Poll: Independent Voters Swing 18 Points
Toward GOP on Generic Ballot

Original Article

Independent voters are breaking for Republican candidates less than two weeks before the November 8 midterm elections. According to CBS/YouGov polling from October 12 to 14, independent voters preferred generic congressional Democrat candidates over Republican ones by 40 percent to 38 percent. However, in a second poll from October 26 to 28, independents said they preferred generic congressional Republican candidates over Democrat candidates by 49 percent to 33 percent. This means that Republicans saw an 18-point swing in their favor among independent voters over a two-week period. The CBS/YouGov web-based poll surveyed 1,000 Americans and has a +/- 3.5 percent margin of error.

Things are looking positive, but I worry about a couple things. 1. The ability of establishment Republicans to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory 2. Vote stealing schemes (ie, "ballot harvesting," legal in Californian but no where else) and other nefarious plans of Democrats and their media whores.

If we win the House install Kevin McCarthy, we lose. He is a deep state swamp creature. If we keep the turtle in the Senate then the past 2 yrs would be waste of time and money. Republicans are not called the stupid party for nothing

Can you hear the bells tolling for the death of the dems? Does anyone really think that the polls have swung that much in two weeks? Part of this is the polling companies adjusting their polls toward reality so they can claim that they "got the 2022 election 'right'". The hilarious thing is that dems have made such a horrible mess of SO MANY THINGS, that they have almost nothing to run on. They have been trying to lie about the real status of things like the economy but with NO media credibility to back them up and personal economic experience by the electorate, no one believes the dems/media and it further exposes them as the liars that always have been. They have even screwed up the abortion issue by going to extremes of abortion at birth. Most of the electorate supports, with great caution, some forms of abortion in the case of rape and incest or threat to the mother's health. There is also support for early term abortions for women whose birth control failed. But most people do NOT support unlimited abortion. The electorate has seen the extremes the dems might ultimately go to and are NOT in agreement. In truth, the SCOTUS properly returning the decision to the states has allowed the rest of us to say, let the extremists go to Kalifornia but keep abortion extremism OUT of our state. That is the proper Constitutional balance for such issues.

This election will be determine by the so-called "independent 'swing' voters" since them majority of voters have determined who they were voting for a LONG time ago! It baffles me how anyone can be undecided at this point. It may be crass to say it, but only those who are reliant upon the wardship of government money will be voting demonrat socialist marxist. Most of those who still maintain traditional lives without the emphasis forced down our throats by the electronic/social media are NOT going to be voting voting for the Vegetable's party. Those who are being branded as 'extremists' for holding to tried and true values are about to speak loudly. The quote from Admiral Yamamoto after the Pearl Harbor attack comes to mind-- paraphrased-- "I think all we have done is awakened a sleeping giant" The old, low-T Judas RINOs are next!

Disappointed but not surprised. Independent voters changed preference in 14 days? Being independent is fine, but could so many of them be unaware of circumstances that 2 weeks makes a difference to them?

Shanghai’s Disneyland Resort abruptly closed Monday to comply with China’s strict COVID-19 protocols, leaving visitors stranded inside the theme park. The resort broke the news at 11:39 a.m. local time Monday, or 11:39 p.m. ET Sunday, that it would immediately shut the main theme park and surrounding areas, including its shopping street, until further notice to comply with virus curbs. All guests were directed to stay inside the park until they returned a negative test for the virus. “Following the pandemic control measures per government guidelines, Shanghai Disneyland temporarily closed today,” a Disney spokesperson told The Post on Monday. “The COVID testing process was expedited and all guests have exited the park.”

The Supreme Court on Tuesday rejected a request from Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., to quash a grand jury subpoena in a Georgia prosecutor’s probe into alleged interference in the 2020 presidential election. The decision is a victory for Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, whose office is investigating phone calls Graham made to Georgia election officials at a time when then-President Donald Trump was contesting the result. As a result of the court action, the subpoena can now be enforced, although Graham could refuse to answer questions by invoking his right against self-incrimination under the Constitution's Fifth Amendment.

Has Ukraine gotten into position to liberate Kherson and cut off Russian communications with Crimea? Moscow announced overnight that their forces, which had already displaced civilians on the western bank of the Dnipro near Kherson, would now evacuate civilians within 15 kilometers from the eastern bank as well. Vladimir Putin’s spinmeisters tried selling this as a move to a stronger defensive and protection against a WMD attack. This forced evacuation in reality strongly suggests that Russia expects to get pushed across the river and needs to set up a run for it: Russia ordered civilians to leave a sliver of Ukraine along the eastern bank of the Dnipro River, a major extension

However, this one is too good to pass up noting. From Bloomberg: Twitter Inc., the social network being overhauled by new owner Elon Musk, has frozen some employee access to internal tools used for content moderation and other policy enforcement, curbing the staff’s ability to clamp down on misinformation ahead of a major US election. Most people who work in Twitter’s Trust and Safety organization are currently unable to alter or penalize accounts that break rules around misleading information,

Democrats have been trying desperately to come up with a winning narrative to fend off a red wave in the midterm elections next week, but according to the voters, they’ve failed to make the case. According to a new poll from the Trafalgar Group in conjunction with Convention of States Action, two-thirds of voters say Democrats haven’t convinced them to vote Democrat in the midterms, and a majority of voters (over 80%) believe that the Republicans will take over one or both houses of Congress. Only 34% of Americans think Biden and the Democratic Party leadership have made a convincing argument for why they should vote for Democratic candidates in 2022.

After a brief period of time over the summer where Democrats saw a little bit of a bump in their overall polling numbers and a slight momentum shift in their direction in the aftermath of the Supreme Court ruling to overturn Roe v. Wade, their hopes and dreams of a “comeback” of sorts ahead of the crucial midterm elections collided with some brutal reality checks. For starters, President Joe Biden’s approval numbers came crashing down to earth. Independent voters reasserted themselves as well, with Biden hitting new lows among that key voting bloc, with independents also expressing disapproval with his emphasis on abortion over kitchen table issues like inflation and the economy
