Fetterman Struggles in NBC Interview,

NBC correspondent Dasha Burns broke news Tuesday when she revealed on both MSNBC and NBC Nightly News that Pennsylvania Democrat Senate candidate John Fetterman is in worse shape than originally thought after his near-debilitating stroke.  While previewing her exclusive interview with Fetterman, Burns told viewers that his “campaign required close captioning technology for this interview to essentially read our questions as we asked them.”   She went on to note that “in small talk before the interview without captioning, it wasn't clear he was understanding our conversation.”

As a Pennsylvanian I can’t believe this election is as close as the polls say. Oz is not a bad candidate as some say. He’s an articulate moderately conservative candidate; the type of Republican that does well in Pennsylvania. I never even heard of Fetterman until this election cycle. And yet he seems to have this devoted base that supports him no matter what. I live in a rural Republican part of the state and see a lot of Fetterman signs. Go figure.

Democrats do not care about who holds a seat as they are all told how and when to vote. Look at our disgraceful White House. If they don’t care about it’s occupant, why would expect them to give a damn about anything else.

#2, I don't think I ever said Oz was a bad candidate. I said he started off running a bad campaign, which is the fault of his stsff, to a large degree. He also was not quick enough to deal with the outsider/carpet bagger charge His campaign is looking better each day, as Fetterman mumbles and stumbles his way through each day.

Big time Dem. $$$$$ going to Fedderman, with stress on his stroke but NOT his leanings, which are horrendous. But just heard a totally believable idea; Dems elect Fedderman, then a month in , when it is obvious he can't do the job because of health, have him bow out and the (Democratic) Governor will put in someone equally despicable re: crime and the economy and the border. Sounds like their kind of chess move.

Fetterman is a damaged, immature child but one thing he understands is that being a United States senator is the ultimate ticket to achieving a life of permanent income, benefits and privileges without benefit of doing any actual work, much like he has been doing his entire life. He is sick and anybody who votes for him is sick.

The Air Force has denied that Politico‘s outing of a Republican congressional candidate’s status as a sexual-assault survivor could have been based on documents released as part of a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, despite the publication’s claims otherwise. Politico’s Adam Wren reported last week that Indiana congressional candidate and Air Force veteran Jennifer-Ruth Green suffered a sexual assault while serving in Iraq, despite Green’s pleas that he refrain from disclosing the details. Wren claimed that the lengthy profile of Green was based on documents obtained through a FOIA

The Supreme Court on Thursday rejected an emergency request from former President Donald Trump to intervene in the dispute over classified documents seized from his Mar-a-Lago estate in August. Trump had asked the justices to reverse a federal appeals court and allow a special master to review about 100 documents marked classified, a move that could have opened the door for his legal team to review the records and argue that they should be off limits to prosecutors in a criminal case. But in a brief order, the court denied the request. There were no noted dissents.

Americans are squeezed by the cost of living: that’s been true for years, and they didn’t need today’s report to tell them that. It’s a key reason I ran for President. Working to give middle class families some breathing room in dealing with their costs is critical. Today’s report shows some progress in the fight against higher prices, even as we have more work to do. Inflation over the last three months has averaged 2%, at an annualized rate. That’s down from 11% in the prior quarter. But even with this progress, prices are still too high. Fighting the global inflation that is affecting countries around the world

Washington - The White House tried to fudge the numbers Thursday after newly released data revealed that consumer prices jumped by 8.2% year-over-year last month — with President Biden insisting he’s made “progress” tackling the problem and that inflation really is on a 2% trajectory. “Today’s report shows some progress in the fight against higher prices, even as we have more work to do,” Biden said in a written statement. “Inflation over the last three months has averaged 2%, at an annualized rate. That’s down from 11% in the prior quarter.” Critics blasted the message as deceptive and reminiscent of Biden’s August claim that there was “zero inflation”

Washington - The House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol plans to vote to subpoena former President Donald Trump, sources familiar with the committee's plans told NBC News Thursday. Members of the panel, which held what was expected to be its final hearing before the midterm elections Thursday, had previously said that they were still considering seeking an interview with Trump or former Vice President Mike Pence. A subpoena would come more than a year since the committee began investigating the insurrection and despite multiple members of Congress previously acknowledging that it was unlikely Trump would comply.

With his business empire, the Trump Organization, in civil and criminal jeopardy in New York, Donald Trump has come up with an apparent solution that has angered state officials: He has formed the Trump Organization II. The new company was registered with the New York Department of State on September 21, public records show — the very day that the state attorney general, Letitia James, filed a 220-page fraud lawsuit against Trump, his family, and the original Trump Organization, the umbrella company for the former president's real-estate and golf-resort holdings. On Thursday, James' office fought back against the move, filing court papers that ask a Manhattan judge to bar Trump from

The GOP lawmakers who backed Donald Trump-driven election challenges that metastasized into violence on Jan. 6, 2021, aren’t taking much campaign-trail heat for it. Democrats don’t lack for material to slam Republicans as election-denying riot boosters, and in fact many of them deploy that attack while in Washington: A majority of House Republicans voted to oppose certifying 2020 results — a sentiment backed by many of their candidates, too. But given that most GOP objectors occupy comfortably red seats, Democrats are limited on where they can use those certification votes as a successful issue this fall.

Washington - More U.S. adults are now feeling financially vulnerable amid high inflation — a political risk for President Joe Biden and his fellow Democrats one month before the midterm elections. Some 46% of people now call their personal financial situation poor, up from 37% in March, according to a new poll by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research. That’s a notable downturn at a particularly inopportune moment for Biden, given that the share of Americans who felt positive about their finances had stayed rock steady over the last few years — even during the economic turmoil of the COVID-19 pandemic. And while a majority of Americans see high prices

Officials at the Federal Reserve and in the Biden administration are seeing promising signs that the U.S. might finally be through the worst of inflation. But don’t expect them to declare victory anytime soon. Import prices have dropped as the value of the dollar has surged. Supply chain snarls have been easing for months. Retailers have been building up their backroom store of products. All of these trends suggest that price spikes should begin to cool off. But topline inflation data has remained stubbornly high, feeding the steady drumbeat of remarks by central bank policymakers that they can’t let up yet.
