Republican Oklahoma Senator Markwayne Mullin let loose on Teamsters president Sean O'Brien during a heated Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee hearing on Wednesday as the two clashed over O'Brien's salary compared to that of his union members. The minutes long confrontation began with Mullin, who owns and operates a plumbing business, declaring he was "not against unions," but also pointing to the intimidation he said he and his employees received from unions when they started being awarded jobs that typically went to union workers. "They would show up at my house. They'd be leaning up against my trucks.

Sen. Mullin made some excellent points

I watched the exchange. It is clear that Mullin had a personal bone to pick, but his line of questioning and the points he made as a businessman were legitimate. The union cuck was arrogant and thuggish. He came off as the leach that he is, sucking money from the pockets of his union "brothers and sisters" to live large as a union rep.

Teamsters are the worst thugs in the business. When you represent the bottom ten percent of the work force, you are bound to pick up some dirty, lazy and outright criminal tactics, but it makes them the perfect democrat support group.

The teamsters are thugs. They went after my uncle’s business, threatened him and had him scared. The local sheriff suggested he buy and carry a firearm and gamble him his personal phone number just in case. That’s not legitimate business practice.

I was on a bus close to Beckley, WVA years ago during a strike. There were little children on that bus. A bomb was thrown under the bus blowing out several tires along with other damage. Union members are nothing but gang members, I wish them all a lifetime of misery.

I wish he could be one of my Senators but I live in the people's republic of Massachusetts - I don't like unions and have never been a "union" member and at the stage of life I am right now, never will be, have seen too much criminal behaviour in unions throughout my life and only compare unions to the Mafia ie: top down control and if you stray, it's cement overshoes and a swim in the nearest river, after you've had your brains blown out of your skull

Unions used to be necessary, but they have morphed into that which they railed against years ago. They are now the oppressors.

Mitch McConnell has fallen at a hotel in Washington and is currently in the hospital. Two questions immediately spring to mind, neither of which have answers at this point: is this the end of the dreary McConnell era of establishment Republican Me-Tooism? And is there some karmic relationship between Mitch’s fall and his throwing Tucker Carlson under the bus and affirming the Left’s bogus Jan. 6 “insurrection” narrative?

Seizing an opening in their long war against Fox News, mainstream news outlets are blasting out reports that some of the network’s leading stars appear to have knowingly lied about the 2020 election. In blanket coverage that echoes reporting on the invasion of Normandy, they are hammering Fox with one-sided court documents that suggest they deceived their audience by pretending Trump might have won when they knew he had lost. The charge that this episode proves Fox is not a legitimate news outlet is overkill, but if the emails and texts released so far are not just cherry-picked tidbits, the actions of some of its hosts were indefensible.

Former NFL quarterback Colin Kapernick accused his adoptive parents of "perpetuating racism" in an interview that aired Thursday. Kaepernick talked about coming to terms with his racial identity while growing up in a White family in his new graphic novel, "Change the Game." The former football player recalled disagreements with his parents that he attributed to racism, calling his upbringing "problematic." "I know my parents loved me. But there were still very problematic things that I went through," the biracial quarterback said to CBS News. "I think it was important to show that, no, this can happen in your own home, and how we move forward collectively while addressing the racism

For more than two years, while they controlled every lever of power in Washington, the Democratic Party and their media allies told a one-sided story about what happened at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. For more than two years, the surveillance footage from the 2021 Capitol riot, aired this week by Tucker Carlson, was kept from the American public by a Democratic Congress so a false narrative became cemented in the public consciousness. For more than two years, footage that could have exonerated Jan. 6 defendants was kept from their legal teams. People are in prison because of that cover-up.

Recently there were some remarkable online videos of a Portland, Oregon good Samaritan confronting shoplifters and forcing them to dump loads of their pilfered goods. More stunning, however, was the sheer outrage -- of the thieves! They pouted. They screamed. They resisted. How dare anyone stop them from stealing anything they wished. The criminals entertained no fear of any consequences for walking out with bags of things that were not theirs. They had no care that mainstreaming their habits would undermine the entire fabric of society.

Pick almost any poll over the past decade and you’ll find that voters always cite the economy as their top issue. Depending on the survey, the economy issue is also often more broadly defined in surveys as “jobs,” and, in the past couple of years, as “inflation.” But, however you look at the issue of the economy, we’re seeing a subtle change in how people process the constant flow of economic data that bombards them every day. They are becoming more educated and more sophisticated on federal fiscal issues and how they impact their own economic futures. More leery of politicians spouting data points that clash with the reality

For forty-five years (1964 to 2009), the United States experienced significant progress in race relations. Thanks to the efforts of individual citizens in their communities throughout all regions of the country, this nation was well on its way to racial healing. In return, the politicians vote to increase the pay of the union members.

President Joe Biden released his budget on Thursday, vowing to cut $3 trillion from the federal deficit over the next decade, in part, by levying a 25% minimum tax on the wealthiest Americans. Biden also raises more revenue by increasing taxes on oil and gas companies, hiking the corporate tax rate to 28%, up from 21% imposed under former President Donald Trump but below the 35% tax pre-2017, and allowing Medicare to negotiate drug prices. With Biden likely to run for re-election in 2024, his budget is also a preview into his platform as a candidate and campaign pitch in the year ahead.
