shut down the country, he sets himself up for a brutal take down on this issue by DeSantis. Screeching bald-faced lies about a political opponent is a Democrat tactic and I'm sorry that Donald Trump is doing it.

Stop with this, please. Joe Biden tells whopper lies on an almost daily basis, makes up stuff about his past, has his press Secretary claim the border is secure and the economy is strong. Trump, meanwhile, is a salesman. His book is “The Art Of The Deal.” He makes effective use of puffing. Most Americans understand that when Big Jim’s Autos claims they have the lowest prices in town, you don’t get out the fact checkers and sue Big Jim if he’s wrong. No reasonably intelligent person is misled by Trump. Please worry about our current president’s lies and not Trump’s salesmanship.

He fights. And unlike some others who fight, he wins. His fights aren’t carried out through rhetoric: he strikes the Left where it hurts them most. The Left has been winning battles based upon a brilliant strategy they adopted in the 60s and 70s. Once it became clear that the strategy of protest was doomed to fail, Leftists adopted what German socialist Rudi Dutschke called “the long march through the institutions,” explicitly referring to Mao’s famous Long March that ended with the victory of the communists in China.

During an event at Georgetown University on Thursday, Nancy Pelosi, an abortion activist, declared that she is “pro-life” because she values the lives of children after they are born. Additionally, she dismissed her Archbishop’s demand for her to repent for endorsing abortion. Despite professing to be a devout Catholic, Pelosi promotes several policies that conflict with Christian doctrines, such as advocating for unrestricted access to abortion.“I think I’m pro-life because I care about children and the rest,” she proudly stated. Pelosi then proceeded to condemn Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone for refusing to offer her communion

John Fetterman (D-PA), 53, speaking or moving since he was admitted to the psych ward at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland on February 15, allegedly for treatment of severe clinical depression. Since then, Fetterman’s staff and wife Gisele have only released a handful of staged photos that show he is alive and at least somewhat cognizant. No one except for his wife and a few of his senior staff members claim to have spoken with Fetterman, but they have not provided proof.

Ford Motor Company says its electric vehicle (EV) unit, “Ford Model e,” is losing billions of dollars, and should be viewed as a startup company. Model e has lost $3 billion before taxes over the last two years, and is expected to lose another $3 billion this year as the company invests in the new technology, according to a report by Associated Press. In 2021, Ford’s Model e unit had pretax losses of $900 million. And in 2022, that number was $2.1 billion. Ford reportedly believes Model e will be profitable before taxes by late 2026, with an eight percent pretax profit margin.

An enduring mystery for three years is how Donald Trump came to be the president who shut down American society for what turned out to be a manageable respiratory virus, setting off an unspeakable crisis with waves of destructive fallout that continue to this day. Let’s review the timeline and offer some well-founded speculations about what happened. On March 9, 2020, Trump was still of the opinion that the virus could be handled by normal means.

Reports have surfaced that President Joe Biden is disappointed with Vice President Kamala Harris’ performance as his second-in-command, with comments from top officials within the Biden administration revealing some of the President’s candid views on Harris. According to the reports, the tension between Biden and Harris stems from a belief that she has not “risen to the occasion” and is failing to reduce his workload adequately. Some officials claimed that Harris is fearful of making mistakes, leading to her being late in joining important political battles, such as

Hollywood, specifically the film industry, is going through a legitimate, serious, and potentially fatal phase. No one likes the movies anymore. The key to a healthy industry—audience goodwill—is evaporating quickly. Sure, there have been some recent hits. Avatar: The Way of Water just became the second-highest worldwide grosser (not counting for inflation) in history. The last three or four Marvel movies have made money. But let’s not kid ourselves. Avatar 2, just like Avatar 1, has had no cultural impact whatsoever. I know of one person who saw it, and when asked his opinion, he replied with a shrug. My guess, and this is just a guess,

Epps was seen on camera inciting Trump supporters to go into the Capitol the night before the Jan. 6 protests. (snip) NBC News reports Epp’s lawyer Michael Teter sent a ease-and-desist notice to Tucker Carlson and Fox News general counsel Bernard Gugar demanding a retraction and apology from Carlson relating to Epps. In the notice, Teter wrote that the Fox News host “persists with his assault on the truth” by pushing “fanciful notions” regarding Epps’s involvement in the Capitol attack that were “demonstrably false.”

During an interview with Bloomberg on Thursday, John Kirby argued that Xi Jinping’s visit to Moscow to meet with Vladimir Putin is “a manifestation of how much China and Russia know that American leadership on the world stage is back” and that there is “a marriage of convenience, certainly not one of affection” between the two. Kirby said, “I think, first of all, calling this an alliance is a bit of a stretch. I refer to it as a marriage of convenience, certainly not one of affection. President Xi sees in President Putin a useful foil and a counterweight to American influence, particularly in Europe.

Oil companies have come under increasing legal scrutiny and face allegations of defrauding investors, racketeering, and a wave of other lawsuits. But a new paper argues there’s another way to hold big oil accountable for climate damage: trying companies for homicide. The striking and seemingly radical legal theory is laid out in a paper accepted for publication in the Harvard Environmental Law Review. In it, the authors argue fossil fuel companies “have not simply been lying to the public, they have been killing members of the public at an accelerating rate, and prosecutors should bring that crime to the public’s attention”.

Political correctness and woke virtues are like neatly-laid pavers, creating a path that can only lead to tragedy and death; news broke today that a young man named Kyle, who was obviously suffering tremendously from debilitating mental illness, has killed himself. But Kyle’s heartbreaking story has some rather concerning and extenuating circumstances: Kyle had abandoned his birth name and instead, was living as Kayleigh Scott…he was “transgender.” More than that though, Kyle was a poster child for the “trans” movement and corporate “inclusion” policies like DIE. In 2020 United Airlines celebrated “Kayleigh” in a woke public relations campaign video:
