Earlier today JPMorgan Chase Bank kicked out outspoken singer-rapper Kanye “Ye” West and told him they were going to shut down his bank accounts. They were upset with Kanye’s social media posts and his T-shirt choice at a Paris fashion show. That was this afternoon. This evening Bank of America canceled popular conservative Twitter user Catturd’s podcast account. No reason was given. (Snip) Bank of America’s third-largest shareholder is Woke Blackrock, a financial group with strong ties to Communist China.

Comments:

His name is silly but Catturd is the best thing about Twitter and Gettr.

BoA is a totally rotten, anti-American company. They bought out my bank and once I recognized their rottenness, I moved my account.

I think there could be a problem with impeding Commerce. I will check with lawyer hubby in the AM. They don't accuse in either case some sort of illegal activity, just that they "don't like" what the customer says or does.

I knew BoA was at the least, least indifferent to 'regular' customers, but I guess Kanye's deposits weren't even ample enough. Remember this: Snopes as 'True' The 13 February 2007 disclosure that Bank of America (BofA), the largest retail banking chain in the U.S., had been testing a pilot program to provide credit cards to customers who may not have had Social Security numbers made it the target of criticism. While Bank of America asserted that the pilot program (originally tested at five Southern California branches in 2006, then expanded to 51 branches in Los Angeles County) was about meeting the needs of potential customers rather than politics, My ex BoA branch wouldn't allow me to deposit cash in my own account without an ID. I'm long gone.
