Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) on Monday said that President Biden is neglecting domestic problems by making an international trip this week that included a surprise trip to Kyiv to show support for Ukraine in its war with Russia.
“We have a lot of problems accumulating here in our own country that he is neglecting,” DeSantis said in an appearance on Fox News after news of Biden’s surprise trip to visit with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Biden made the visit to the war-torn capital of Kyiv just days before the country’s war with Russia reaches its first anniversary.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) called out President Biden for his "blank-check policy" on Ukraine after the president traveled to Kyiv for an unannounced visit shortly before the one-year mark of Putin's assault.
DeSantis joined "Fox & Friends" Monday to discuss Biden's first visit to the war zone since the conflict started a year ago, and why the newly allocated half-billion dollars in Ukrainian aid is unacceptable without clearly defined goals.
"They have effectively a blank-check policy with no clear, strategic objective identified, and these things can escalate, and I don't think it's in our interests to be getting into a proxy war with China, getting involved

President Biden's surprise trip to Kyiv, Ukraine, is not expected to have any impact on the Russia-Ukraine war, according to an expert who believes Putin will keep up military pressure in the hopes of forcing Ukraine to negotiate for peace.
Biden arrived in Ukraine on Monday to unveil more U.S. assistance to Ukraine alongside President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. This marks Biden's first visit since Putin invaded the country almost one year ago.
Rebekah Koffler, president of Doctrine & Strategy Consulting, former DIA intelligence officer and author of "Putin’s Playbook: Russia’s Secret Plan to Defeat America," spoke to Fox News Digital in an exclusive interview to discuss what impact

The long-range missiles matter. So do the super-accurate artillery shells, the surface-to-air missiles, and the winter weather gear; the training in the English countryside or the muddy Grafenwöhr maneuver grounds; and the intelligence provided from the eyes in space and the ears on airplanes that circle outside the battlezone. President Biden’s visit to Kyiv matters just as much as any of these.
Other heads of government preceded him, earning deserved credit. But it is an altogether different thing when the president of the United States—who is, indeed, the leader of the Free World—shows up. His words mattered.

Americans woke up on Monday morning to the news of a surprise visit to Ukraine, by the President of the United States.
Press outlets swooned as Joe Biden was seen walking around the streets of Kyiv with Volodymyr Zelensky, the latter donning his signature olive drab. There were even air raid sirens blaring in the background to really make the scene pop. I’m sort of in the middle on Ukraine aid, believing that some investment in diminishing Russia’s military by proxy is a net positive (but I want less overall and a lot more accountability). What I’m affirmatively against, though, is being gaslit

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors could soon repeal all or parts of a law that prohibited city-funded travel and contracting with 30 conservative states that passed laws to restrict LGBTQ rights, abortion access and voting rights.
The 2016 ordinance, Chapter 12X, was initially passed in the wake of the Obergefell v. Hodges decision to include states that passed anti-LGBTQ legislation, but was amended twice in 2019 and 2021 to add additional states who passed restrictive abortion and voting rights legislation.
The move was largely seen as a boycott to pressure other states and prevent the city from engaging in business with those whose values

There are now new reports of a large white balloon spotted about 594 miles northeast of Honolulu, Hawaii.
The Oakland Oceanic Air Traffic Control was reporting sightings of the balloon, with multiple commercial pilots saying they’d seen it. Reports were that it was flying at an altitude of 40,000 to 50,000 feet.
Pilots were advised to report if they saw the object. It’s not clear whether it already breached American airspace. There are all kinds of military installations in Hawaii, so obviously that would be a big target for spying by China if that is what is going on here.
This would be spitting in the eye of Joe Biden

Austin police are investigating what they called “street racing incidents.” The incidents involved crowds taking over major intersections as drivers participated in “drifting” demonstrations. When police arrived, the crowd attacked the vehicles with fireworks, rocks, and other objects.
Multiple videos show the chaos that erupted in a major intersection in downtown Austin on Saturday night. Some of the videos show the crowds turning on police as they arrived to clear the streets. Police say people in the crowd threw rocks and fireworks at patrol vehicles damaging at least two. In one video, fireworks appear to be fired at one of the police cars.

Tesla and Twitter CEO Elon Musk ripped the Department of Defense on Sunday after it tweeted that “diversity is a strategic imperative.”
The DOD tweeted on Saturday, “Diversity is a strategic imperative critical to mission readiness and accomplishment. We were on site for the 2023 inaugural [Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion] Summit as DEIA experts led forums to advance the DEIA and DoD mission — because our people matter.” Musk responded, “Your strategic imperative is defending the United States.” The summit, according to an earlier tweet, took place February 15-17, and featured “distinguished presenters, renowned experts in government, higher education, business, science, and technology.”

The US ambassador to the United Nations said Sunday that China would cross a "red line" if the country decided to provide lethal military aid to Russia for its invasion of Ukraine.
"We welcome the Chinese announcement that they want peace because that's what we always want to pursue in situations like this. But we also have to be clear that if there are any thoughts and efforts by the Chinese and others to provide lethal support to the Russians in their brutal attack against Ukraine, that that is unacceptable," Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield told CNN's Pamela Brown on "State of the Union."
"That would be a red line," she said.

Mark Zuckerberg said this weekend that Meta is rolling out paid verification for Facebook and Instagram. On posts on each platform Sunday, the Meta CEO explained that the Meta Verified subscription service will have have a monthly fee of $11.99 on the web, or $14.99 per month on mobile.
The service is aimed primarily at content creators, who will get increased reach and visibility at a time when it’s harder to stand out on Meta’s platforms. Zuckerberg described Meta Verified as a “subscription service that lets you verify your account with a government ID, get a blue badge, get extra impersonation protection against accounts claiming to be you,

Munich — Cut through the haze of hoary proclamations emanating from the main stage of the Munich Security Conference about Western solidarity and common purpose this weekend, and one can’t help but notice more than a hint of foreboding just beneath the surface.
Even as Western leaders congratulate themselves for their generosity toward Ukraine, the country’s armed forces are running low on ammunition, equipment and even men. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who opened the conference from Kyiv on Friday, urged the free world to send more help — and fast. “We need speed,” he said.
