Merrick Garland's Presser Suggests the

Days after the unprecedented raid of Donald Trump’s Florida home, AG Merrick Garland finally decided to address the public on Thursday regarding the matter. Some naively hoped that he’d provide a legitimate justification for the raid, but as expected, that didn’t materialize, mostly because there was no justification. Instead, Garland danced about while revealing a few noteworthy things. One, we learned that he was the one that ordered the raid, which is not surprising given he’s a partisan who obviously holds a grudge against the former president. Two, the DOJ is asking the judge in the case to unseal the warrant, which may or may not tell us anything

I think that to obtain a federal criminal search warrant the Department of Justice in their application for such a warrant, would have to state what specific criminal violations of the federal criminal law that Trump was suspected of violating, and that those criminal laws would be cited on the face of the warrant. So if the warrant is made public we should know what criminal laws the Department of Justice alleged that Trump violated. I’m not sure, but I don’t think that the Presidential Records Act is a law that has criminal penalties? It’s possible that the Democrat Magistrate Judge who will rule on the issue of the warrant being made public will rule that it must remain sealed to protect an ongoing investigation, we will see if that happens in a few days.

If it was so important to "ACT QUICKLY" because the evidence might be destroyed, why then was the warrant signed on Friday and the raid on Monday? Didn't seem such an emergency to me to act quickly. Apparently the FBI wanted their weekend off first.

I think Bonchie's got it. He stays close to the ground, tough. I'll float with the stink for a moment. If they got played, they played themselves. They believed their own hype, maybe they even believed the fraudsters like Schiff. In any event they know odds are nothing will happen to them personally. So they bit on the idea that something big was there, there had to be. This was so big they would all be heroes. It was true because they believed it. But it was Al Capone's safe. It was also the end of the FBI as a credible organization, a face-plant the magnitude of the disgraceful Afghanistan pull-out. Garland looks like a deer in the headlights. Every friggin' one of them needs to be walked out of the building by their elbows, and the building shuttered. Unfortunately and ominously they're more dangerous for being exposed and wounded.

Taking a week or more to make up a semi-believable warrant and not allowing the lawyers to see one immediately proves that the warrant is not valid. Searching out a weasel biased magistrate without scruples is proof that the reason for a warrant is not valid. Stupid and Evil are not good bed partners.

"they will once again be left shouting at the sky" EVERY investigation against Trump has come up empty. Not only NOT criminal, but often completely MADE UP by dems. Once can be passed off as an "Oops". Twice might be an embarrassment. Three+ shows a pattern of criminal malfeasance on the part of the accusers, the dems and bureaucrats. All of Garland's actions make me SO happy he was kept off the SCOTUS. He's a partisan moron. "Further, they’ve only made Trump stronger." It has been mentioned that Trump lured them into this insanity and, given his past actions at at baiting his opposition into stupid actions, I can believe it. The hilarious thing is, Trump doesn't DO anything to them, just gets them riled up and lets them expose themselves as fools, their true nature. The media is a shadow of its former self because Trump drew them out from under their rock. However, Trump also knows how to take out the garbage, as the RINOs that voted for impeachment have found out as they have been primaried out of Congress. The bureaucrats have good reason to be scared. I'd say to impeach Garland in 2023 but the dems have no competent people to replace him; just look at the rest of the administration that reeks incompetence. 2024 can't come soon enough.

It is helpful to think of political developments as moves on the chessboard made to advance an objective. In chess, the objective is to win the game, chess being zero-sum. Politics is like that, too, though participants often claim it's not, that they're acting for the greater good, principles at the foundation of democracy, motherhood and apple pie and all that — which is true in some cases but never if Democrats are in the game. This brings me to Attorney General Garland's claim that the Mar-a-Lago home invasion wasn't a raid at all.

Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) will occasionally diverge from the party line and oppose particularly radical pieces of legislation, but when it comes to big moments and key votes – on impeachment, for instance – Democrats circle the wagons. Contrarily, Republicans tend to fracture at the most inopportune moments, which is why it was refreshing to see virtual unanimity amongst the GOP after Monday’s outrageous raid on former President Donald Trump’s residence Mar-a-Lago.
