war is a winner

I have argued consistently that fighting against the “transgender” movement is a winner for conservatives. Once people have children, they become very protective of them and do not want their son’s weird, pierced, blue-haired kindergarten teacher to convince him he’s really a girl and, oh, by the way, don’t tell your mommy and daddy that. Ron DeSantis’s decisive victory in Florida indicates that the policy is a winner (with Glenn Youngkin’s 2020 Virginia victory suggesting the same).
Today, the culture war’s importance got in my face in two ways. First, Gateway Pundit ran a post about one of the local winners in the Miss America contest in New Hampshire.

DeSantis effectively fixed the vote se unity problem. Thereby reducing the digfference between votes and ballots. That deranged the Democrat fraud machine. THAT is the biggest difference between Florida and other battleground dates. Biggest beneficiary was little Marco Rubio. Let's not confuse the issue

DeSantis realized that you don't win if you bring a knife to a gun fight.

DeSantis is right just as was Andrew Breitbart. He knew who the enemy was and fought hard against it. He famously said, politics is downstream from culture and he was so right. We lost a warrior when we lost AB.
DeSantis is saying all the right things and doing great things for the state of Florida. I admire him. His victory speech was wonderful. However, my fear is who is backing him financially. Those big donors want a return on their money. I pray he is the real deal because the country certainly needs men who will fight the good fight.

Governor DeSantis has broken the code......but will the GOP crawl out from under the bed long enough to listen?

Ron DeSantis ran on his record and he was one of the few in this election who had a record on which to run. The people who chose losers like Fetterman, Hochul and Whitmer are obviously happy with crime and dictatorial government, I wish them lots of luck.

I had to read the Article by Sundance to understand why they were talking about Votes vs Ballots. It certainly makes sense. The thing is, the States control their Elections. All of the Democrat States are going to continue their success with Paper Ballots spread far and wide! It's worked for Two elections now, so why change anything. Florida figured it out. Hopefully, at least ALL Republican States will follow Governor DeSantis and do away with paper ballots being sent out to anyone and everyone! Governor DeSantis now needs to bring other Governors in for a Meeting on how it's done. Also, I'm not sure where the accusations are coming from regarding Governor DeSantis' Backing! I think maybe we need to see Proof that the "Establishment" is backing him. I don't think that's true, but if there is Proof, maybe I will look at it! I just know I live in Florida and I've watched the Governor grow and become very strong and fearless. He gets things done. He doesn't need countless meetings with committees to mull over the best way to save his hide when doing something the "Woke" community might not like. He just does it! He knows what is right and wrong! Imagine that!

DeSantis should not run in the next election and should make that final early on. Infighting will destroy the movement. He should support Trump and build his reputation in Florida. He is young enough to wait and after that he could go for the next two terms. If we were to get 3 conservative terms in, we could bring our country back and upward.

DeSantis deserved to win by the margin that he did but....Without his state having been made cheat proof in elections after the 2000 whinefest by dim-0s, DeSantis would have suffered the same fate as other Republicans elsewhere.

Enough already. I don't care if I am talking about Biden, Obama, Pelosi, Clinton, Soros, Bush, Trump etc., etc. I am talking about leadership. Anymore, it is about their super-egos rather than mature and effective leadership. I see Ron DeSantis as the latter of the two.
There is a passage in one of my Bibles titled "Coping With Competition" - it is lengthy but it makes a good point. Here it is: "Overcoming the natural tendencies of a competitive spirit takes supernatural intervention. It must be a constant petition to God. A competitive spirit is often fed by a dissatisfied spirit. If we learn to accept God's place and plan for us, we won't need to compare ourselves with someone else. Having developed the use of gifts with humble service as our goal, we will be able to serve quietly without envying. We will be able to work in the church nursery in a spirit of service and contentment rather than wishing we were gifted like the person who leads a large Bible class. Servants in either situation can feel confident and grateful for the opportunity to serve God wherever he has placed them. The bottom line may be our willingness to forget about who gets the glory for our service - ourselves or God. Certainly, when we learn to hand the bouquets back to God, we won't need to compare ourselves with anyone else."
I am bewildered at what has happened to campaigns, politics, government, media, large corporations, leadership in this country. Leadership has become saturated with bloated egos, lying, cheating, corruption, fattened checkbooks, and the list goes on. Leadership has also become very distant from God and if wisdom only comes from God, there are a lot of leaders running around leaning on themselves. It shows.

Governor DeSantis allowing the DOJ to invade Mara Lago and allowing Islamist infiltration of the Broward County Sheriff's Office are cause for concern. GEEZE!

Fan club note for #3, as far as a nobody up here in Tennessee can tell, if DeSantis was in the pocket of Filthy Lucre, Inc., he'd have shown some sign long before now. Speaking of my own gov. and senator, some of my family in California want to move to TN before their terms are up so as to be under GREAT leadership.

No. It's the economy. People won't be thinking much about the culture if they are busy feeding their family, keeping a roof over their head, and looking for their next job. They won't care about the culture when the government goes bankrupt.
By all means though. Focus on the culture. It is a great distraction.
Why did DeSantis (and Rubio) win so convincingly, and there was a red wave in Florida? Because the Florida economy is booming and firing on all 12 cylinders. DeSantis has been competent and honest. That counts for alot.

Some additional thoughts (wish I had an edit button).
Culture definitely plays a role in all this since culture has much to do with honesty and competence. There are many stupid things being said, and there are many lies. Especially in politics.

#8 - Of course DeSantis should surrender to the MAGA crowd. Why? To avoid strife? DeSantis would be a fool to do this. He’s either a leader or a nebbish. Strife comes with FPDT…and that’s his “charm”.

The important thing to remember is desantis is supported by Jonah goldberg..here at lucianne....he was a never Trumper and it's reflected on his choice of articles...desantis did a good job in Florida...so let's let him stay in Florida and continue his work...as for me and my house...WE follow President Trump...and nothing soros can do will change that....

As long as the two big guys, Trump and DeSantis keep it civil, I'm fine with some good healthy competition that gets the two men and their policies noticed. Yes, I have some concern over some of DeSantis financial support is coming from, but as long as he represents and follows through as in the best interests of the State of Florida and who knows as a future president, I'm in. You have to give the guy a lot of credit for getting Fort Myers, Florida back on its feet after Hurricane Ian.
Yes, Trump should cool down a bit and continue with effective messaging. But let's see what the lame duck congress, the J6 clowns, and Garlic Man do to him first.
I'm pleased we are in this position to have two smart people in position to run for president. Now that the mid-term election is behind us and we have House control (and possibly Senate control, too?), I'm ready to look forward to 2024. But let's hope the world's financial system stays intact long enough to get past November 2024.

I do have one more thing to add so forgive my second post. I think what people forget is, yes, Donald Trump had a wonderful slogan - Make America Great Again. It made people think that leadership was truly going to listen. After Clinton, Bush, and Obama, it was clear that these personalities were all about themselves. The people of the United States want a leader who is going to listen to everyone not just a select people. Donald Trump's slogan hit home but it can't be about him anymore. It has to be about the people and I am not certain with Donald Trump that it is there anymore.
No I don't think we had a red wave but that was the media and Democrats creating that illusion. They can be very cunning. I think Ron DeSantis recognizes it.
