Jersey Shore pier in shape of cross in
deeply religious town raises concerns

Original Article

A beach pier in Ocean Grove destroyed during Superstorm Sandy is being rebuilt by a local religious organization, but the new shape has some residents concerned it too closely resembles a cross. Members of the small seaside town’s LGTBQ+ community and allies are saying the cross crosses a line, but many are afraid to voice their grievances with the Camp Meeting Association, said Douglas Grote, a local resident and retired Presbyterian pastor.

Comments:

The LGBQRST crowd and other ‘Progressive’ Leftists react to the sight of a Cross the same way Dracula does. This is NOT a coincidence.

A straight dock looks too much like a D***, so I HAVE a problem with that. People got to just tell these freaks to go find another pier and jump off of it.

Oh my God!! In the shape of a Cross! We must tear up street intersections and make sure that streets cross (oh my God I said that word!) at something other than 90 degree angles. These poor peepull will feel all ill at ease at every red light.

So, the malibu pier is in the shape of a long phallic symbol. I'd rather see a cross. Besides, a cross only has spiritual meaning if you impart spirituality onto it....otherwise it is just two lines that intersect at right angles.

Christian Nationalism is the new Boogie Man for the leftists. Any symbol of Christianity will be called Christian Nationalism and attempts will be made to remove it from public view. You don't want drag queens in the schools and libraries? You are a Christian Nationalist. You don't want children being given body altering drugs and body mutilating surgeries? So, a cross shaped fishing pier will make us all fishers of men also? Even so, it appears to be a much more practical and durable fishing and recreational pier than one going straight out to sea.

An LGBTQ activist is feeling afraid of and bullied by...a pier going out into the ocean? I think this person has bigger issues than a pier if he is afraid of a structure. Are lesbians afraid of the Empire State Building because it looks like and erect man part? Are others afraid and bullied by London's The Gherkin because it looks like a big vibrator? Nope, because we realize that they are buildings/structures and pose no threat to our sexual identity. LGBTQ activists need to get over themselves and stop being offended by everything.

It says both plain-clothed or uniformed police need to keep at least 100 feet from polling stations or drop boxes.

That’s a relevant fact because the movie bombed at the box office. Coincidentally or not, the movie has an openly gay subtext as one of the main male characters crushes on another boy. Under the program, known as “Shelter-in-Place” (SIP), hotels were used to move homeless people off the streets for fear of spreading the coronavirus in tent cities. Ironically, as COVID became better understood, officials began recommending against clearing homeless encampments, because the virus spread less easily outdoors.
