Former first daughter Ivanka Trump said late Tuesday that she would play no part in her father’s 2024 presidential campaign, one day after The Post reported the former commander-in-chief had pleaded with her to be on stage with him when he announced his run.
“I love my father very much. This time around, I am choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family. I do not plan to be involved in politics,” Ivanka, 41, said in a statement.
“While I will always love and support my father, going forward I will do so outside the political arena,” she added.

Good. I always thought she and her hubby were New York liberals when the rubber meets the road.

Just as well. I have long suspected she was a drag on the Conservative reclamation of the Nation. Her heart's in the right place; for a liberal New Yorker heiress. She's a lovely woman, and will continue to pose for lots of pretty photos. And I was deeply mistrustful of Jared.

For the past few weeks the NY Post made a sharp left turn and went full anti-Trump. I don't believe anything they print now.

Good. She needs to stay home and raise those beautiful children. But President Trump will still need people close to him that he can talk to and draw support from. They’ll figure it out, I have no doubts.

Frankly I’m beginning to find Trump exhausting. His dissing of DeSantis shows his lack of seriousness and ego. His lack of focus and bombastic attitude is wearing thin with people. And why does he want to put his family through even more attacks from the deranged Left and media. Let someone else carry the MAGA banner.

#10, I voted for Trump twice and think he was the greatest president we have had, but I have reluctantly come to the same conclusion you have.
MAGA yes. But MAGA has be more than one person. If DeSantis is the GOP nominee I think he will run and govern as MAGA. Of course if Trump is our nominee I will enthusiastically support him.

It appears the MAGA cultists don’t like her. I can understand her desires after her family’s experience of the past seven years. Politics is a wearing process. I’d like to the cultists handle it.

Ivanka is a beautiful woman and mother. Politics is a very nasty business. She will be enormously successful pursuing her private businesses, and supporting her father and the family.

“MAGA cultists” … lol. If you’re so g-damned stupid that you call citizens who want their country to be great again “cultist,” then there’s no reason to be here anymore unless you are a troll. Move along, colostomy bag.

Please don’t fall for the Fox/GOPe narrative #10. Many believe DeSantis is being controlled by the Wall Street multinational corporations. (Globalists) Millions flowing in from them. Very concerning that DeSantis didn’t condemn the Mara Lago raid. Speaks volumes. With DeSantis, we lose our Tea party, patriot, MAGA, America first leadership. (I do appreciate his anti-woke, anti-CRT, pro children leadership, however). Trump is the ONLY ONE to expose the dark underside of our own party. Left wing, right wing same bird. We’ve been deceived long enough.

Good. Her political leanings were not in sync with her father’s so it’s best she made the decision to bow out. This way she will be able to slide right back into her lefty friend group. The gal was no conservative. She was in it for her father and I can’t fault her for that but it’s best she steps away. She enjoyed his success as a daughter should but she wasn’t dialed into his political ideology. She and her husband will be better off away from the campaign.

Ivanka, start some new businesses. It will drive the libs crazy. Don't have your name as the company/products/services. Be stealth until the company is very profitable.

Ivanka has never, ever had to worry about money, and has likely never been dumped by a 'friend' (see the duplicitous Chelsea Clinton), and has had support and big success in business, so this adventure into politics must have been quite an eye-opener. It's shocking to see just how rotten people are when it comes to money and power. I would be curious to know if she is still a liberal now that she sees how the democrat party behaves. She's making the right decision - it really wasn't for her, this cesspool called politics.

I find it entirely agreeable for Ivanka to decide to be a woman. Look what we did to her. She had to give up her privacy. Had insult after insult hurled at her. Lies and rumors. Rigorous schedule. I think her decision is more in line with a mother who cares about her children. She loves her dad, and will support him. She will not be part of the media. That is all. Leave her alone and it has nothing to do with a rift. It has to do with a woman deciding what it is important for...So be it.

It's not unusual for family members of presidents to stay in the background. Jimmy Carter was the exception when he admitted he used his 12-year-old daughter Amy to advise about thermonuclear weapons deployment.

The NYP is not pro-Trump, Murdoch. Ivanka would have been classier if she had simply said that she needed time with her children and let it go at that. I imagine she doesn’t want her kids exposed to anti-Trump vitriol. I don’t blame her.
