Inflation is increasingly important to a broadening super-majority of Americans even as the Federal Reserve’s efforts to slow down price hikes have driven up interest rates at the fastest pace in decades.
Seventy-four percent of American adults rate the inflation issue as “very important,” according to a recent poll from the Economist and YouGov. The poll was taken of 1,500 American adults between October 1st and 3rd.
That’s a big jump from 64 percent in the poll a month earlier.

I beg to disagree. Married people of all races, religions and persuasions are suffering more if they are working forty or more hours a week, making payments on the necessities of life and still have children at home. Some, like the citizens of blue and highly-taxed areas suffer more but largely from the way their neighbors vote.

I rarely eat home so don't go to the store much. Yesterday I went for a few essentials and thought I would get a couple of cans of soup just to have in the house. $4.29 a can! No thank you.

The extreme leftist crazies are always running around and proclaiming that things that affect us all nevertheless "women and minorities hardest hit" in their dimwitted screeds.
In this case, people with the lowest incomes, less savings and less margin of money left over at the end of the month after paying their bills ARE ACTUALLY the hardest hit by the crooked and uncaring inflation of the currency, which causes prices to be forced upwards.....actually the money is falling downwards while the physical goods remain the same value.
I purchased an unusual handgun yesterday, long out of production, but brought back into production by a new company making a limited number of them. I bought an original of the gun in 1975 for $375. Now, about half a century later, a duplicate of the gun was purchased for $3690, almost exactly 10 times the price originally paid. And that is because the dollar is worth 1/10th today of what it was worth in those long ago times.
Cars - more than ten times as expensive, closer to 15 with all the added government required equipment.
Food, easily ten times as expensive.
So, a dime in 1975 would buy what a dollar will buy today.
THAT is the effect of inflation. And it does hit the lower end of the economic scale the hardest.

There is no free lunch, despite what Progressive Democrats have tried to offer over the past 50 years.
Every program needs funding, employees to administer, salaries, benefits, pensions, office space, phones, computers, etc. And, will need more every year thereafter.
How is it government doesn't become more effective and efficient, only adds more people to the problems?
Excessive government spending is how we have inflation, period.
