Police in a Tennessee city showed the true holiday spirit as well as outstanding service to their community when they pitched in to replace a child’s gifts after a human Grinch stole them and then set the family’s Christmas tree ablaze.
Earlier this week, the Dyersburg Police Department said on Facebook that they had arrested a man after they responded to a call at a local apartment complex where the suspect was observed purloining the presents by an observant neighbor, also torching the tree in an act that reportedly stemmed from an “altercation” between the perp and the victim that took place prior to the incident.

Incoming House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan and Ranking Member of the Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights and Civil Liberties Mike Johnson have announced the official launch of an investigation into FBI censorship revealed in the "Twitter files."
"We are investigating politicization and abuses at the Federal Bureau of Investigation, as well as Big Tech's censorship of conservatives online. Newly released information shows the FBI has coordinated extensively with Twitter to censor or otherwise affect content on Twitter's platform. These documents show that the FBI maintained this relationship with Twitter apart from any particularized need for a specific investigation, but as a permanent and ongoing surveillance operation.

Once again, Americans rank Christmas as their favorite holiday, and half of U.S. adults plan to attend religious services this season, a Rasmussen Reports poll found.
Sixty percent of 1,100 American adults polled between Dec. 19-21 say Christmas is one of our nation’s most important holidays, up from 59 percent in 2021. The margin of sampling error is ±3 percentage points with a 95 percent level of confidence.
“Christmas has consistently been rated the most important holiday by Americans, usually followed by the Fourth of July and Thanksgiving. This year, however, Veterans Day jumped into second place,” the poll report states.

Most believe Americans have forgotten the “real meaning” of Christmas, a recent Ipsos poll released ahead of the holiday found.
Three-quarters at least somewhat agree that Americans have forgotten the “real meaning” of Christmas, and of those, 42 percent “strongly” agree.
Even more Christians, 84 percent, agree that Americans have lost the true meaning of Christmas, and most Republicans and Democrats, 88 percent and 66 percent, respectively, agree as well.
Further, even non-religious Americans agree that Americans have forgotten the real meaning of Christmas.
Notably, the survey did not ask respondents to identify what they consider the “true meaning” of Christmas to be.

Democrat Senator Chris Coons (DE) on Friday admitted he doesn’t even know what’s in the $1,7 trillion Omnibus spending bill.
The $1.7 trillion Pelosi-Schumer spending bill passed the senate this week 68-29.
The bill is more than 4,000 pages.
Both chambers of Congress rammed the bill through without reading any of it or debating. There is zero funding for the border wall but Ukraine gets another $45 billion.
“Well, Joe, I voted for the omnibus and I’m proud to support it, but I don’t like the process. A bipartisan group of senators on the floor of the Senate were talking about how we can change this process going forward because frankly,

Dean Cain created quite a furor by stating a simple truth this week.
He responded to a video that two people posted acting like girls, when in fact they were men.(Tweets) The original video was deleted, but you get the idea from the screenshot.
Cain was then inundated by folks on the left who claimed he was being “hateful.” But he didn’t back down; Cain said his comment wasn’t “hateful,” but only stating the obvious — that the men were not girls.

Sam Bankman-Fried, the man at the center of the FTX scandal, is back on US soil after having been extradited from the Bahamas to face federal charges. Naturally, because our justice system is about as coherent as a two-year-old quoting Shakespeare, the notorious fraudster was immediately granted bail and is now spending the holidays with his family. The American oligarchy is alive and well. But I digress, there’s a lot more to the FTX scandal than just Bankman-Fried’s fate, and one of the more interesting aspects of the entire ordeal is just how close many Democrats were to him. In fact, according to Politico, a Democrat operative and close advisor

New York City slickers are getting rattled.
The 311 hotline saw a 69% s-s-s-urge this year in complaints against snakes and their slippery owners, with 22 cases, up from 13 in 2021.
Seven of the “coils” were logged in Manhattan and the Bronx each, followed by six in Brooklyn and one apiece in Queens and Staten Island, the data show. None of the Gotham gripes involved snakes on a train.
In the Bronx, a vexing viper was said to have slithered into a residence on Park Avenue and East 172nd Street in Claremont

Four people were killed in a 46-car pileup on the Ohio turnpike Friday afternoon due to the winter storm that has swept the nation.
The initial crash occurred at around 11:45 a.m. on Interstate 80 eastbound between Route 53 and State Route 4 in Sandusky County near the Eire County line, according to officials via WTVG. At around 12:30 p.m., other vehicles started crashing and forming a major pileup. (Tweet/Photos) Authorities confirmed that the weather was a factor that caused the pileup. The crash is still under investigation.

I have many pagan, atheist, or agnostic friends who bypass Christmas, dismissing it as a commercial and religious quagmire in which they would rather not partake. But when December 21 (or whichever date is designated as the precise time) rolls around, they are big on the Winter Solstice wishes, rituals, and festivals.
The Winter Solstice, also known as “Yule,” is a celebration of the sun, renewal, rebirth, and the continuation of life. It is the shortest day and the longest night of the year. Yule has been considered the “Festival of Light,” or “The Festival of the Sun,” as it celebrates the return of the sun

Let me suggest you read Oliver Cromwell’s speech to the rump Parliament of April 20, 1653. I can’t reproduce all of it in this article, but here are a few choice selections:
“Ye are a factious crew, and enemies of all good government…Is there a single virtue now remaining amongst you? Is there not one vice you do not possess?...Ye have no more religion than my horse. Gold is your God…Ye are grown intolerably odious to the whole nation. You [who] were deputed here by the people to get grievances redressed are yourselves become the greatest grievance…Go, get you out! Make haste! Ye venal slaves, be gone!...

The NORAD Santa Tracker has been activated as the jolly old elf soars over rooftops and chimneys in the eastern hemisphere, where Christmas Eve is already in full swing. The North American Aerospace Defense Command’s high-tech monitoring tool has added a modern tradition to countless households, as families show the young ‘uns exactly where Saint Nick and his team of reindeer are flying. And it also times out perfectly (at least where we live) for parents to be able to hasten the children to bed.
All the adult needs to do is point to the screen and say, “Uh oh, Santa’s already in Florida! He’ll be here soon!

I don’t know exactly when I became a fan of Charlie Brown and the “Peanuts” characters, but I can remember them being a huge part of my elementary school years, along with a group of friends who loved the comic strip. One thing I do know: A Charlie Brown Christmas has always been a part of my holiday celebrations, including this Christmas.
Every year growing up, we would watch A Charlie Brown Christmas when it came on television. It was always on CBS, and Peter Paul candies sponsored it — I still remember the York Peppermint Patty and “Sometimes you feel like a nut” commercials.

In a massive series of tweets, Taibbi insisted that the FBI was simply the "doorman to a vast program of social media surveillance and censorship, encompassing agencies across the federal government – from the State Department to the Pentagon to the CIA."
The journalist explained that Twitter had so many interactions with OGAs (or "other government agencies" as they are called in the tweets), the company couldn’t keep them all straight: He explained, "Twitter had so much contact with so

Scientists generally agree that the universe – defined as everything in existence – has not always existed. It came into existence with a bang about 13 billion years ago. This bang was a big one, so they named it the “Big Bang.”
Before the Big Bang, there was no space, no energy and no time – not even empty space, zero energy or stopped time. There was nothing.
And then everything was created out of this nothing. We call this everything “creation.” It’s the tangible universe around us, seen and unseen. It’s the energy, the matter, and the progression of time.

The terror group Al-Qaida has released a video which they claim is narrated by leader Ayman al-Zawahiri - believed to have been killed in a US raid earlier this year.
The recording was undated while the transcript did not clearly point towards a time frame for when the footage could have been created.
Zawahiri is thought to have been killed aged 71 in a US strike in Afghanistan during the biggest blow to the militant group since its founder Osama bin Laden was killed in 2011. Zawahiri was previously hiding for years, and the process of locating and killing him was the result of 'careful, patient and persistent' work

In the dark hours of June 13, 1942, a German U-boat surfaced off the coast of Long Island.
Four saboteurs, under the leadership of one George Dasch, buried explosives beneath the sands of Amagansett as part of an elaborate plan to blow up Astoria’s Hell Gate Bridge, along with chemical plants being used in the American war effort. On first inspection, Peru and China, 11,000 miles apart, appear to have very little in common. However, the two countries share a very close history.
As the academic Justina Hwang has noted, in the space of 25 years, between 1849 and 1874, more than 100,000 unskilled workers, many of them from China, arrived in Peru. Having recently abolished slavery, Peru was amid a worker shortage. This allowed “the importation of an indentured workforce of Chinese laborers in order to meet Peruvian need for labor,” (snip)
(snip) Peru is home to around 60,000 Chinese people. Some researchers suggest that the Chinese community is much higher, possibly exceeding 1 million.

President Joe Biden’s administration reportedly failed to send National Guard troops their final paycheck of the year during the week of Christmas, according to a letter sent to troops obtained by The Post Millennial.
The National Guard troops’ paychecks were disrupted due to congressional drama surrounding the $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill that Congress recently approved. After weeks of negotiation, Congress came to a deal on the omnibus spending package. Included in the spending bill is, among other things, a $45 billion aid package for Ukraine. The $45 billion is on top of the $66 billion taxpayer dollars that have already been used to fund Ukrainian aid.

It has long been contended that environmental, social, and corporate governance scores (ESG) are the Left’s attempt to weaponize every non-leftist’s money against his personal beliefs and economic interests. This is patently true . . . to an extent.
Infiltrating and extorting the corporate and financial elite, the ESG zealots pressure and capture the levers of large economic investment institutions to implement the Left’s agenda. For investors who oppose their money being used to further left-wing causes at the expense of maximizing their returns, there is little they can do to “take their money elsewhere.”

The first couple, sporting cloth masks, met with pediatric patients, their families and hospital staff, greeting leadership and emergency department workers. Former President Donald Trump exclusively shared with Breitbart News his latest campaign video, in which he blasts Democrats for releasing his personal tax returns and calls on the incoming Republican-led House of Representatives to obtain and release President Joe Biden’s financial records.
On Tuesday, the Democrat-led House Means and Ways Committee voted along party lines to release Trump’s tax returns. Within hours, it published data from Trump’s 2015-2020 returns. The Committee obtained the documents through an appeals court ruling that ordered Trump to turn them over following a years-long legal battle.

Vice President Kamala Harris lashed out at the media in an end-of-year interview claiming they have failed to cover her strengths during her tenure.
Harris, speaking with Washington Post columnist Jonathan Capehart who lavished praise on the VP, said that 'what you've been able to see is based on what gets covered.'
She referenced the coverage of the Dobbs decision overturning Roe vs. Wade and how much coverage she received for speaking out against the decision: 'There are things that I've done as vice president that fully demonstrate the strength of my leadership as vice president that have not received the kind of coverage
