The Senate race between Republican Herschel Walker and Democrat Senator Raphael Warnock is turning out to be a squeaker. This race is one of the marquee Senate races of the 2022 midterms. A win for the Republican candidate in the Senate race in Georgia would mean a change from Democrat control to Republican control of the Senate.Anything can happen in the last weeks of a political campaign but in this race, Walker looks to have the momentum. Barely. Right now RCP’s aggregate average shows Walker leading Warnock by +0.5. A recent Emerson College Polling survey found that Walker is up over Warnock by 46 to 44 percent.

Warnock only wants to debate way after many people have voted (or in some cases, had their votes cast for them). Used to be candidates didn't want late debates because they were worried they couldn't recover from a debate flub (see Carter, 1980). Now they want them late hoping that they can turn out lots of early votes before they have to actually take a position on something in a debate.

Herschel, just keep pointing to Warnock's voting record. Lock step with Biden. Then point out what a mess the country is in. Let the voters connect the dots.

The desperate attempts by the White House, congressional Democrats, and the corporate media to refocus voter attention on abortion rather than inflation are failing. Most reputable polls show that the electorate is far more concerned about mismanagement of the economy by President Biden and his collaborators in Congress than about threats to reproductive rights posed by “MAGA Republicans.” Contrary to Democratic hopes, November won’t be about abortion vs. inflation. The midterms will be a referendum on Biden’s performance, particularly as it affects inflation.

Senators negotiating a new, bipartisan version of a bill protecting same-sex marriage — and hoping to gain enough GOP support — say they have finished their work, potentially clearing the way for a pivotal test vote next week. Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) told reporters the group of five senators hashing out changes designed to clarify religious freedom safeguards finished up on Wednesday. She and Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.) expect the text of the legislation to be released on Thursday. That would allow Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer to set up a vote as early as Monday on a modified version of the measure that passed the House in July.

We saw in our earlier report about the inflation numbers that the news was not good for the American consumer — that core CPI went up sharply in August, even with gas prices dropping. That’s not a good sign and an indication that the rosy picture that the Biden team would like to paint of inflation is not reality. The report has many economists concerned, and stock futures took a tumble Tuesday morning at the news, as the markets reacted to the new CPI data. Economists had predicted a lower annual inflation rate for August, and the 8.3 percent finding sent future tied to the S&P 500 down 1.4 percent,

Good luck with that. Mayor Craig Johnson of Elk Grove Village, Illinois wants an apology from Governor Pritzker for bussing 90 illegal migrants to the Chicago suburb on very little notice or advance planning. Chicago, a sanctuary city, has received buses from Texas and Arizona to ease the Biden border crisis.Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot is having a meltdown over the buses arriving in Chicago. Her city is the nation’s third largest and yet she acts as though a small number of new arrivals to Chicago will be too much of a burden for city resources. She sent 64 illegal migrants to Burr Ridge, Illinois last week after a bus

It may seem like ages ago, but only ten days have passed since President Joe Biden decided to use Independence Hall in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to declare war on half the country. Mr. Unity is dead—never having any chance to bring together a nation with an agenda that only favors the ‘woke,’ educated, and wealthy. In other words, people who live on the coasts and in cities. The other side is that he could never articulate his intentions since he’s dementia ridden. When Biden can enunciate with the help of drugs, it consistently demonizes people who didn’t vote for him. That reached a boiling point with this September 3 address.

While most were respecting the anniversary of 9/11 on Sunday, John Fetterman held a pro-abortion rally at which he introduced himself as “John Fetterwoman.” Do you get it? He’s just so darn clever! Members of the press were also enamored with the fact that he shook hands with those waiting outside to get into the event. He’s a true man of the people, doing things that no other politician does.Of course, the videos of the event tell a far different story. I’ve written on some of Fetterman’s past public appearances (see here and here), and needless to say, they haven’t been encouraging given the situation with his health. This latest

Georgia Democrats are wringing their hands about the lackluster performance of their gubernatorial candidate, Stacey Abrams, in her long-anticipated rematch with incumbent Republican Gov. Brian Kemp. They kept their worries to themselves until the New York Times ran a story last Wednesday that highlighted complaints by local Democrats that she hasn’t bothered to reach out to crucial constituencies. It appears that Abrams, having been showered by obsequious media coverage since Kemp defeated her in 2018, was overconfident about her chances of beating him this year and took her base supporters for granted.

There’s a perception, perhaps rooted in some reality, that Republicans have nominated a mediocre at best group of candidates — a celebrity doctor, a hillbilly-turned-author, a 1980s football star, and a millennial venture capitalist — in this year’s crucial U.S. Senate elections. As GOP candidates try to remedy their predicaments, the Democrat candidates hope to avoid being linked to President Joe Biden’s lackluster job approval ratings and keep control of the upper chamber. It’s not impossible, but results from the last few election cycles show that it’s unlikely. It’s true that FiveThirtyEight’s election model currently favors Democrats to hold the Senate in two months,

It's good to be a Democrat. You get favorable treatment by the U.S. Department of Justice -- especially when it comes to the handling, or mishandling, of classified information. You get to evade prosecution and early morning raids by dozens of armed FBI agents at your home, like what happened to former President Donald Trump last month. And then, years later if you're Hillary Clinton, you get to rewrite history, spread misinformation to your millions of Twitter followers and not get censored or banned by Big Tech, which holds conservatives to a totally different standard than the left on its biased platforms.

I am a lifelong Democrat. I even worked for Joe Biden at one time. Thus, nothing that has happened in America since January 2021 has surprised me. But the president’s speech in Philadelphia last week marked a new low for America and a new low for a party that I once idolized. To me, the Democratic Party was the party of hope, tolerance, and opportunity. Indeed, those themes echoed through Bill Clinton’s speeches in 1992. Clinton’s presidency was the high-water mark of the post-war Democratic Party. He blended JFK’s idealism with Reagan’s folksiness. He embodied America’s middle class, the greatest political force

He is also an MD. Steve Deace asked Dr. Risch what was the biggest lie of the last 29 months of COVID pandemic. Dr. Risch says it was the lies about hydroxychloroquine in treating COVID 19. The FDA hid the evidence that HCQ was effective in the early treatment of the disease. Hundreds of thousands of people died as a result of this lie. The CDC-FDA officials promoted the questionable experimental vaccines instead and this helped Big Pharma make billions.

The battle of life calls forth three noble and healthful psychological attributes: loyalty to kin and country; honor of work that protects and promotes survival; and, most fundamental to mental health, gratitude for the gift of life itself. Spirituality is always practical, and practicality is inherently spiritual, because they share the vital functions of protecting life and promoting full humanness. Loyalty to kin and country is essential to survival. Honoring those who labor in the many aspects of service is natural justice.
