Analysts: U.S. Weapons Stockpiles at ‘Dangerously

Bank of America analysts issued a report on Friday warning that America’s military support for Ukraine in the conflict with Russia has pushed United States military stockpiles to “dangerously low levels” not seen for decades. As part of $16.2 billion in support committed to Ukraine since Russia invaded in February, the Department of Defense (DoD) has sent approximately $8.4 billion worth of military equipment from its own weapons stockpiles through an authority known as “presidential drawdown.”(Snip)They forecasted that Raytheon Technologies (Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s employer before he become defense chief), Lockheed Martin, and General Dynamics are best positioned to benefit from the demands, given their experience in producing

If you're getting yourself involved, the general consensus is you fight with what you brought. And if the Russians start pushing out tactical nukes, what are NATO and the USA prepared to do about it? If the Russian front is indeed collapsing, which means Russian defeat, Putin is a dead man. He well knows that. Are you ready to play this game?

Maybe the IRS, FDA, and other cabinet departments can donate all the weapons and ammo they've purchased and stockpiled over the last several years.

I can't help but wonder what Ukraine has over FJB. He keeps throwing BILLIONS of dollars at them (with a huge amount being siphoned off by political cronies foreign and domestic), and tons of other equipment. Something on video, in writing, audio? I can't help but think that in a Swiss bank vault there is evidence that would bring down the Big Guy in a flash. He is sucking up to Ukraine way too much.

Inept Joe, just keep on emptying out the bank and the weapons storage facilities, until there is nothing left but dust. The when we need all of the above I doubt few countries will be there, and we have nothing left for our country, like you robbing the petroleum reserves to save face with your inflation problem, now there is an emergency and not much left for the people who need it. You are a short-sighted fool, who ought to be impeached. FJB

Well, America's wars tend to be electives. Wars of choice, rather than existential necessity. As I have had enough of America going to fight inconclusive wars on foreign soil, and there is no indication that Canada is massing an invasion force on our border, I really don't give a flying F if Ukraine fires all our GLMRS rockets at Russians. We don't have a need for those rockets.

Dems ALWAYS balk at paying for weapons stockpiles. This is why we literally ran out of bombs in Vietnam, and wound up digging out old WW2 production bombs. The sad thing was that they were not streamlined, intended for internal carriage in a B-17 or B-24, but when carried externally on a F-105 or F-4 caused massive added aerodynamic drag, shortening range. We eventually opened up the production lines and made more modern bombs. We'll do the same here, and the new ones will be improved models over a lot of stuff that has been in stockpile, aging literally and aging technologically. I'm still in favor of supplying Ukraine with whatever they need.

From interest rates to the weekly shop, the cost of living is rising faster than it has for decades. But the question is: has the price of happiness gone up as well? And if so, what can we do about it? Let’s set things straight. Yes, money matters for happiness. If you’ve ever had to choose between putting food on the table and paying the electricity bill, this is not news to you. While money is not a guarantee of happiness, being without money is a common cause of stress, worry and unhappiness.(Snip)This is what hygge is all about. Toyota Motor Corporation President Akio Toyoda told reporters Thursday that California’s ban on the sale of new gas-powered vehicles in 2035 will be “difficult” to achieve, given present battery technology and constraints facing the state’s electricity grid. As Fox News reported, Toyoda was reacting to the new mandate imposed by California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) and the powerful California Air Resources Board (CARB), which will require almost all new car sales to involve electric vehicles in just 12 years.(Snip)“Realistically speaking, it seems rather difficult to really achieve them,” Toyota Motor Corporation President Akio Toyoda told reporters through a translator on Thursday discussing California’s new mandates.

In an all-too-tellingly-empty stunt, Gov. Kathy Hochul last week ordered the state Department of Environmental Conservation to issue regulations banning the sale of gas-powered cars, pickups and SUVs by… 2035. It’s not just that she’ll be long gone by then, or that she was simply marking National Drive Electric Week by pretending to keep up with California’s similarly dubious 2035 only-electric rule. Nor that, as even The New York Times admits, electric cars are still far too expensive and impractical for all but the rich—with vast technological and industrial progress needed before they make sense even for the middle class. A woke liberal arts college has introduced a new masking policy that would require all students in a class to wear face masks if a single person requests them using an anonymous survey. Under the new policy at Amherst College in Massachusetts, each student and teacher would be provided an anonymous survey in which they could express their views on whether they want a mask mandate in their classroom. The new guidance was created by Catherine Epstein, provost and dean of faculty at the Massachusetts school, who wrote to her colleagues on September 29 that the new policy will go into effect on October 17.

A good example of more rational speculation is by Jed Babbin at the Spectator: He thinks Russia is the most likely suspect: Germany, Sweden, the United States, and other NATO nations would not have attacked the pipelines. There has been some speculation among U.S. conservatives that we were responsible for the pipeline attacks.
