Just months after a formula shortage rocked parents’ world this summer, decreased availability of acetaminophen (Tylenol) and ibuprofen (Advil/Motrin) for children is drawing concerns amid a tripledemic of flu, COVID and RSV (respiratory syncytial virus). “I just saw a post on our local neighborhood Facebook group with a photo of a wiped-out children’s acetaminophen section from a local pharmacy, asking where they should look next,” says Anna Patil, a Brooklyn mom of two. “That’s pretty scary and is making me want to ration our OTC meds a little.” The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is not currently reporting shortages of

And local large chain pharmacy is out of Z packs in the entire city. Won't have any until at least Monday.

A child's immune system has to be exercised against all that this world's environment has to offer. That is the price of living in this world.
Mom's who strapped a surgical mask on them, fortified by a plastic face shield, weakened them. Moms sanitized everything, unknowing that our bodies are covered head to toe with good and bad bacteria.
Good bacteria is part of our body's defense. Wiped out by sanitizer.
Those children became naked to the world.

Yuck keep your kids off Tylenol. It doesn't work anyway, and it messes up their liver.

It is hard to know anything with certainty presently. I’ve read that 90+ percent of our pharmaceuticals (drugs used to treat illness, disease or discomfort) are presently made in China. Who knows if their generic name is actually what is in the medication, or if there might be some additional “drug” added. Seems prudent to use and give your children the “bare minimum”, and only if clearly needed. Can’t trust physicians in general as we did in past years. Nor our pharmaceutical companies intent on forcing the Vaccine on us. Reliable science, as opinion and fact, is in short supply. Things have changed so much during the past several years. As a physician for 43 years, it is surreal.

#3, It DOES work. When I was five years old, I was sick for five months and was given two weeks to live before it was finally decided to take my tonsild out and I recovered immediately. During that time I ran fever every day. Aspirin was as useless as teats on a boar hog, doctors wanted my mom to immerse me in ice water - no help. Tylenol saved the day.
Don't EVER tell me Tylenol doesn't work. It is hard on liver if you use too much, and won't cure everything, but it sure can save the day sometimes. If you want to understand my feelings, sit in a bathtub immersed in ice water for a half an hour or so. That will help your understanding.
To this day, aspirin is totally useless for me, probably from back then, Tylenol is about the only thing that works for me.
Tylenol is useless for some. Ibuprofen is useless for some. Aspirin is useless for some. Each is a miracle drug for some. We need to be making these here in Amerika instead of depending on China.

Since 81 mg aspirin (aka baby aspirin) started being prescribed for older patients with heart issues, there has been an OVER supply in most stores. Dollar General (China's main US outlet) has the lowest cost. Kroger stores have a 3-bottle box of low-dose 81 mg Aspirin a very low cost. But most moms only want advil or motrin type pain/fever relief for their children. Pediatricians must think the NSAIDS are more sophisticated than lowly 81 mg aspirin.

Shouldn't be a surprise. BTW, there is still a baby formula shortage. The Biden administration has Fubar'd the supply chain. Another fine mess brought to you by Lame Duck Joe.

Cutting pills is a perfectly OK thing. I am pretty sure that the "children's tylenol" is just a lower dose, so cut larger pills.
