Is the FBI even doing counterintelligence
cases any more?

Paul Sperry at RealClearInvestigations has broken an interesting story about the nature of the FBI's August 4 raid on President Trump's residence in Mar-a-Lago, Florida: It's the same guys doing it now as the ones who cooked up the earlier string of Russia hoaxes. Sperry reports: The FBI division overseeing the investigation of former President Trump's handling of classified material at his Mar-a-Lago residence is also a focus of Special Counsel John Durham's investigation of the bureau's alleged abuses of power and political bias during its years-long Russiagate probe of Trump.

Comments:

Maybe if they did some counterintelligence cases, the public wouldn't view them as a Gestapo.

FTA: "How probable is it that under random conditions, Trump would turn up as the topic of investigation on so many very different fronts? And these are big investigations, costing thousands, or millions, of dollars in manpower and investigative resources." Remember, there is no UNIPARTY. It's those commie Democrats, that's who it is, you know. The Republicans will save us after November...Red Tsunami and all that. COVIDS apparently makes it impossible for some to smell the coffee. The Federal intel and law enforcement agencies are indeed engaged in protecting the national interest. It's just a matter of how one defines those interests. #1 interest is to completely erase Donald J. Trump from national politics - he's bad for commie Dem business, and for GOPe business, too. And who's paying for all this? Look in a mirror... The simple truth is this cannot end until FPDT is obliterated politically. Too much already invested. That can best be accomplished by indictments, perp walks, trials, and imprisonment. And the American public will continue to keep its powder dry...on advice from all those "real conservative" pundits. One wonders if by now Rush may not have hit his "panic point". Napoleon's not being allowed back from Elbe this time.

The FBI leadership surely understands that Trump must go down, since he would obviously clean house were he to elected again. Same fur other Dept’s of the deep state. The deep state has never had a President to hold them accountable. That is why they are so afraid of and hate Trump. They will frame him if necessary.

Ever notice that they never say why President Trump is so dangerous? My guess, they know he will likely expose them, and a lot of this looks to have been elevated during the administration just prior. Any wonder why the National Archives allowed that administration to simply take all of the documents they wanted, then paid the National Archives $3.5 million as part of a "loan" for the documents with the intention they would scan them all so they'd be part of the Presidential Library in Chicago? Good chance some of those documents are during the transition months and would include the meetings held during that time.

The FBi was at Mar-a-Lago, and Trump has admitted to speaking to them. The lying to the FBI charge is coming next.

Border walls, who needs border walls? Apparently, only Joe Biden does, the rest of us can go without. According to a furious editorial by the New York Post: President Joe Biden is all for open borders — except when it comes to the one around his own vacation spot. He’s stuck taxpayers with a bill for close to half a million for a security fence around his Delaware beach house, a project ongoing since last September, contracted out to a local builder by the Department of Homeland Security. The irony is rich: The same agency Biden has used to help erase the US southern border is overseeing a wall

The forty-two seconds of the Rumble video embedded below are truly shocking. Courageous journalist Sharyl Attkisson testifies to a congressional hearing about the depths to which the FBI has sunk in its attempts to discredit one of its most effective critics. In case you don't know, while she was working as a reporter for CBS, Ms. Attkisson's work and home computers were invaded and taken over by the FBI, evidently because she had incurred their ire over her reporting. You can watch the CBS report on the incursion here:

Has the Border Patrol gone from a guardian of America's borders to a valet service for illegals? Sure looks like it, given what Fox News's Bill Melugin and Adam Shaw observed in Eagle Pass, Texas, on Wednesday: Border Patrol agents on Wednesday opened a gate that had previously been locked by members of the Texas National Guard, in order to allow a number of illegal immigrants deeper into the United States. Fox News witnessed members of the guard close and lock the gate, which is situated on private property and had previously been open, to deny entry to migrants who had crossed illegally and were expecting to be allowed into the U.S.

Is someone trying to get us away from our rosaries? Sure looks like it, with The Atlantic's out-of-the-blue hit piece on, of all things, the rosary. Here's the alarm: Just as the AR-15 rifle has become a sacred object for Christian nationalists in general, the rosary has acquired a militaristic meaning for radical-traditional (or “rad trad”) Catholics. On this extremist fringe, rosary beads have been woven into a conspiratorial politics and absolutist gun culture. These armed radical traditionalists have taken up a spiritual notion that the rosary can be a weapon in the fight against evil and turned it into something dangerously literal.

Is nothing sacred to the left? Suddenly, St. Joan of Arc has been rewritten into a transgender icon, according to wokester elites in the arts, who've decided to culturally expropriate the Catholic saint and national patroness of France for the god of transgenderism on multiple fronts. They've even expropriated from the title of Robert Graves's most famous book, I, Claudius. Instead of being the Maid of Orleans, the Liberator of France, and a great symbol of feminine chastity, beauty, innocence and courage, she's now some creature whose bravery consists of contemplating her genitals and displaying her wokeness in the trendy new definition of heroism.
Tijuana goes into lockdown after cars

Many Tijuana residents took shelter Friday evening after burning vehicles appeared throughout the city in what is suspected to be a coordinated act of organized crime. At least 19 vehicles, including both privately-owned and public transport, were ignited in different cities in the state of Baja California, according to local authorities, and in some cases blocked the roadways. Similar vehicle fires were used earlier in the week in the states of Jalisco and Guanajuato to send a cartel message to the Mexican government after the detention of several cartel members in an operation by the Mexican military. It is not clear whether the acts of violence in Tijuana are related.

The U.S. consulate is warning government employees near Tijuana, Mexicali, Rosarito, Ensenada, Tecate to shelter in place until further notice due to vehicle fires, roadblocks and heavy police activity. U.S. citizens are being told to avoid the area, seek secure shelter, and monitor local media for updates.

For a party that is desperately trying to retain Latino voters who are fleeing to Republicans ahead of midterms, let's just paraphrase President Trump a bit about Democrat outreach efforts to these voters with "they are not sending their best." Actually, it's one blunder after another from the Democrats in their Latino outreach, each of which amounts to an insult more likely to repel than attract Latino voters to the Democrats. The latest was in Arizona, as reported by the Washington Free Beacon: A new Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee ad aimed at wooing Latinos says Democrats

To understand how deep the corruption is at the Department of Justice, and not just at the top, all one needs to do is compare the treatment of former Clinton National Security Advisor Sandy Berger and former President Donald Trump. Whatever concoction the DOJ serves up to frame Trump, it will not match what Berger actually confessed to doing. In April 2002, former President Bill Clinton designated Berger as his representative to review intelligence documents in advance of the various hearings on 9/11. As a 2007 report by the House Committee on Government Oversight and Reform made clear, Berger did not exactly welcome this assignment.

In a three-minute press conference following the FBI raid on Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home, Attorney General Merrick Garland cut a defiant figure, condemning critics of the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the FBI: “I will not stand by silently when their integrity is unfairly attacked.” He then left the stage without taking questions or answering that criticism. His brief comments had all of the substance of a Hallmark card that read, “Trust us, we’re the government.” Yet trust has to be earned, not simply demanded

But, if the former First Lady, 52, felt any anger or emotion about the raid on her home, as always, she wasn’t showing it.
