The Republican establishment is wrong to blame former President Donald Trump for losses in Tuesday’s midterm elections, Washington Times Opinion Editor Charlie Hurt said on Wednesday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow.
In a wide-ranging interview, much of discussion centered on former President Trump and his role in the midterms. Hurt said that Trump-backed candidates like Ohio’s new Senator-elect J.D. Vance and Florida’s Gov. Ron DeSantis were victorious because they ran strong campaigns on MAGA issues.

What losses. Tonight, Republicans are one more than democrats in the Senate. Something like 19 more in congress and one more in governorships. This is like those who said conservatives rioted on January 6th.

The RNC and their Dems in RINO skins are actually pooping their RINO roos.
Trump/MAGA did pretty darn good considering we were fighting two forces simultaneously.
These RINOs better get in line or get gone!
Trump is coming, coming, coming and MAGA is gonna rally, rock-'n'-roll and crash your RINOcerass!!!

we heard rumors of demcommie money involved in the support of repub candidates to give the demcommie candidate a weak opponent, I have a feeling this is he same thing only by taking this tactic it will look like the repubs are bringing on the agita and not the demcommies - there are many things anyone can say about our President but one of them would not be that he's singularly involved in this campaign, he's not and he keeps saying that at his rally's - don't people listen??? and another thing, who is the biggest voice in the rebuke of our President, huh? - my suspicion: Hong Kong Mitch, among others, I think the fingers are pointed at him in this article, also who are the repubs jumping on this rebuke bandwagon so quickly and why??

Let’s not forget the student loan program payoff, the never ending Covid $$$, my guess is lots of freebies to the unemployed & the young who refuse to work getting Covid $$, had an influence on the votes? Dems cater to the unemployed & youth with taxpayer $$$. A study yesterday stated 7 million people are still at home refusing to return to work. Maybe the Republican house will end the Covid $$$ payouts?

If you were expected to win the Super Bowl by ten points and you end up winning on a last minute two point conversion, you still won the Super Bowl.

#1. People voted against their own self interest, such as future rape n murder victims in NY. Pretty hard to convert them to republicans.
#2. People voted for a dead guy and walking dead guy. This can only happen by a brain dead voters base. Again, unreachable by the living.
#3. DJT ain't just running for office. He's running to shore up a crumbling Republic.
I'm not sure he can do it but I'm pretty sure we can't do it without him.

We haven't gotten the election results yet. The Democrats have not finished voting. We can expect the results after Christmas. Then we can assess who won or lost.

It appears the establishment republicans are forming a pac to get rid of Trump...DeSantis, Paul Ryan, Youngkin, Sears, Pence, Vance, Mitch ...Fox's Neil Cavuto seems to be the main cheerleader!!! The signal was sent when Youngkin, Pence & DeSantis pushed Trump out of campaign appearances....Now they blame Trump???For What??? Firing Nancy???

The GOP has yet to articulate a plan of what they will do. What policies do they offer to fight inflation, make the United State competitive (tariffs are not the answer), how will they control the border, how will they restart the oil and coal industries, how will they reverse the insanity on climate policies how will they strengthen our freedoms? They do not give answers to these questions we only hear about more investigations. No the GOP has only one interest and that is the preservation of power and flow of funds for the party and it’s leadership. DeSantis appears to be the exception and truly cares for Floridians. Watch the House under GOP control will do nothing but talk and threaten and the Senate will role over because of the fake Republicans in many of those seats.

Conservative Treehouse has an explanation for the Trump DeSantis discussion. In a nutshell, the establishment is pushing a candidate (DeSantis) who has the same chance of winning in 2024 as Romney or McCain did against Obama in 2008/2012. Those two candidates were pushed by the establishment to stop the Tea Party momentum in its tracks which they did. They don’t care if they lose an election, they want to kill off MAGA for good. Trump is trying to save MAGA at all costs. It’s ugly, it’s brutal but he remembers how the establishment stopped this movement the last time and he’s willing to lose a few supporters to save MAGA.

It is difficutin Pennsylvania not to blame DJT for his pushing Dr. Oz to the republican nomination.
Pushing an out of stater, political novice, who ran a weak campaign was not a great idea.

Th GOPe worked HARD to help Dems and to hurt any real conservatives, to keep the Uniparty in power. And after all their continuous sabotage, they try to blame THEIR results on Trump.
