President Biden’s popularity is sagging even further in blue-leaning New York, according to a new poll that also has Republican Lee Zeldin in striking distance of Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul.
The same survey shows more voters prefer someone else to re-electing Democratic incumbent Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.
The survey of 600 likely voters conducted from Aug. 7-9 and commissioned by GOP businessman John Jordan and consultant Dick Morris shows that just 44% approve of Biden’s performance and 52% disapprove

I have to wonder something about these polls. In the 1976 election, our high school government class did a mock election. The entire class except for two of us voted for Carter. The teacher had some under the breath comments about us Ford voters, and the other kids were especially nasty.
What are the odds that people say they are going to vote for the democrat, or actually do it, to deflect the nasty looks or to appear cool? Carter won, but not by the margin in our class.

Kathy Hochyl, a baby killing Catholic, is one of those local political hacks who winds up in higher office as a mistake.
Her political career is minima, deputy county clerk, county clerk, accidental candidate for congress, wins because of a three way race, with the republicans shooting themselves in the foot.
Her two years of undistinguished service in the House was rewarded by defeat. She then cozied up to Andrew Cuomo, scored a lt. gov. position, and when Andrew resigned, she advanced to the position of Governor...in her first act as governor, she chose a black felon state legislator, and had to quickly dump him.
Our system of government allows for an occasional loser to win higher office. President Chester Arthur is one example of that, as is Congressman Jim Hanley of Syracuse. AOC is yet another.
I hope Zeldin puts an end to Kathy;s elective career, but recognize that Dementia Jo's handlers will likely give Kathy some sort of federal job.

Queen Kathy doesn’t have to worry, Dominion “counts” the votes in all NY counties except the 5 boroughs, Erie and Albany counties. I’m sure she will get “results” without hassle.

Gee, why didn't Sandy, the tip-stealing bar maid run against Chuckie? I'd have stuck $20 in her tip jar.

I will believe it when I see it. Sounds like it is about time that when the Republican party withdraws all financial supporter from New York races to support 'closer' races in other states.

Based on NY's voting history, the Shmucks replacement would be another stupid loser like Occasionally-Cognizant!

We are talking about NYS. It would take a miracle for a Republican to win anything , even animal control. I know some VERY intelligent people who are so blue their skin is blue. They are ideologues who cannot see reality.
They really thought Obama was G_dly. I am speaking about doctors, scientists, researchers, etc. Professionals in their fields. Your local truck driver or warehouse worker votes RED. Fokks who receive Govt benefits want to keep them coming. Why work ?

A second question of those 44% who approve of Biteme performance would be just what exactly are you approving of? I'll bet 95% of them have no answer. They just approve of Biteme because he's a demoslut.

Rural and suburban New Yorkers are mostly Republican. There just aren't enough to compensate for NYC and upstate cities. I like Zeldin. Was a year ahead of Kathy at SU and knew of her but didn't know her personally. I would love to see a Pataki over Cuomo type shocker (1994) but I am not hopeful.

Joe Bonamassa, The best guitar player in the world (sorry Eric) born and raised NYC moved to Nashville 5 years ago and took his money with him. Saw a concert at the Ryman (Grand Ol' Opry) Auditorium. Was amazing.
Kiss off New York. The winners have left. You can keep the losers.

NY voters are sheep. They keep voting for mafia goons like Cuomo. They are taxed to death in that state. New York State is a shell of what it once was. It's turning into a trailer park. Bleeding out young people for generations. I left 50 years ago or I never would have had a job, a home, or a family. If you're not mob connected you can forget it. The same goes for NJ, MA, CT. There are no real Republicans, just socialists in better suits. .
