An FBI whistleblower has come forward to say the bureau is violating policies in its investigation into the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol breach.
The whistleblower raising concerns about how the bureau is handling the Jan. 6 investigation has identified himself as special agent Steve Friend.
(snip) said in a declaration made public on Sept. 26 that he was told that (snip) he would be focusing on domestic terrorism investigations.
(snip)observed that FBI policies on case assignments were being violated because the Washington Field Office was enabling field offices around the country to lead investigations on crimes that allegedly took place in Washington on or around Jan. 6, but officials in Washington are

When this things blows, it's going to be monumental!! I don't expect anything to happen until the Republicans are back in the House and Senate. But then, Lookout! They can lower the Boom on what is going on, make Wray come to testify, demand lots and lots of proof, get information on WHY they are holding prisoners without allowing attorneys and on and on and on! Then when we get a Republican President, we can watch HEADS ROLL! My guess is Wray will retire before that happens! So will a lot of those who have been on the Jan 6th Committee because they know their feet are going to be to the fire! It's time THIS Jan to start that Ball rolling with Hearing after Hearing!

Maybe FBI Director Christopher "Wicked" Wray doesn't have time to answer because he's using a taxpayer-funded private jet for vacation. People need to remember that he is one of the Top 10 Deep State Deep Swamp creatures in DC. Hey Hannity, any opinion on the Washington DC headquarters?

It is depressing to see an agency like the FBI become so corrupted.

The dems don't care about the reputation of their DOJ and FBI. This coming election, If they lose the house, and especially eventually the senate and WH, investigations will reveal the extensive corruption throughout D.C. It'll blow the lid off the dems malfeasance. Many people will be able to be convicted, and possibly face prison sentences.

I count three retired FBI employees as friends, one special agent, two investigators. IMO, the FBI is beyond redemption. All attempts at 'reform' will fail to root out the deep seated leftist bias which has become rooted after decades of corrupt officials, starting with Mueller in 2001, began hiring and promoting the corrupt, political folks to run things, and they hired and promoted more corrupt and political folks.
It will be impossible to root out these people after more than 20 years of a policy and plan of corruption and leftist politics.
Shut it down. We had NO FBI until the 1930s, and we got along just fine. Nowdays local and state police can communicate far better and work together regularly across state lines. I know local sheriff's deputies and police officers who have served on interstate task forces in the KC area, combining resources of both KS and MO as needed for criminals who work across the state lines in the metro area. This is a perfect model for future FBI-free state-driven law enforcement.
End the FBI, don't attempt to reform it.

Sorry for the double but I'm just too infuriated. The top 10 levels of the "Justice" Department need to do a couple years in solitary simply to get even. Gonna happen ? What do you think ?

Hearing many are being retaliated against for speaking out, which I'm sure is an employment issue and likely grounds for lawsuit against the individuals retaliating, as well as the department.
#5, I agree, they are also no longer the premier law enforcement agency in the country after diminishing their department over the past few decades.
And, who is able to reign-in, or control the FBI, after all?

the upper echelon of the "Bureau" is like a spoiled child, if you never tell them to stop doing something, they'll never stop doing what you don't want them to do

They're not violating policy if the policy is to attack conservatives.

the FBI is too far gone for reform. R's need to formulate better alternative while defunding FBI out of existence. rooting out evil will be stonewalled and will get nowhere. time for Plan B.

#1, I appreciate your optimism. I want to join in and have the hope that you do. However, I just can’t muster it up. Look what this wretched administration has done so far and tell me they are worried about anything. They have trampled the Constitution and rule of law in an effort to punish their opposition. They have politicized the DOJ and FBI. That is no small thing at the highest levels in government. That is an unprecedented act done out in the open. Have they faced any serious backlash? Have legal scholars rushed forward to condemn these acts? Yeah, no they have not. One or maybe two have made statements but there is no real outrage and certainly no real condemnation and that is because the democrat party is operating post-Constitutionally on purpose. They have abandoned our founding documents in favor of their own agenda. They can’t say this out loud, but they believe they don’t need no stinkin’ Constitution to get in their way. The only ones concerned with the rule of law and Constitutionality are Conservatives and some Republicans. They have government sewed up, the media as their propaganda arm, and a willing Stasi that is harassing any opposition. They have sent an clear message. These are not the acts of a party that fears defeat. These are the acts of a party who will do anything to retain their power and is confident. If we are able to defeat this cabal of communists, I will shout with joy. Divine intervention is what it is going to take to topple this regime. I can’t see another way to accomplish it. Pray big and pray hard.

For once I would adore hearing that these perps lavish federal pensions are rescinded as well…particularly those traitors like Lerner, Strock-Stroke-Smirk, Brennan and all that ilk. Wrist slapping and riding off into the sunset shouldn’t suffice for such demonic behavior.

You don't need to be an FBI insider to know that things were being done in the FBI that were illegal and politically motivated. They are operating that way right out in the open.

Yes, leave it for state and local police enforcement to handle things. Besides, it is a lot easier to keep an eye on their behavior and ethics, and much easier to weed out the occasional bad apples.

We're in agreement with all of the posters this morning especially DVC. You know who is especially angry and wants to shut down the FBI agency completely? Bongino! He's been on a tear all week about the corrupt FBI. He wants the FBI disbanded and the good agents spread around to other agencies. Bongino should know. He was in the Secret Service with Obama. He left without a pension/paycheck when he saw what was going on.

The FBI is corrupt. Obama corrupted the FBI as he did the Dept of Education, the Commerce Dept, Homeland Security, and every agency in the Federal Government including the Bureau of Census. Recall that damn creep move the Bureau into the White House...to give phony numbers. I.e. unemployment is 3% when in fact it was 7...the S.O.B. should be shot.

Exactly, #19! For those of you who may have missed Dan Bongino's 2-part interview with FBI whistleblower Kyle Seraphin, I checked it out last night and highly recommend it! I found it VERY revealing and compelling!
