Tampa, Fla. — A number of bills, including legislation on college athletic compensation, immigration response, and expanded powers for the Florida Statewide Prosecutor’s Office are on their way to Gov. Ron DeSantis’ desk to sign following last week’s special session. The Florida Senate also approved a plan to have the state take over control of what’s currently the Reedy Creek Improvement District. The move has been seen as an effort to punish the company due to its criticism of Florida’s the Parental Rights in Education law, which restricts discussion of sexual orientation and gender identity in public schools.

The unidentified flying object shot down in Canadian airspace on Saturday appeared to be a "small, metallic balloon with a tethered payload below it," according to a Pentagon memo sent to lawmakers on Monday and obtained by CNN. The memo offers the first official details of one of the three objects shot down in recent days that was previously described as a "cylindrical object." The object crossed near "US sensitive sites" before it was shot down, the memo said. Defense officials also wrote in the memo to lawmakers that the object shot down over Lake Huron, in Michigan on Sunday, "subsequently slowly descended" into the water after impact.

Let’s start with the balloon whose story is the most clear, i.e. the Chinese spy balloon that flew over the US this month. That balloon was shot down over the ocean off the coast of South Carolina. You may have seen photos of portions of the balloon being pulled into a boat. These images were taken last week. Today the DOD released even more photos of the ongoing recovery effort. All of this material appears to be part of the skin of the balloon which was a couple hundred feet across. But the bigger news is that we’ve now recovered a major piece of the payload

That sparked an angry reaction from some bystanders, who stood behind yellow police tape at the intersection of Fifth and San Pedro streets. Ukrainian officials claim huge numbers of enemy troops have been killed, wounded and captured in failed attempts to seize the Donetsk hamlet of Vuhledar. They say that one marine brigade of 5,000 men was almost entirely destroyed, for the third time since the Kremlin launched the full-scale invasion nearly a year ago. It’s called “homeschooling.” Homeschooling used to be illegal. Children were required to attend organized schools even if they were physically assaulted, as I was, or were shaken down for their lunch money daily, as I was. (Other than the physical assaults and thievery and emotional torment and a few other things, I have very fond memories of public school.) Later, homeschooling became slightly more common but was still an offbeat thing. It was mainly something for oddball religious sects.

President Joe Biden’s (D) administration is reportedly allowing states to use Medicaid for food and nutritional counseling, according to the Wall Street Journal. The Journal reported Sunday that policy makers are trying to determine whether “food as medicine” programs can enhance health and also save money, the outlet said: A growing body of research suggests that addressing food insecurity can improve health as well as deliver savings by reducing medical visits, the need for medication, or by helping control serious illness. The programs have also appealed to some GOP lawmakers who believe states should have more control over their Medicaid programs.

The former President has blasted Rihanna for the 'worst halftime show in Super Bowl history' after she already insulted 'far more than half our nation' by spray painting 'f*** Donald Trump' on a car.  Rihanna, with her baby bump beaming out of her red ensemble, stormed the stage in Arizona before the Chiefs became Super Bowl champions on Sunday night.  She gave the millions of viewers a sultry performance - however her racy dancing and risqué lyrics were perhaps too much for some family-friendly fans. Donald Trump - who has butted heads with the Barbadian singer multiple times in the past - clearly was not impressed

Alright, maybe I was too quick to dismiss the possibility of aliens. The Pentagon gave a briefing on Sunday evening after yet another unidentified flying object was shot down, this time in US airspace over Lake Huron. Reports began to circulate that the object was an “octagon” and that it didn’t appear to be a balloon. That set off some speculation that the recent rash of UFOs were balloons, likely from China, but that they were simply shaped differently than one would expect. In a pretty shocking statement, though, Gen. Glen VanHerck made it clear that’s not the view of the US military. The UFOs not being balloons would be crazy enough,

James Bradberry’s first Super Bowl appearance will always be defined by a single call. It’s the one that directly correlated with the end of the Eagles’ special season, the one that soured a season-long redemption story of his own after the cornerback was released by the Giants and started over during the offseason.  Though some might label the fourth-quarter holding penalty a poor officiating call, Bradberry admitted he committed a penalty while defending Chiefs wideout JuJu Smith-Schuster in the closing minutes of Super Bowl 2023. “It was a holding,” Bradberry told reporters following Philadelphia’s 38-35 loss. “I tugged his jersey.

According to emails revealed under a FOIA request, the National Archives looked into even more locations than we have been told for Biden documents. The email communication exchange starting Nov. 7, 2022 (the day before the election) — between National Archives lawyer Gary Stern and Biden attorneys Bob Bauer and Patrick Moore — reveal that they were looking to recover documents. The email says they would like to “come back” to the DC Penn-Biden Center office to assess the remaining boxes. This was five days after Patrick Moore reportedly found classified documents in Joe Biden’s Penn Biden office. Look at how nice and sweet they are

Mayhem has broken out in the City of Brotherly Love following the Philadelphia Eagles' narrow Super Bowl loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Signs of unrest surfaced almost immediately after the team's 38-35 defeat Sunday night - with disgruntled fans already seen swarming City Hall and clashing with police that had been stationed throughout the city in case of such an outcome. Police scanner audio since 10:30pm suggests that cops have already made multiple arrests, as citizens have been seen scaling lampposts, chant 'f*** the Chiefs', and hurling glass bottles

Democrats and the corporate media have often accused former President Donald Trump of using a propaganda strategy called the “Big Lie” to convince Americans that the 2020 election was stolen. They remind us that Adolf Hitler coined the term in Mein Kampf and that his minister of propaganda, Joseph Goebbels, perfected the technique. Essentially, it involves relentlessly repeating a colossal lie until the public eventually comes to believe it. It is little wonder that the Democrats and the Fourth Estate are so familiar with this strategy — they employ it themselves every election cycle.
