The January 6th committee is finally on the cusp of releasing its much-hyped “report” on the unrest that took place at the Capitol Building following the 2020 election. Or is it? I mean, yes, there’s going to be a report released (and a separate release of criminal referrals), but if the first leaked details of what it will actually contain are any indication, it isn’t actually going to be about the unrest at the Capitol Building at all. Rather, it’s going to be just one big continuation of the committee’s obsession with Donald Trump, who was not even present. Sources spoke to Politico about what the chapter list will be,

If i we’re investigating a bank robbery and I learned that the manager gave the guards the day off on the day of the robbery, i would focus on the manager. The events of January 6 2021 would not have happened had there been adequate security. Prosecute the manager.

So now that we have proof via Twitter-files of the suppression of Trumps Jan. 6th "keep the peace" tweets, not to mention Twitters and presumably Facebook and Instagrams interference in the election, I would think it would be worth noting in the report that the set-up needs to be further investigated.

Nobody talks about the fact that members of Congress enjoy complete immunity from criminal and civil slander laws while they are engaged in their duties. It's time for a Republican congress to pass the same immunity for the sitting President. Any Democrat President already enjoys full de facto immunity. Why play with one hand tied behind our back. Get rid of the Congressional immunity? Why -- only Republicans would be held to account.

After this “report” is issued and the GOPeahens take over, nothing will be investigated, written, criminal referrals made etc to negate this “message..” Why? Why no truth about Pelosi and her organization skills? Why no truth about the real insurrection? Because everyone (almost) in DC want things this way, Donchaknow…

FTA - "In regard to the January 6th unrest, it does not matter what Trump wanted to do with state electors or what he asked of Mike Pence. Those things are not incitement. If they are, then Bernie Sanders should be in jail right now for “inciting” the attack that nearly killed Steve Scalise." And just how much time and money were wasted away on this joke of a J6 committee. The report should be titled, "The Evolution of Trump Derangement Syndrome".

Liz Cheney has come a long way. Cheney has now morphed into a woman living in a dead tree in the woods. Like the headless horseman she lives to terrorize Donald Trump until her dying day. If I were a Republican representative who receives the committee manifesto, I would go to a microphone with cameras rolling and tear it up like Pelosi did to Donald Trump's State of the Union.

We all know the report is going to say, "Orange man BAD." I, for one, am sorry all the hearings are coming to an end. The fact that the house has spent the last two years obsessing over Trump means they haven't focused as much on moving ahead with the destruction of our country. Imagine what they could have gotten done if they had been looking forward more.

San Francisco's mayor is asking municipal departments to find significant savings as the embattled city braces for a $728 million budget deficit, predicted for the next two fiscal years. With some of the lowest office occupancy rates in the country, thanks to the tech companies that make the city's lifeblood retreating to remote work, San Francisco has seen residents move to the suburbs - pushed also by rising crime.  The city's income from property taxes and office rates has plummeted, causing sleepless nights in City Hall. London Breed, the mayor, on Thursday asked municipal departments to identify ways to reduce costs by 5 percent in the next fiscal year and by 8 percent

The 41-year-old mother of four, who was working as a secretary for a Dallas law firm, was standing a few blocks from Dealey Plaza where the 35th president was shot dead on November 22, 1963. Listening to the radio moments after the assassination, Ferrell heard a description of the suspect, who was first characterized as a white male in his 30s and more than six feet tall, wearing a white shirt and khakis. A short time later, she was surprised when a 24-year-old wearing a brown shirt and brown trousers was arrested.
