The House GOP Just Made Their Final Midterm Pitch

Ahead of Friday's official announcement of the "Commitment to America" agenda, House Republicans' plans for the future show that GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy and his caucus are not shying away from the culture wars or avoiding diving into issues labeled "divisive" by Democrats. The House Republicans, hoping to retake the majority in November's midterms, rolled out the policy priorities they say will "create an economy that's strong, a nation that's safe, a future that's built on freedom, and a government that's accountable."

The Republicans would show US that they mean business by selecting a Speaker other than McCarthy. We need a proven conservative and fighter, not more of the same. McCarthy was Speaker when we lost the House; he needs to go! That's how it's done in the honest business world. Failure is not rewarded.

All they have to do is Get Behind President Trump All the Way. McCarthy, McConnell, and the RNC have lost me. Supporting RINOs just to have the numbers does not work. Kick out the RINOs!!

Paul Ryan was speaker in 2018 when the Republicans lost the House. McCarthy was second in command. The Republicans should have flipped the House in 2020 after the Covid shutdowns and Democrat Party riots that summer. McCarthy means well but doesn’t have the “fire in the belly” needed to rid the country of Democrat control.

They were absolutely, positively going to repeal Obamacare. They absolutely, positively affirm the sanctity of traditional marriage and oppose degrading it with such travesties as "same sex" marriage. They conserve nothing. They bend to every insane fad the left brings up though it might take them a couple of years to say so. Many of them are just dems who have run with an "R" after their names in order to get elected in their district but once in office they side with the left on important issues and only back off when openly confronted with their fraud and then only until the heat is off. Many are there because the job is easy and lucrative and they just want to feather their nests until they can retire on a fat income that they, themselves, voted in place. The few who actually are conservative never get anywhere because the frauds and place holders block them at every turn. All of this is just rhetoric until we see real movement to the right and that begins with installing new leadership that holds to actual principles.

My, how quickly the plot changes with just a single flight to Martha’s Vineyard! To be fair, the media’s interest in the border crisis began spiking upward before then, but not much before Ron DeSantis sent 50 illegal immigrants to the wealthy Massachusetts enclave. When buses began arriving in “sanctuary cities” like New York City and Washington DC, thanks to the efforts of DeSantis, Greg Abbott, and Doug Ducey, the media went into full freak-out mode. They excoriated these Republican governors endlessly, and still do.And you can guess what that did for public interest in the border crisis. Axios reports this morning that it has now eclipsed interest in abortion,

The passing of Queen Elizabeth II has filled the news for a couple of weeks, and one of the parlor discussions regarding her funeral ceremony involved whether former President Donald Trump was snubbed from attending, either by the Royal family or by current President Joe Biden. As it turns out, there was no backroom drama concerning the appearance, as a US embassy official has clarified that the heavy interest and select seating meant that only Biden and his wife would be in attendance. This, of course, did not prevent speculation in the press, both regarding Trump being allegedly blocked and what political maneuvering Biden might have employed

President Biden has issued nearly 100 executive orders, which will cost taxpayers up to $1.5 trillion, as the national debt nears $31 trillion, according to an expert. Biden currently sits at 99 executive orders since taking office. His torrent pace came primarily within his first year, when he issued more than any president since the 1970s. Memos show at least one outside left-wing group financed by millions from liberal billionaire George Soros has influenced some of Biden's orders and regulatory items. A budgetary impact analysis, meanwhile, accompanies each order but does not include actual monetary costs. Instead, they contain vague language such as whether

There were a couple of eye-raising moments this weekend during an interview of President Joe Biden and CBS’ “60 Minutes.” One was his continued blanket denial that his son Hunter had done anything that had any impact on him or the country. However, it was the President sudden announcement that the pandemic “is over” that may have taken some people by surprise, including Administration lawyers still using the pandemic as a basis for policies and programs. This includes a major appellate case this week. The Administration relied on the pandemic to justify the massive loan forgiveness

The desperate attempts by the White House, congressional Democrats, and the corporate media to refocus voter attention on abortion rather than inflation are failing. Most reputable polls show that the electorate is far more concerned about mismanagement of the economy by President Biden and his collaborators in Congress than about threats to reproductive rights posed by “MAGA Republicans.” Contrary to Democratic hopes, November won’t be about abortion vs. inflation. The midterms will be a referendum on Biden’s performance, particularly as it affects inflation.

Senators negotiating a new, bipartisan version of a bill protecting same-sex marriage — and hoping to gain enough GOP support — say they have finished their work, potentially clearing the way for a pivotal test vote next week. Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) told reporters the group of five senators hashing out changes designed to clarify religious freedom safeguards finished up on Wednesday. She and Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.) expect the text of the legislation to be released on Thursday. That would allow Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer to set up a vote as early as Monday on a modified version of the measure that passed the House in July.

The Senate race between Republican Herschel Walker and Democrat Senator Raphael Warnock is turning out to be a squeaker. This race is one of the marquee Senate races of the 2022 midterms. A win for the Republican candidate in the Senate race in Georgia would mean a change from Democrat control to Republican control of the Senate.Anything can happen in the last weeks of a political campaign but in this race, Walker looks to have the momentum. Barely. Right now RCP’s aggregate average shows Walker leading Warnock by +0.5. A recent Emerson College Polling survey found that Walker is up over Warnock by 46 to 44 percent.

We saw in our earlier report about the inflation numbers that the news was not good for the American consumer — that core CPI went up sharply in August, even with gas prices dropping. That’s not a good sign and an indication that the rosy picture that the Biden team would like to paint of inflation is not reality. The report has many economists concerned, and stock futures took a tumble Tuesday morning at the news, as the markets reacted to the new CPI data. Economists had predicted a lower annual inflation rate for August, and the 8.3 percent finding sent future tied to the S&P 500 down 1.4 percent,

It may seem like ages ago, but only ten days have passed since President Joe Biden decided to use Independence Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to declare war on half the country. Mr. Unity is dead—never having any chance to bring together a nation with an agenda that only favors the ‘woke,’ educated, and wealthy. In other words, people who live on the coasts and in cities. The other side is that he could never articulate his intentions since he’s dementia ridden. When Biden can enunciate with the help of drugs, it consistently demonizes people who didn’t vote for him. That reached a boiling point with this September 3 address.

While most were respecting the anniversary of 9/11 on Sunday, John Fetterman held a pro-abortion rally at which he introduced himself as “John Fetterwoman.” Do you get it? He’s just so darn clever! The House on Wednesday passed a bill to reform the Electoral Count Act in ways Liz Cheney and other proponents say would clarify that the vice president's role in counting electoral votes is purely ceremonial, and is meant to head off future efforts to try to overturn election results. It cleared the chamber on a mostly party-line vote, 229-203, with nine Republicans joining all Democrats to vote for it, even as Republican leaders 'whipped' against the bill. The far-left state of California further embraced neo-paganism this week when Democrat Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a bill into law allowing the practice of composting dead human beings to better combat climate change. Citing the high CO2 emissions associated with cremation, the bill will give people the option to give their dead remains over to a process known as natural organic reduction (NOR) should they not want to be buried or cremated. “The process involves placing the body inside a long, reusable steel container along with wood chips and flowers to aerate it – allowing microbes and bacteria to break down the remains,” according to the Daily Mail.

The end is near. For Putin’s military options in Ukraine, that is. Wednesday in Moscow, Putin said he will call up reservists and hold political referenda in captured Ukrainian territory. And yet again, he threatened to use nuclear weapons if Russian territory is in danger. Despite the scary language, Putin is not fooling anybody in NATO. Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg lost no time pointing out that Russia doesn’t have enough weapons to equip more troops. White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby immediately said the speech showed Putin was struggling. And at the UN, President Biden denounced Putin’s war. The slide presentation titled, "Diversity & Inclusion: What it is, why we care, & what we can do," obtained by Fox News Digital, advises cadets to use "person-centered" and gender-neutral language when describing individuals. "Some families are headed by single parents, grandparents, foster parents, two moms, two dads, etc.: consider ‘parent or caregiver’ instead of ‘mom and dad,'" the presentation states.
