The percentage of Americans who are refusing to get a vaccine for the Chinese coronavirus is remaining consistent, as nearly three in ten have yet to receive a single jab for the virus, a poll from The Economist/YouGov found. The survey found that 28 percent have not received any coronavirus jab from any manufacturer, compared to 72 percent who said they have. What is more, 58 percent indicated that they are at least triple vaccinated. However, it appears that those who are unvaccinated will remain so, as 66 percent said they do to plan on getting any shots, followed by 16 percent who said they “might” and nine percent

Albany—New York is making it easier for public servants to get relief from student loans. Gov. Hochul signed a bill into law Thursday that expands student debt relief to include more teachers and school faculty and will simplify eligibility rules for a soon-to-expire federal loan forgiveness program.“When you think about people crushed under the weight of student debt, you know, student debt doesn’t just defer your dreams,” the governor said during a signing ceremony at Borough of Manhattan Community College.(Snip)“We’ve removed bureaucratic barriers, making it easier for those who selflessly chose careers in public service to apply for relief before the limited PSLF Waiver

The city Department of Education has axed another 850 teachers and classroom aides—bringing the total to nearly 2,000 school employees fired for failure to comply with a vaccine mandate increasingly struck down in court. About 1,300 DOE employees who took a year’s unpaid leave—with benefits—agreed to show proof of COVID vaccination by Sept. 5 or be “deemed to have voluntarily resigned.” Of those staffers, 450 got a shot by the deadline and “are returning to their prior schools or work locations,” DOE officials told The Post. They include some 225 teachers and 135 paraprofessionals. The 850 let go makes roughly 1,950 DOE staffers terminated since the vaccine mandate

Rep. Henry Cuellar said Saturday he disagreed with Vice President Kamala Harris‘s assessment that the southern border is secure, citing his border district’s experience with the influx of migrants into the United States. The Texas Democrat cited the thousands of people that come across the border per day, as well as more than four million people reported as crossing the border in the past two years. “The border is not secure, with all due respect to the VP,” Mr. Cuellar told CNN. “We get thousands of people along the border, at least 6 to 8 thousand people a day.” The congressman added: “You’re talking about almost 4 plus, maybe 4.4

Senator Ted Cruz branded Joe Biden 'the biggest human trafficker on the face of the planet' as the war over GOP governors moving illegal immigrants to liberal cities and areas escalates. During an appearance on Fox’s Hannity Friday night, the GOP lawmaker said: 'The Democrats did not think it was a humanitarian crisis when we pulled over 50 bodies and body bags out of a truck in Texas of illegal immigrants who died because the smugglers let them die of heat exposure. ‘And yet suddenly, 50 illegal immigrants show up in lily white Martha's Vineyard, where rich liberals and billionaires sip Chardonnay. And it is World War III.'

Party-loving Mayor Eric Adams—who said this week that the city’s shelters are near a “breaking point” as they deal with incoming migrants—was spotted Thursday night at the highly exclusive, members-only jazz club at the newly opened Aman NY. We’re assuming he found few, if any, migrants there. “He was sitting in the center of the room with a group of people,” says a spy, who notes that founding members splashed out $100,000 to join the club. We’re told one of these people was his controversial pal, convicted money launderer Zhan “Johnny” Petrosyants. “Guess tonight there’s no migrant issue if he’s sitting at the fanciest new club,”

New Orleans overtook St. Louis as the US murder capital in the first half of this year, as the city struggles with its lowest police staffing level in modern history amid a crisis of officer morale.
In the first six months of 2022, New Orleans recorded 41 murders per 100,000 population, a higher homicide rate than any other US city, according to a Wall Street Journal analysis of data from the Major Cities Chiefs Association. By comparison, the first-half murder rate per 100,000 was 11.5 in Chicago, 4.8 in Los Angeles and 2.4 in New York City. In New Orleans, the homicide rate has soared 141 percent compared with

President Biden on Friday came clean, during a visit to the White House by South African President Cyril Ramaphosa—admitting, “I wasn’t arrested” trying to visit Nelson Mandela, despite saying so at least three times in 2020. But Biden proceeded to tell Ramaphosa that he was “stopped” trying to visit Mandela—a claim that also has faced withering fact-checks and contradiction even from Biden supporters. Biden admitted that his past remarks were untrue while welcoming Ramaphosa to the Oval Office.(Snip)Biden then fessed up, “And I said once—I said I got arrested. I wasn’t arrested, I got stopped, prevented from moving. But he was extremely gracious.”

President Biden said the U.S. and South Africa have the 'same value set' during a meeting with corrupt South African president Cyril Ramaphosa in the Oval Office on Friday. Ramaphosa's government has remained neutral in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, and the African president himself has been accused of stealing millions of dollars. 'United States and South Africa and your government have the same value set,' Biden said. 'I've long been inspired by the long struggle for freedom and justice.' 'South Africa has quite a voice on the world stage,' Biden added.(Snip)A lot is happening around the world,' Biden said, before press were ushered out of the room.

New York City officials are going to fly out migrants to Florida after claiming many of them did not want to come to the Big Apple.
The Commissioner of Immigration Affairs for the city says that a lot of the migrants being bussed from Texas by Gov Greg Abbott are coming from Venezuela. Manuel Castro claims that the majority of illegal immigrants that have arrived to New York want to go to Florida because of their large community of Venezuelans. His comments come just days after Mayor Eric Adams was seen with celebrities during New York Fashion Week, shortly after telling reporters that the cities shelters were at ‘breaking point’.

Less than half of Americans can name the three branches of the federal government—executive, legislative and judicial—according to an annual survey of civics knowledge conducted for the Constitution Day holiday on Saturday. Respondents to the Annenberg Public Policy Center’s survey also had little understanding of the impact of a Supreme Court ruling, and few could enumerate the freedoms guaranteed by the First Amendment. “My impression is that even in prestigious universities, maybe 30% of all students could pass the civics test required of incoming immigrants,” said Joseph Ellis, a Pulitzer Prize-winning constitutional historian.(Snip)One-quarter of respondents could not name even one branch of the federal government,

In a dark skirt suit and a bright blouse, Lania Boone stood before a federal judge on Friday and apologized. She admitted to being part of the scheme that allowed Jason Lary, then the mayor of Stonecrest, to pocket COVID-19 relief funds meant to help local businesses and churches. She admitted to then taking kickbacks from Lary. She asked for mercy. “I am incredibly saddened,” Boone said, “and I deeply regret every ounce of damage that this situation has caused.”
At that, she broke down crying.(Snip)Boone, the wife of Stonecrest’s now-former economic development director, had already pleaded guilty to the single count of federal program theft,
Comments:
The same value set as in hating White people? That's reasonable, but Biden bragging about unprecedented corruption on a level a South African could never achieve is very bad form.
