President Joe Biden is expected to sign an executive order on Tuesday aiming to increase the number of background checks to buy guns, promote better and more secure firearms storage.. (snip) But Biden has been emboldened by the midterms after his regular talk of gun control didn’t result in massive losses, and he’s expected to continue to push for strong changes as he inches toward a 2024 run, his aides say.

Oh, please. Anyone legally purchasing a gun already has to go through a background check and the criminals who commit most of the murders buy their guns illegally and will continue to do so. This is bread and circuses to make the lefties think that he’s actually doing something other than napping and eating his ice cream. Note - I didn’t read the article as I refuse to give the AssPress any clicks. I’m just reacting to the lead paragraph.

FTA: Biden is also mandating better reporting of ballistics data from federal law enforcement for a clearinghouse that allows federal, state and local law enforcement to match shell casings to guns. A Northeast state operated a system like that for a few years. New guns were fired and the shell casings were filed in a warehouse. The $multi-million program was canceled because they ran out of storage, and zero crimes were solved due to a shell case match.

More background Checks. Yeah that will solve the problem. When was the last killing in Chicago when the killer passed a background check?

Let's go Brandon! For every stupid and useless EO that you sign relating to "gun control" I will buy another thousand rounds of ammo to put into my vaults. I will not be caught short-handed when this country falls apart and I do not care how many laws I must break to be prepared for the results of your insane reign of error that is destroying my beloved country. San Francisco residents lined up at a city board meeting last night to share their full-throated support of a wide-eyed reparations plan that would award every black resident $5million, wipe their personal debt, guarantee $97,000 incomes for 250 years and $1 homes. But no one at the emotional meeting - where residents burst into song and begged to be made 'whole' - asked how the struggling, debt-addled city might pay for it. After months of near-silence and innuendo, Florida Gov. and GOP presidential hopeful Ron DeSantis decided to speak about Ukraine, removing all doubt about his position. While his statement on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News show makes a handful of valid points, it is ridden with a fundamental misunderstanding of the war and US geopolitical interests. First, the good. DeSantis is correct to criticize the Biden administration’s lack of clear objectives in its support for “as long as it takes,” which is a recipe for a long and intractable conflict — which Americans would be right to reject.

Some electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers are scrapping the AM radio from their cars, claiming safety concerns. Although conservative talk radio dominates AM radio ratings, it is also considered a critical safety tool, as it is one of the primary ways that federal, state, and local officials communicate with the public during natural disasters and other emergencies. Automakers such as Ford and Tesla have ditched the AM radio from their newer EV models, arguing that the motors on EVs interfere with AM frequencies, creating buzzing and signal fading, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal.
