Businesses in one of the trendiest sections of San Francisco are threatening to withhold tax payments unless the city takes action in removing homeless people from the area, claiming that their presence has hurt their bottom line.
The Castro Merchants Association, an umbrella group representing some local 125 businesses in the Castro District, wrote a letter to city officials earlier this month outlining their demands, according to SFGATE.
The group wants the city to allocate 35 shelter beds for “mentally ill and substance-abusing individuals who have taken up residence in the Castro.”

There is a place right in the middle of the bay that is perfect for setting up a homeless shelter. Alcatraz.

So many respondents say" you voted for it so enjoy it". I'm not so sure anymore. With election fraud the one thing Dems are really good at, I have an easier time believing it's what the voting machines voted for, and who control the machines? Radical Dems and the deep state control the machines. Like here in Washington state, it's only mail-in ballots and only counted by "machines". Notice Washington is now a far left "utopia" with no Conservatives or Republicans in meaningful offices? People say we "voted for this" but we didn't. One county. King, controls everything. It's like little San Fransisco or little LA. King county controls the entire state of Washington. It's the bastion of hell and it spreads like a cancer.

You get that for which you vote. Beds for 35 might clear one street corner for a short time. This was a problem for San Francisco ten years ago so why didn't you move out while your business was still worth something?
I suggest repurposing Alcatraz Island as an isolated, self-contained homeless shelter for all of them.

In the Castro District? Other than a place to sneak a peak at perverts, the homeless and need to dodge piles of shite just add to the area for passing tourists - all two of them.

Shelter beds for the criminals? What they need are jail cells.

You don't have to pay taxes. They'll just print it anyway.

#8 you're correct. After I had all my saving and checking accounts drained empty by hackers, I no long use any online banking. They want a "cashless" society but until they can absolutely guarantee NO online banking fraud can occur, I'll keep my real cash. If someone wants to steal my money, they'll at least have to rob me face to face to get it. At least that way they'll have to make a real effort. Robbing people via the internet takes no effort and they never get caught.

No, they didn’t “all” vote for it. Be serious. Anyone with a functioning brain knows that majority rules and too often that is a razor-thin majority. On the wrong side. The rest just have to live with it. But maybe not...
What they are talking about doing is an excellent idea. Protest with $$$.

Once again, here is the basic truth about California voters. It is interesting that the details show Republican registrations up this time, but the Dems continue to grow as well. So do the No Party Preference voters. Here is the quick and dirty. Details at link:
Democratic 46.77%
Republican 23.93%
No Party Preference 22.71%
Other 6.59%

Will any driveby take a look? Easier to say “they voted for it; they deserve it” or some dumb thing like “well, move”...

Will the GOP in California actively spend time and money to capitalize on such concerns, and point the blame at today's Progressive Democrat party?
Unfortunately, CA has mastered the massive government scheme which nearly ensures those working in any/every government position votes to maintain that system by voting Democrat - any Democrat.
Republicans are viewed as too conservative for CA, which is true for most of the candidates the GOP runs in the state.
But they are also viewed as wanting to take away programs and benefits for all of those who work in government, and receive benefits.
The CA GOP has not figured out how to message properly, and run the correct candidates who can win in a left-leaning state.

You all voted for it so enjoy! If the government isn't providing the service they promised . . . . in this case a civilized neighborhood . . . . why pay them?
