I’m not going to write extensively about this because I respect your intellectual ability to see the obvious. Questions have been raised about why the Twitter File releases appear to have been structured in a fashion to protect government interests.
Well, the new Bari Weiss website that was set up to launch as an exclusive outcome of the Twitter File release, includes a current contributor and former 2020 control officer of the DOJ who would have facilitated the DHS/FBI contact with social media; the stuff that is transparently missing from the Twitter File releases.Yes, former AG Bill Barr is a content partner with Twitter File narrative engineer Bari Weiss.

I can't understand this publication's obsession with Ron DeSantis. Obviously there are many people who support what Trump accomplished during his presidency who also support what DeSantis is accomplishing in Florida. That some of these same people now believe that DeSantis would be a better candidate in 2024 is hardly a sign that they have moved to the dark side. One can condemn Bill Barr for his passivity after the 2020 election and deplore his constant denigration of Trump. It's ridiculous to criticize him for preferring DeSantis over Trump for the 2024 election. The author veers into paranoia as he fingers Musk and Bari Weiss as conspirators to upend the Trump campaign while simultaneously exposing Twitter's war against Donald Trump.

Desantis is a good Republican governor, and that is it. This country needs a leader who is experienced, tried, tested, proven, and capable to deal with politically, economically, and socially messed up world. And you have nobody else but, .....Trump!

Given what a backstabbing swamp snake Barr has been exposed as, anything he endorses needs to be examined very VERY closely.

I’ve been coming here and reading th comments for around fifteen years or so and have encountered many different, interesting, and thought provoking opinions on these threads. I’m very grateful to this forum for this. In fact I look forward to reading them from over a dozen of you. But I’ve never encountered what one would term a "Kool-Aid drinker" here.
Hmmm….

Anything Bill Barr is associated with CANNOT be trusted! He is one seriously compromised America-hating POS! Want proof? Look at exactly what he did... appoint a seemingly tough investigator to look into corruption in the government, thus giving hope to millions that America might be vindicated and survive the onslaught of Marxism and Etatism. That exercise proved to only be a side show designed to console and deflect what was really happening... Durham was TREASONOUS Political Theater designed and Orchestrated by Bill Barr!

Now who’s drinking the GOPe Kool-aid? Bill Barr spent his entire time as Trump’s AG, doing nothing to rein in the agencies under his control that were going gangbusters after Trump. In fact, his silence was consent. However, they were geared up for his destruction before he even won the election. They just kicked it into high gear after he won because they were determined to stop his America First agenda. So we have Bill Barr now coming out to along with Bari Weiss and Elon Musk to support Ron DeSantis. Isn’t that an interesting turn of events? Barr, a proven snake in the grass deep state operative comes out for Ron and we are to get behind the Governor no questions asked. I guess the thinking is anyone but Trump although he is the guy who actually got things done for the American people like no American President in modern history has done. You cannot dispute his accomplishments so the only strategy they have is to attack his character. Have any of you self-righteous snobs bothered to cast your gaze on anyone in the democrat party or even the “America Last but Them First” Rinos?
The problem as I see it, is that some Republicans are more concerned with uncomfortable rhetoric than they are with actual achievement. While we are in the midst of the most lawless and corrupt government in our history, is the most important thing a candidate’s ability to be loved and admired by everyone? Consider the rhetoric of democrats. They are profane and advocate violence against any opposition yet our side is excoriated for saying mean things that hurt people’s feelings. Not only is their rhetoric dangerous, they follow through with actions. Never forget what they are doing to the J6 political prisons, yet, Donald Trump is the guy unqualified to serve in the role of President because he speaks his mind and calls out people who need to be held accountable. Oh, the horror!
Let’s get some perspective, people! Do you want eloquence or action? Do you want proven success or promised success? Do you want an America First agenda or a Chamber of Commerce, Business Roundtable status quo? Caving in the face of the lies, omissions and obfuscations of the left is exactly what the democrat strategy is built upon. That is why they constantly attack Trump. They want to wear you down with their negative rhetoric. Trump may stir up their base but he puts real fear into them because they know if he is re-elected (for the third time, just for the record) he will put this country first and crush their globalist agenda. So, let’s be careful of jumping onto a bandwagon that is pretty much unknown and untested on the national stage because democrats will rain down fire or any candidate. It is the way they work. They are dirty, relentless and determined. We have to have an America First warrior and personally, I prefer a battle tested General who has fought and won.

Flaming liberals like Musk and Weis now see a world that looks like the natural conclusion to the policies they've embraced their whole lives. And they don't like it.
Bc they are shallow liberals, not fathomless idiots, which are the woke base controlling their party now.
So they are "red pilled" but not conservative. We are caucusing with them but we are not agreeing on much outside of rejecting open insanity.
I'm glad to have their competent help as fact miners, but I feel no obligation to put President Trump aside at their urging. Barr is a complete and total snake covering his own fat @rse for closing his eyes while the election puck slipped right between is legs in triple overtime. Is he gonna expose the corrupt FBI he was responsible for overseeing? I'll believe William Barr when he calls out Obama for instigating a coup against a POTUS elect, since that fact was documented during Barr's term as AG.
1. Weis and Barr's collaboration hurts her cred.
2. Unless ha has a plan to stop rigged elections in swing states. There is NOTHING Ron DeSantis can do to help our country in election 2024.
This is the reality.

Re #3 - the issue is transparency. Release all the Twitter texts, etc without picking through them. And full disclosure would be nice from Ms. Weiss, et al., about who they are associating themselves with in this process. Unlike DeSantis, Musk and others, Donald Trump and his family have been investigated ad nauseum. I would love to see someone like Bill Barr or Ms. Weiss or Elon or Desantis(and family) go through the scrutiny/obsessive investigations that Donald Trump has endured. And yet they still come up with nothing and spare me his former CFO and the tax evasions nothing burger.

There is some logic to the old argument that one reason Donald Trump won in 2016 is because many voters were not so much pro-Trump as they were anti-Hillary. That said, Donald Trump was an effective--if rough-edged--POTUS, even despite: (a) the endless and unjustified attacks against him, especially that "Russia collusion" carp; and (b) despite so many of his own appointees disloyally turning against him. (He burnt through four White House chiefs of staff in four years.) Either: (i) Donald Trump made many unforced errors in his appointments to his Cabinet and other significant positions; or (ii) he is so difficult to deal with that many of those close to him gave up on him. Or maybe both of the above.
If he is on the ballot in 2024, I'll vote for the Donald in a heartbeat. At this point however, I worry whether he can win. Many folks--not just progressives--now see him as toxic. Is that justified? Of course not. It's a creation of the evil Washington swamp and the fictional media narrative. But it's an obstacle, nonetheless.

#13 Rinktum Thank you. I agree. I've spoken about that before too. You'll remember also during the 2022 primary DeSantis was supporting an anti-Trumper running for Senate in Colorado (also supported by GW Bush)? His money people were also dissing DJT. Why would he do that? And then you have Bill "dirty" Barr in the equation with Bari Weiss, so we can say, "Something's rotten in Denmark."
Think about that! Bill Barr was the DOJ's Attorney General in 2020 when all of the Big Tech and the intelligence agencies (FBI, CIA, DHS, and others) were colluding to destroy President Trump and his re-election. And Barr didn't know about it? And if you believe that, I have some bridge to sell you. The MAGA supporters want President Trump in 2024 and DeSantis later if he proves to be MAGA.

having bill barr on any kind of public forum is like having diapers advocating for opening the oil and gas industry with no restrictions on finding as much oil and gas in the USofA as possible, barr is a Trump denier and isn't worthy of having a forum on any subject

After all the investigations during Barrs term , no one was held accountable. That alone tells you Barr was fully aware that they were trying to force Trump out and approved it. Why? And as far as DeSantis , follow the money to see who he will be beholden to. They couldn’t own Trump and it’s why the swamp has to get rid of him.
And don’t think for a minute they won’t turn on DeSantis when it becomes necessary.
