Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said Monday that Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., would be right to remove Democrats Ilhan Omar, Adam Schiff and Eric Swalwell from their committee assignments. McCarthy said Sunday he would take the action when he becomes speaker of the GOP-controlled House. NEWT GINGRICH: I think Nancy Pelosi set the precedent. She did something that had never been done before and reached into the minority party to decide who could and could not serve on some committees. I think Kevin McCarthy is following her precedent. So the Democrats have nothing to complain about because they started this dance and frankly, the three people he's picked

“Ya. Hehe. I had to be. It’s what reputations are made of, to some extent. I feel bad for those guys who get f—ed by it, by this dumb game we woke westerners play where we say all the right shibboleths and so everyone likes us.” —Sam Bankman-Fried
The FTX Bitcoin empire of 30-year-old CEO Sam Bankman-Fried is in shambles. Or more specifically, his “dumb game” cryptocurrency exchange has destroyed thousands of lives. Electronically, he may have robbed perhaps a million investors, and along with them hundreds of large institutional investors.
Mysteriously, only after the conclusion of the midterm elections, did we suddenly learn that this left-wing “philanthropist”

Vote Latino President María Teresa Kumar argued on Saturday that gerrymandering was a factor in Gov. Ron DeSantis’ re-election, despite his race being a statewide office. Kumar appeared as a guest host on MSNBC’s "Velshi," where a panel discussed former President Trump’s effect on the Republican Party. The discussion soon focused on DeSantis as a kind of successor to "Trumpism" for his rise in popularity
However, Kumar claimed that his success, even in the state of Florida, is due not to DeSantis’ record as governor, but because he "gerrymandered" the state.

Get ready, America: The Biden administration, emboldened by the Democrats’ midterm over-performance, is doubling down on its disastrous strategy to date. Per insiders speaking to Axios, Biden plans to remake “the White House into a more political operation.”
Impossible! Biden’s already run the most political White House in recent memory, where the larger public good is brutally ignored in favor of the immediate interests of the president and his party.Look at his disastrous border policy. It’s caused untold human misery and has now spread to cities — like New York — nowhere near the southern border, all while pouring money into the pockets of fentanyl-peddling cartels and human traffickers.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., on Sunday vowed to remove Democratic Reps. Eric Swalwell, Adam Schiff and Ilhan Omar from their congressional committees when Republicans retake control in the new Congress. During an appearance on Fox News’ "Sunday Morning Futures," McCarthy told anchor Maria Bartiromo that he will keep the promise he made in January to remove Swalwell and Schiff from the House Intelligence Committee and Omar from the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
McCarthy said Swalwell's association with a Chinese spy, Schiff’s promotion of the Steele dossier and Omar’s criticism of Israel disqualify them from serving on their respective panels.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., said on Saturday that when he is speaker of the House next year he plans to remove Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., from the House Foreign Affairs Committee over her "antisemitic" comments. "We watch antisemitism grow, not just on our campuses, but we watched it grow In the halls of Congress," he said at the Republican Jewish Coalition’s 2022 leadership meeting in Las Vegas.
"I promised you last year that as speaker she will no longer be on Foreign Affairs, and I’m keeping that promise," he said to cheers from the audience.

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell was re-elected to another term as GOP conference chief on Wednesday after an underwhelming midterm performance kept Republicans from taking a majority in the upper chamber. But McConnell’s win as Republicans lose is just going to be more ammo for former President Donald Trump, who announced a third bid for the White House just one night before the Senate leader’s re-election.
Neither Trump nor McConnell looks triumphant after last week’s elections. Many of Trump’s top candidates lost key races while McConnell emerges as the culprit for losing the majority. McConnell’s PAC, the Senate Leadership Fund (SLF), re-routed scarce resources from competitive pick-up opportunities

Republican Reps. James Comer and Jim Jordan alleged at a press conference Thursday that President Biden was actively involved in overseas business dealings involving his son Hunter. Comer, citing whistleblowers, asserted that the Biden family "flourished and became millionaires by simply offering access to the family."
The representatives alleged that Hunter Biden and Joe Biden participated in "waste, fraud, and abuse" in international business dealings. The Republicans are releasing a report Thursday outlining their findings.
"This is an investigation of Joe Biden," Comer said.

The 2022 midterms are almost in the books. The large red wave did not materialize, although Republicans did pick up some congressional seats and, apparently, the House. There are significant and important reasons why a large red wave didn’t occur and one large warning for Republicans. First, before anyone says Republicans had bad candidates, keep in mind that the Democrats won the Senate with John Fetterman and Sen. Krysten Sinema, D-AZ, before him. Bad candidates didn’t stop them, and this article addresses why.
It is important to remember that in 2010, the first midterm election after President Barack Obama was elected, Democrats lost 63 seats in the House of Representatives

U.S. Sen. Patty Murray will likely be the first woman to serve as Senate president pro tempore, a position that would place her third in line for the presidency. Murray will also likely chair the powerful Senate Appropriations Committee, controlling the federal purse strings and directing billions of dollars of spending.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer plans to nominate Murray, who was just elected to a sixth term, to the position, Murray’s office said Wednesday.
The Senate president pro tem presides over the Senate in the vice president’s absence. The position is third in line for the presidency, after the vice president and the House speaker.

Polish President Andrzej Duda said in a tweet that he spoke with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and verifies "the premises of Article 4," which allows member countries to bring security concerns for discussion. The discussions come after Russian missiles crossed into Poland and killed two people, according to a U.S. intelligence official who spoke with the Associated Press. The two people were reportedly killed in the village of Przewodów, where a projectile struck, which is near the Ukrainian border.
Following the reported explosion in Poland, NATO ambassadors will hold a meeting on Wednesday at Poland's request, according to Reuters.

The one promise that President Joe Biden has faithfully kept is his pledge to "close down" fossil fuels. We get two-thirds of our energy in America from fossil fuels, and almost one-third of our power comes from coal. That's quadruple the amount of energy we get from wind and solar, which are niche forms of energy. But Biden doesn't see it that way. He recently reiterated his pledge to end coal production altogether.
"No one is building new coal plants because they can't rely on it," Biden said on Nov. 4 while in California. "We're going to be shutting these plants down all across America and having wind and solar."
Comments:
They’d better have ironclad proof. Otherwise, this will blow up in their faces and actually strengthen the Democrats’ hand.
