Alright, maybe I was too quick to dismiss the possibility of aliens. The Pentagon gave a briefing on Sunday evening after yet another unidentified flying object was shot down, this time in US airspace over Lake Huron. Reports began to circulate that the object was an “octagon” and that it didn’t appear to be a balloon. That set off some speculation that the recent rash of UFOs were balloons, likely from China, but that they were simply shaped differently than one would expect. A hazardous chemical leak from a rollover crash involving a commercial tanker truck closed Interstate 10 in both directions in Tucson.
The crash happened at around 2:43 p.m. on I-10 near Kolb and Rita Roads on Tuesday. The freeway was closed as crews worked to mitigate the situation, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety. University of Arizona police later tweeted that anyone within a one mile of the crash should shelter in place and turn off any air-conditioning units that bring in outside air.

Houston – Houston businessman Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale, affectionately known as “Mattress Mack,” has filed a lawsuit over issues with the 2022 midterm elections in Harris County.
McIngvale made the announcement Tuesday alongside media consultant, Wayne Dolcefino. According to a news release, the lawsuit was filed as a way to “force transparency in our elections.” The lawsuit alleges the case is about providing the public with access to information to “ensure trust and confidence” in Harris County elections.
The lawsuit, which was filed against the Harris County Elections Administrator’s Office, alleges the office refused to turn over public records related to the November 2022 election in Harris County.

California Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein announced Tuesday that she will retire at the end of her term.

East Lansing, Mich. - The suspect in a shooting at Michigan State University that killed three people and wounded five others was found dead Monday night.
Police said he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The shelter-in-place advisory has been lifted.
In addition to the suspect, police confirmed that three were killed and five were wounded Monday night in the shooting.
Police said there are several crime scenes being processed by local and federal law enforcement officers. Residents and students in East Lansing were urged to shelter in place.
