‘Karma is a b***h’: Teen who got slap

In a shocking development that once again puts Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascon in the hot seat, the troubled teenager — who, in 2022, after stealing a car and plowing it into a mother and her baby on a Venice, Calif., street, received a light sentence in a juvenile probation camp — was murdered this week, the victim of gun violence. Kristopher Baca, who had not been previously identified due to his age, was shot to death and found by deputies in a Palmdale, Calif., driveway. Det. Ray Lugo of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said that Baca, 17, was walking to his grandmother’s home,

The article states that the ne'er-do-well yute (Baca) was a victim of "gun violence," so apparently a gun picked itself up and fired a fatal shot of which he was the unfortunate recipient. Happens all the time. Bloomberg swears it's true. The gun's fault. Ergo, punish the gun! More likely, this fellow, who cared not a whit for anyone else's life, was a gang member. Anyone who runs with criminal gangs has a very short life expectancy, especially those who receive essentially no punishment for shocking crimes. Was he targeted for running a stolen car into a mother and infant? At this point, what difference does it make? He won't cause any more trouble.

Very possibly his death wasn't related to the attempted murder of the mother and infant. The kind of evil, violent pukes who would do that are likely to do other violent thibgs, and some folks just don't want to be victims. Making the world a better place, one violent felon at a time. Great news.

The First Amendment is the bedrock of American liberty. Our citizens have the right, if not civic duty, to engage in open, dynamic discourse, and no government has the right to limit, suppress, censor or otherwise control it. Yet as we dig deeper into discovery in our Big Tech censorship case — Missouri and Louisiana v. Biden — we uncover ever-more truly appalling abuses of power that President Joe Biden’s director of digital strategy, Rob Flaherty, admitted come from “the highest (and I mean highest) levels of the” White House.
Reducing the Deficits of the Federal Government 0 replies

It has again become openly fashionable to rhetorically complain about excessive government spending. One can wax eloquent about the fundamental insincerity of the complaint, but this misses a rather elemental and important point: it is possible to reduce the ongoing deficits of the Federal government. The simple mechanism for doing so is tax cuts.  I have written about this previously, illustrating that every tax cut ever enacted since John F. Kennedy has increased revenue to the Federal government. Now it must be said and almost always is pointed out among critics that in the first year of collection, revenues go down. But what is absolutely clear

A 67-year-old veteran farm worker has killed seven fellow Chinese agricultural laborers in what local news described as a workplace dispute.   Zhao Chunli, who lived in Half Moon Bay, was arrested and is 'fully cooperating' with law enforcement, officials said. The shootings took place at two separate locations in Half Moon Bay, with four shot at a farm run by Concord Farms, and three at Mountain Mushroom Farms two miles away. Officials are unsure which was attacked first. Children were present on the scene at the time, because some of the workers lived on-site with their families.

President Joe Biden’s personal attorneys reportedly misled the Department of Justice (DOJ) in November about classified documents being stored at his Wilmington residence. Shortly after documents at the Penn Biden Center were unearthed on November 2, the White House and DOJ reportedly agreed to hide the scandal from the American people. It’s unclear why Biden’s personal attorneys were initially searching for his illegally stashed documents. The White House has failed to provide the initial reason or cause for the search. After the initial discovery on November 2, Biden’s personal attorneys told the DOJ that the only location where troves of classified were stored was at the Penn Biden Center,

Dozens of House Democrats have proposed legislation that would eliminate the debt ceiling, which would allow the government to borrow without any limit set by Congress. But Democrats accuse Republicans of setting up the possibility of prohibiting a debt ceiling hike, which would make the government unable to fund all of its current obligations. Democrats say a better idea is to eliminate all limits on federal borrowing and allow
