It looks like the Justice Department might have just thrown Joe Biden and the White House under the bus big time.
Fox’s Harris Faulkner was speaking about the matter on the “Faulkner Focus” on Thursday. She ran video of an interview with former federal prosecutor Brett Tolman, who said a “crime had occurred” and there was no requirement that there be any “intent” to do anything bad with the documents. Faulkner noted that the White House has continued to dodge questions about the scandal. I wrote on Wednesday about how White House Karine Jean-Pierre was refusing to answer reporters’ questions, punting and saying they can’t comment on an “ongoing investigation,”

Just days before Donald Trump hosts his first 2024 event in South Carolina, a state whose evangelical population has long played a critical role in its presidential primary, the former president is lashing out at religious conservatives who have declined to endorse his third presidential campaign.
Trump's comments to conservative journalist David Brody in a podcast interview Monday, in which he decried the "disloyalty" of evangelical leaders who have withheld public support for his campaign, were the latest in a series of bewildering remarks he's made about one of the most critical voting blocs in a Republican primary.
"Nobody has ever done more for Right to Life than Donald Trump. I put

Singer-songwriter-guitarist David Crosby, a founding member of two popular and enormously influential ’60s rock units, the Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash (later Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young), has died, his representative says. He was 81 years old. A cause of death has not been revealed.
The death came as a surprise to those who followed his very active Twitter account, which he’d kept tweeting on as recently as Wednesday. One of Crosby’s final tweets the day before he died was to make a typically jocular comment about heaven: “I heard the place is overrated… cloudy.” Former CSNY partner Graham Nash, who had been estranged from Crosby in recent years

U.S. wireless carrier T-Mobile said on Thursday it was investigating a data breach that potentially affected 37 million accounts.
The company said it identified malicious activity on Jan. 5 and contained it within a day, adding that no sensitive data such as financial information was compromised. However, some basic customer information was obtained, such as name, billing address, email and phone number, T-Mobile said.
"Our investigation is still ongoing, but the malicious activity appears to be fully contained at this time, and there is currently no evidence that the bad actor was able to breach

Who leaked the Supreme Court’s draft decision on Dobbs, the case that overturned Roe? It’s been the biggest political whodunit in years, with scores of potential perps. We have waited since early May to discover the identity of the thief and the true motive for leaking it out.
Chief Justice John Roberts promised a thorough investigation to get to the bottom of the crime. What did he find out? Well … it was an inside job — which everyone pretty much assumed from the start.
And that’s pretty much it. The court threw its hands in the air just a few minutes ago, apparently for good:
The Supreme Court announced

The FBI is offering a $25,000 reward to sources who can provide information about the suspects responsible for a spate of attacks on pro-life pregnancy resource centers.
The bureau said in a news release it can investigate the crimes as potential acts of domestic violent extremism, Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act (FACE Act) violations, or violent crime matters, depending on the facts of each case.
“Today’s announcement reflects the FBI’s commitment to vigorously pursue investigations into crimes against pregnancy resource centers, faith-based organizations, and reproductive health clinics across the country,” FBI director Christopher Wray said in a statement.

To say that things are going badly at the network that created cable news is more than an understatement. It is approaching the point where hyperbole about how poorly CNN has been doing might be insufficient. Under the new ownership after the Warners-Discover merger, things have become dire. Many personalities have been dispatched (pour out some mango White Claw for Brian Stelter and Chris Cillizza…okay, pour it all out), shows and talent have been shuffled around, and they rapidly pulled the plug on the expensive debacle that was CNN+. As a sign of the tumult, it was announced last week that the network staff remaining in the CNN Center

A Georgia State Patrol trooper was shot today as police moved in to an area where protesters previously identified as domestic terrorists have been camping to prevent the construction of a new police training center. The individual who initiated the attack was shot and killed by police. (The image above is from a recent profile of this group but the identity of the shooter is still unknown).
Law enforcement officers helping conduct a “clearing operation” at the site of Atlanta’s planned public safety training center exchanged gunfire with a protester Wednesday morning, leaving the protester dead and a state trooper wounded, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Gov. Ron DeSantis says he's seeking to protect Florida from the "biomedical security state," by permanently banning COVID-19 vaccines and masks. "It required us over the past few years to stand against major institutions in our society: The bureaucracy, the medical establishment, legacy media and even the President of the United States who, together, were working to impose a biomedical security state on society." DeSantis said while speaking at the Todd Herendeen Theater in Panama City Beach.
If approved by lawmakers, DeSantis' efforts will permanently restrict the COVID-19 vaccine mandates and mask rules in schools and prevents public and private employers from hiring and firing

Representative Greg Steube (R., Fla.) was injured in an accident on Wednesday, according to a statement posted from the congressman’s Twitter account.
“Congressman Steube was involved in an accident on his property late this afternoon and has sustained several injuries,” the statement read. “We will provide additional updates when possible. Please pray for the Congressman and his family.” Steube, 44, was sworn in earlier this month to serve his third term in the House representing Florida’s 17th congressional district. He has served on the House Judiciary and House Foreign Affairs Committees.

A JetBlue plane headed to Puerto Rico clipped another aircraft, which was empty, at JFK Airport Wednesday, building on the chaos that nearly ensued days earlier at the same airport.
“JetBlue Flight 1603 struck the tail of a parked JetBlue aircraft while pushing back from the gate around 7 a.m. at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York,” the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said in a statement. “The flight was going to Luis Muñoz Marin International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Both aircraft were Airbus 320. No injuries were reported, and the FAA will investigate,” the agency added. JetBlue spokesman Derek Dombrowski confirmed

Is there a Democrat civil war brewing over the presidency?
One is tempted to think so, given how many damaging stories are suddenly showing up in the news just after it dropped that Joe Biden was preparing to announce his reelection bid.
While the classified documents story is still heating up, CNN suddenly discovered that the Biden family is filled with corrupt influence peddlers.
Who knew? There were no indications. Not a hint of anything like that. Joe gave us his “word as a Biden” that everything was on the up and up, and the media up until now scoffed at the idea that anything could be wrong. Indeed, Chuck Todd just insulted
