Per mile traveled, our British friends are now paying more to charge their electric cars than to gas them up. Do stories come any more feel-good than this? No, no, they do not:

They are trying to force us into electric cars so they can control our usage by conducting blackouts and using smart meters on people's homes.

But most of those who could afford a more-expensive EV probably don't care.

Some day, in the near future, we will look back and say "...how did we get here..."? In the USA we have more gas and oil than the Saudi's, we had the best gas prices in years, and then we let the climate crazies take over through a stolen election that is doing undo-able harm to our economy. The thing about Ron DeSantis here in Florida is his common sense approach and ability to express it. Be it DeSantis or Trump in 2024, we need to change course quickly.

A moron tax.
Good, being stupid should be painful and come at a cost. Maybe they won’t be as stupid in the future.

Here in rural Az I only know one person with an EV. He drive an old prius. He also is a pompous self-righteous jackass. It goes along with his $55,000 solar panel installation on his house. He loves to brag he doesnt pay any electric bill, but the installation cost of his solar panels never comes up in the conversation. I do love to see him up there on his roof hosing off the Az. dust from his panels every two weeks.

In the leftist 'utopia', the peasants aren't supposed to drive at all. Driving is only a 'privilege' for the 'elite'.

Sorry, but this is not a winning argument as most people will pay a bit more if they think there is a benefit to the environment. It's been proven again and again.
A Toyota Prius is a prime example, as it's roughly $10,000 more than the Corolla it's built on, which already gets great MPG.
People felt it was worth it and they felt good about helping to save the planet.
The issue with electric is they will have a better means of controlling who has access to the roads in the future.
They can turn off your electricity if they choose, and since the government will essentially own the transmission lines, they could control who can charge their vehicle.
Autonomous vehicles will be even worse since the government will own the roads, and make you pay to have access to them.

But of course! When any commodity is in demand, the price will rise. Imagine what electricity rates will be when ALL cars need it to operate. Soon, electric generation will be in short supply. It takes much energy to generate energy. Oil was plentiful but can't be used. An unprovable future bug-a-boo has us all skeered. Too bad we aren't angry instead.

Car manufacturers are moving away from EV as massive amounts of electric vehicles sit on lots waiting for customers. Many high end EVs have to be ordered before the manufacture even builds it. I believe you'll see less and less 'electric' cars in the next few years as more horror stories of fires, all might charge and the limit range makes the consumers say NO!

And all of this nonsense is predicated on the non-existent causative correlation of CO2 emissions to AGW.
Until the computer climate simulator models can history-match the last dozen ice ages, they aren't worth the harddrives they're written on, and they certainly are not able to predict climate change.

Add to prior posting:
Hint: the world has been warming for the last 20,000 years (since the end of the last ice age), so any observed effects in modern times (melting glaciers, thawing tundra, etc) are simply continuations of that same natural warming trend...probably caused by Milankovitch cycles, just like the last two dozen ice ages.
So will someone, anyone, please tell me why electric cars will accomplish anything truly beneficial? (except for enriching Elon Musk?)

LOL! Super expensive, very short range, extremely slow to recharge....AND more expensive to "refill" than gasoline cars.
No sympathy at all, suckers.
