Rep. James Clyburn of South Carolina, a kingmaker in Democratic Party politics, vigorously endorsed President Biden for re-election on Wednesday and warned members of his party against challenging the sitting president. "I'm all-in for President Biden," Clyburn told CBS' Robert Costa in an interview. "I think he's demonstrated, in these two years … that he is deserving of re-election. And I do believe he will be re-elected irrespective of who the Republicans, they put up." Clyburn is the assistant Democratic leader in the House and a well-respected and influential ally of the White House. His endorsement of Biden in 2020 is widely credited with delivering South Carolina

People, from Clyburn down to the lowliest snarkist in his basement, are allowed to say anything these days and not be called on it. Clyburn can't be that stupid, so I assume that his saying Biden deserves re-election is political. Clyburn gets some political benefit for voicing support of Biden..... personal benefit for Clyburn and maybe secondarily for his congressional district.

#6 nails it. This is all about Clyburn, not the demented buffoon in the Oval Office who doesn't know what day of the week it is. If not for Clyburn, the imbecile-in-chief would not have received the nomination and wouldn't be CIC. That gives Clyburn tremendous sway with the current administration. If a challenger who doesn't need Clyburn comes along and wins the nomination, Clyburn loses all that influence. That's what this is about. Then again, if he can sell his 'people' on a low IQ corrupt serial liar like Biden, I suppose he can sell them on anyone.

"And I do believe he will be re-elected irrespective of who the Republicans, they put up." He's right, you know. Elections are no longer a contest between candidates to see who can garner the most votes. Elections are merely part of the approved rituals that our memetic society requires. The candidate chosen by the powers that be will "win," in the sense that he or she will be installed in whatever position was "vacant." Democrats, being the more unscrupulous of the two major political parties, have no compunctions against manufacturing "votes," so they will prevail unless the republicans are able to put aside such moral scruples that may remain and cheat as hard as the democrats. Of course, whether the candidate put up by the republicans is any better than the one foisted upon us by the democrats remains in dispute.

“Revenge of the Princes” is the hot new show drawing wide audiences on both sides of the Atlantic. Combining the classic Shakespearean themes of regicide and patricide with our contemporary idolatry of narcissism and victimhood, “Revenge” is not unfolding on Broadway or the West End; a real-life adaptation is being livestreamed into our homes as two separate but entwined psychodramas. While the tickets are free, the cost may be more than anyone can imagine. The English version stars a man named Harry; the American edition, a man named Hunter.

We’ve made it to 2023, nearly three years since the pandemic hit the United States in full force. The virus is less deadly, we have effective vaccines and life is pretty much back to normal for most of us. If you’re President Joe Biden, however, the COVID-19 “emergency” is still front and center. Don’t get me wrong. I don’t think Biden actually believes we are still in a state of emergency. He admitted as much in September when he declared the pandemic was “over.” Yet the president and his administration have enjoyed the extra powers that have accompanied the national emergency declaration. As President Biden plans to launch his reelection campaign, he is whistling past a graveyard of recently discarded Democratic Party icons, who have either left the scene willingly or are being gracelessly kicked out. Nancy Pelosi. Steny Hoyer. Pat Leahy. Jim Clyburn. Anthony Fauci. Dianne Feinstein. Their combined age is 500 — and until a few months ago, they were running the country. Now they’re shadows of their former selves, headed to the greener pastures of retirement, book deals or the backbenches of the House of Representatives. Over the past few months, the Democratic Party’s leadership has transitioned from the Silent Generation to a mixture of baby boomers and Gen Xers.

The U.S. Secret Service is prepared to offer names of individuals who visited President Biden's Wilmington, Delaware, home if requested by Congress, Fox News has learned. The White House continues to insist that there exists no formal visitor log for the personal residence where two troves of classified documents were found. While the White House has not kept a formal list, the Secret Service does collect information on guests with regular access to the home. Retention of the names of those vetted by the Secret Service depends on a variety of factors, including proximity to the president and the nature of the background check.

Black voters are getting tired of politics as usual. We need real solutions to pressing problems like income inequality and violent crime, not meaningless posturing and policies designed solely to assuage white guilt. In the 2018 midterm elections, Republicans received just 8 percent of the Black vote, consistent with historical patterns and identical to President Trump's share of the Black vote in both 2016 and 2020. In 2022, however, 14 percent of Black voters cast their ballots for Republican candidates—a 75 percent shift in just two years.

In contrast, King was all about constructive action directed at racial and social healing through truth, love, and peaceful nonviolent debate and protest.

The discovery of a fourth set of classified documents, at the Biden residence in Delaware, has further undermined the White House’s virtual mantra that the president “takes classified documents very seriously.” Putting aside the repeated movement of highly classified documents over six years, one curious element has emerged in this scandal: the use of private counsel. Not only did President Joe Biden enlist lawyers to clear out his private Washington office; he then used them — rather than security officers or the FBI — to search for additional classified documents. The initial use of lawyers is notable.
