Your dreams have come true, kids: French fries and pizza are now good for you, so eat up, or else: if you don’t, you might be suspected of “white supremacism.” If you thought things couldn’t possibly get any crazier, forget it: a “nutritionist” has proclaimed that “nutrition standards are rooted in whiteness,” and so like Robert E. Lee and Bull Connor, they’ve got to go. Nor is the nutritionist in question, Kéra Nyemb-Diop, some nut raving on the streetcorner; she works for Mondelez International, which is so concerned about nutrition that it produces Oreos and Chips Ahoy!.

Comments:

Soooooo . . . does this mean Michelle Obama is a racist for pushing her school lunch plan??

#3, I believe you are on to something. The left wants us lazy, unmotivated physically and mentally, and tuned into to the toxic and hypnotic lure of social media. I believe it becomes addictive to us because human beings are social creatures and exploring different communities appeals to our sense of personal adventure. It can also be the lure of evil and that becomes apparent when you spend any time checking it out. Children and young teens are especially vulnerable and adults are not exempt from the dark side of connecting with the world. We are easily distracted and infinitely able to be influenced. It is the nature of human beings. However, we must guard ourselves because there is an evil that will consume your mind and soul if you are not aware of its dangers. The left wants is distracted and lethargic. This obsession for the internet is not much different than the free flowing vodka that was used to lull Russians into compliance. Guard your children and yourselves.

Re #8, GO Sonny's! When we went off to college, the first Sonny's had just opened up, and although we couldn't afford to eat there very often as students, we did go there enough for the original one on Waldo Road to become a favorite. 50+ years later there are many in Florida and Georgia. Whenever we are visiting Florida, or passing through south Georgia, if a Sonny's is nearby....we stop there for old times sake.

If establishing nutrition standards grows from whiteness, Mister Kéra, what grows from YOUR nature? Near as I can tell, instead of a planned, plowed, planted, and tended garden, your vision is for a vacant lot overgrown with weeds and littered with waste and used syringes. Return your "whiteness" obsession to Customer Service (provided THAT isn't also rooted in the same "whiteness"...

Back in the 1970s, at my university where I was a student, a cultural anthropologist, female, did a study of inner city black women, funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF.) The NSF wanted to know why black women are disproportionately obese. They also wanted to know what the women, on welfare, did all day. The anthropologist talked with me about her findings. And here they are. Black women on welfare tended to sleep in each morning. During the daytime, they watched TV soap operas (back in those days, the three networks ran soaps from noon to 4 P.M.) What else did they do? Most smoked marijuana during their waking hours, and partied almost every night. As for the obesity, she concluded that it was not so much diet as it was lack of exercise. I asked the professor how she thought the NSF would react to her findings. She looked at me, smiling, and said she could not honestly report her findings - that to do so would be a betrayal of her research subjects.

Steve Deace recently interviewed Dr. Harvey Risch, Professor Emeritus of Epidemiology at the Yale School of Public Health. Dr. Risch’s work has been cited nearly 50,000 times in journals and studies. He is also an MD. Steve Deace asked Dr. Risch what was the biggest lie of the last 29 months of COVID pandemic. Dr. Risch says it was the lies about hydroxychloroquine in treating COVID 19. The FDA hid the evidence that HCQ was effective in the early treatment of the disease. Hundreds of thousands of people died as a result of this lie. The CDC-FDA officials promoted the questionable experimental vaccines instead and this helped Big Pharma make billions.

There’s nothing like a useless, symbolic stunt to make a point. We know that leftists love to resort to symbolic actions, but you know who else does? Vegans. From those silly PETA billboards to protesters dressing like animals, the vegans love to try to convert meat eaters to their cause, often to little or no avail. Their latest stunt is a hoot: placing roses on top of packages of meat in grocery stores. Apparently, these roses are supposed to represent the flowers that mourners place on graves. A planned stunt to disrupt the funeral for Queen Elizabeth II by a climate activist group was reportedly foiled earlier this week by London’s Metropolitan Police. According to a source from within the Met, a man tried to conduct a “waterborne reconnaissance mission” with a Go-Pro camera attached to his head as he paddled on a float in the no-go area of the River Thames outside the Houses of Parliament. Police suspected that the man, believed to be a member of either Extinction Rebellion or a similar extreme green agenda group, was filming to plan out a route for his fellow-travellers to clandestinely reach Westminster Hall

Sept. 17th is Constitution Day. There will be little fanfare and no parades or fireworks. It’s now fashionable to criticize this document as a relic of the past. But these critics overlook its ongoing vitality. While our founding charter draws from and builds upon ancient wisdom, it still offers a roadmap to our future—if we as a nation would rededicate ourselves to its precepts. William F. Buckley, Jr., once described conservatives as “those who stand athwart history yelling ‘stop!’” We might similarly define today’s constitutionalists as those who stand amidst political turmoil yelling “read!” Take the case of 303 Creative v Elenis,

Well, now. As radical federal judges across America continue to undo conservative programs and initiatives, including much of the work of the Trump administration, the state of Montana has defied a court order on transgender birth certificates. Could this be a model for other conservative states? Maybe so. The left is fond of its “Resist” slogan. It’s past time for conservatives to resist, as well — in earnest. Just hours after a Montana judge blocked health officials from enforcing a state rule that would prevent transgender people from changing the gender on their birth certificate, as reported by AP, the Republican-run state on Thursday said it would defy the order.

They’re missing the point, though. Seeking to prove that Trump did nothing wrong in possessing these documents is like trying to establish that the victims of Stalin’s show trials weren’t in fact Trotskyites. Well, of course they weren’t. But Stalin didn’t care if his enemies – perceived or real – were Trotskyites or “counter-revolutionaries.” What mattered to him was that they were his enemies.

The battle of life calls forth three noble and healthful psychological attributes: loyalty to kin and country; honor of work that protects and promotes survival; and, most fundamental to mental health, gratitude for the gift of life itself. Spirituality is always practical, and practicality is inherently spiritual, because they share the vital functions of protecting life and promoting full humanness. Loyalty to kin and country is essential to survival. Honoring those who labor in the many aspects of service is natural justice. The foundation of mental health is the experience of gratitude for the gift of life. Gratitude is the beautiful background music of life.
