Swimmer Who Raced Lia Thomas Says UPenn
Team Members Thanked Her for Speaking Out

A female University of Kentucky swimmer who competed against transgender athlete Lia Thomas’s participation in women’s swimming said Wednesday that many University of Pennsylvania team members expressed their gratitude for her advocacy for fairness in women’s sports. “I actually had a ton of Lia Thomas’ teammates reach out to me personally, and thank me for what I’m doing because this is something they deal with every single day,” Riley Gaines said, alongside Senator Rand Paul, during an appearance on Fox and Friends. “But of course, they’re intimidated, they’re threatened, they’re emotionally blackmailed.”

I don't mean to victim blame, but the ONLY resolution to this issue is for every girl to get out of the pool and let the guy do whatever he wants. The women themselves had to take care of this. Embarrass the school into doing the right thing by doing the right thing yourselves. Instead, they played along...and lost.

If one of my daughters was swimming for UPenn, I would advise them to transfer to another school. If it wants to swim by itself, then let it. I would love to see all of the women at an event step off the board if it steps up to race. Pretty soon, the NCAA will get the message if all of the women refuse to swim with it. By competing along side this sick individual, they are condoning the ruination of their sports...

Thomas is an unwelcome oaf, without morals or manners, and a person that does not respect others. There are many people, most in fact, that also have pronouns, the formal English edition, and cultures centuries old that should be respected. No one has to surrender their heritage and culture for someone else.

That is until Lia showed up in his one piece swim suit with a full bag of groceries and his untrimmed nether regions. No sympathy here gurlz! Ah...feminism ain't it great! You wanted it, you eat it.

I still say the best protest would have been for the women women, as they were in the starting positions, prepare to enter the pool on the command (I doubt they use starter pistols anymore for "safety: and anti-gun reasons). When the command was sounded, the women women would remain at those starting positions and the person imitiating as a woman would be the only swimmer. I could hear the complete silence that would fall over the venue as the only sound would be the person imitating as a woman going up and down the pool. Sadly, I assume that the "woke masters" of today's universities made it clear to the women women competing that no such action would be tolerated at the cost of their scholarships.

Some of the commenters here don't understand scholarships and how they work. Yes those girls should band together and condemn men in their area of sports. But if they do that they risk losing scholarships and having to leave school. So these girls, thanks to the idiots who run the schools, are between a rock and a very hard place.

I'm neither a US Supreme Court Justice nor a biologist but to my common sense and good vision I do know the difference between and man and a woman. The person named Lia Thomas is Michael Phelps with long hair completing with women. Human beings who are smaller, have less muscle mass, reaction time and endurance. That's not me being a so-called transphobe. It's me stating cold hard facts (you know those things the left hates). So I'm going to further make those same leftists even angrier by saying this. I'm glad that Ms. Riley Gaines finally spoke out about this utter nonsense. Also ANYONE who thinks that it's ok for men to participate in women's sports needs to have their head examined by a shrink ASAP.

A Winning Midterm Strategy for Republicans 4 replies

The GOP always has to deal with the shaft they get from the legacy media. While the “Commitment to America” (COA) may not go as far as many conservatives would like, it does contain some broadly popular policy prescriptions. Because Democrats and their stenographers in the press know this, they will downplay the details. However, the game Democrats and the media are playing is easy to see in a recent poll of likely voters. In partnership with the Trafalgar Group, Convention of States Action conducted a national survey to measure how likely voters perceived the case to vote for the GOP made by Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy when he unveiled the COA.

In contrast, at least five Fox News Channel shows cared to mention Biden’s decision to spend time raising money to put Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) out of office as his state faces one of the worst

I have been arguing that the political environment is much worse for Democrats than the current narrative suggests, and as the midterms approach that is starting to be reflected in the polls. And since the polls in recent years have significantly undercounted Republicans, things may be even worse for Democrats. We won’t know if the polls this year are as bad as those in recent elections, so I will refrain from adding my traditional 3+ points to Republican ratings. In the Wisconsin Senate and gubernatorial races things are looking really bad for Democrats. RealClearPolitics rates the race a “toss-up,” but the polls seem to indicate that is no longer

The politicization of the FBI is being implemented by the promotion of liberal agents into positions of authority and the punishment or dismissal of agents who support conservative causes, FBI insiders told The Washington Times. They said this institutionalizes a liberal bias in the upper ranks of the nation’s premier law enforcement agency. In one high-profile example, an FBI agent on duty demonstrated solidarity with Black Lives Matter marchers in Washington by “taking a knee” as the protesters passed. The agent was rewarded with a promotion to a supervisor rank.

The United States Senate passed a short-term government funding bill on Thursday after over two dozen Republicans crossed party lines to avert a shutdown. In an 72-25 vote, the Senate passed a funding measure meant to keep the government afloat until December 16. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said the more than two-month extension would allow lawmakers from both sides of the aisle one last chance at negotiating a year-long budget deal before the new Congress takes office in January. "Let's hope this is the last [stop gap], they do so we get an omnibus [budget] done in December," said Schumer, D-N.Y.

Hurricane Ian, a massive Category 4 storm, made landfall in Florida on Wednesday afternoon, but the worst may be yet to come with storm surges, massive power outages that could last for days, and major rainfall expected. During a press conference on Wednesday evening, Gov. Ron DeSantis warned that Floridians are still “in a very hazardous situation.” But he assured residents that the state
