After news broke Monday evening that the FBI had raided former President Donald Trump’s Palm Beach Florida home at Mar-a-Lago, the right immediately expressed outrage and warned that by targeting a former president and political opponent, the Biden Administration had crossed the Rubicon. (snip)
No matter what Garland or Wray say, no matter what the FBI attested to in a search warrant application, no matter what cause a federal judge found, Americans won’t trust them and they shouldn’t.
Four fake FISA applications and the ensuing surveillance orders authorized by the secret Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act court are the first reason why.

Democratic Nevada Rep. Steven Horsford, who has demanded wealthy people pay more in taxes, was fined after not paying thousands in property taxes on time in connection to his million dollar home, state records show.
Horsford said in an April press conference that the “current federal tax code is rigged for the wealthy against the worker,” noting, “It’s only fair that the wealthy pay their fair share.” However, Horsford did not pay more than $13,800 combined in taxes in a timely manner on his residence in Arlington, Virginia, owed during a two year period, according to public tax records reviewed by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Former Democratic presidential candidate and entrepreneur Andrew Yang on Tuesday condemned the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) raid on former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence. (snip) In a Twitter thread, Yang suggested the raid appeared to be “political” in nature and that this would cause the American people to potentially view the nation’s institutions as “unjust.” “I’m no Trump fan. I want him as far away from the White House as possible. But a fundamental part of his appeal has been that it’s him against a corrupt government establishment. This raid strengthens that case for millions of Americans who will see this as unjust persecution,” Yang’s thread opened.

Former New York Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Monday questioned the FBI's raid of former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate.
Cuomo wrote on Twitter that the Department of Justice "must immediately explain the reason for its raid & it must be more than a search for inconsequential archives or it will be viewed as a political tactic and undermine any future credible investigation & legitimacy of January 6 investigations."
Cuomo followed up by saying a lack of transparency would discredit the work of the Jan. 6 committee investigating the Capitol riot.

The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors voted 4-0 on Wednesday to place a measure on the November 2022 ballot asking residents if they wish to possibly secede from California.
In the past, many Californian counties, as well as the state itself, have looked into splitting up the state due to cultural, monetary, and other differences, including some measures simply saying that the state was too big.

The shocking raid Monday of former President Donald Trump’s home at Mar-a-Lago, Florida, stood in stark contrast to the many Trump opponents that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has not raided despite public evidence of alleged misconduct.
They include:
Hunter Biden and Joe Biden: The FBI has been in possession of Hunter’s laptop since 2019, which contains evidence that Hunter used Joe’s position to conduct lucrative foreign business. He also cut his dad into deals and commingled their funds. Hillary Clinton: Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton mishandled classified information on a private server she likely used to hide efforts to use her office to raise money for her family’s foundation.

Joe Kent, candidate for Washington’s 3rd Congressional district, has had his own ballot rejected by the state, The National Pulse can exclusively reveal. Kent, who is endorsed by President Trump, submitted his ballot to the county auditor’s office himself, on August 2nd 2022. It was originally sent to him on July 17th.
The National Pulse has obtained an image of the notification of Kent’s rejected ballot: Kent told The National Pulse that he had to go into the offices of the election administrators on Monday, August 8th, in order to verify his own signature –

Retired Green Beret Joe Kent defeated Republican Washington Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler in a primary challenge stemming from her vote to impeach former President Donald Trump in the wake of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
With 92% of ballots counted, Democrat Marie Glusenkamp Perez received 31% support, Kent received 22.8% support, and Herrera Beutler received 22.3 %. Kent, Herrera Beutler’s chief GOP challenger, raised $2.25 million and was endorsed by Trump. Several election analysts called the race on Monday night. Washington’s universal vote-by-mail rules allow voters to submit ballots up through election day, meaning that the results of races are not often immediately clear.

We’ve documented numerous instances where Democrats have proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that they are seriously bad at the trite “grillin’ and chillin'” political photo ops that inevitably pop up in an election year.
Unfortunately, we have yet one more to add to the list thanks to New York Gov. Kathy Hochul, who took a brief break from continuing “to embrace and extend the worst traditions of her disgraced predecessor Andrew Cuomo” by posting a picture Sunday in which she claimed to be “barbecuing.”

Last Thursday, FBI Dir. Christopher Wray appeared before the US Senate to ostensibly answer questions about the bureau’s conduct. (snip) Later, Wray tried to wiggle out of the hearing by claiming to Sen. Chuck Grassley that he had “a plane to catch." (snip) Far from the picture Wray tried to paint of him rushing through a busy international airport to catch a scheduled flight, he actually jumped on his taxpayer-funded private jet, a state-of-the-art Gulfstream 550. Worse, though, was where he went. It doesn’t appear he was on FBI business. Instead, he was taking a vacation.

A growing number of Democrats in Wyoming may be registering as Republicans in order to back Representative Liz Cheney in the state's upcoming primary, data suggests.
Cheney, the state's sole representative in the House, has been urging Democrats to switch parties to vote for her in the August 16 primary as she faces a tough re-election battle, with polling showing her trailing behind challenger Harriet Hageman, who has been endorsed by Donald Trump. (snip) However, because there are more than five times as many registered Republicans as there are Democrats in Wyoming, King predicts it won't make a difference unless the race is very close—within about 5,000 votes or so.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy says that the House Republicans will demand answers from intelligence officials on what they knew about Hunter Biden’s shady foreign business dealings while Joe Biden was vice president, according to a report from the New York Post.
McCarthy says that if they don’t come in voluntarily, they will be subpoenaed. (snip) They were wrong, of course. The laptop was genuine, and there was never any evidence that it was Russian disinformation. In a sense, the 51 former intel officials had engaged in disinformation to protect Joe Biden before the 2020 election.
