Democratic Nevada Rep. Steven Horsford, who has demanded wealthy people pay more in taxes, was fined after not paying thousands in property taxes on time in connection to his million dollar home, state records show. Horsford said in an April press conference that the “current federal tax code is rigged for the wealthy against the worker,” noting, “It’s only fair that the wealthy pay their fair share.” However, Horsford did not pay more than $13,800 combined in taxes in a timely manner on his residence in Arlington, Virginia, owed during a two year period, according to public tax records reviewed by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

People are paying exactly what the IRS said they should. If you want more, don't whine, change the tax code.

If the leftists really want the wealthy to pay more in taxes, implement a flat tax. Right now, the wealthy have access to accountants that take advantage of every tax loophole available to them. Loopholes that the average taxpayer isn't able to use simply because they don't have the incomes like wealthier individuals.

Exactly how much is a persons "fair share"? In 2019, the top 25% of earners paid 87% of all income taxes. The bottom 50% 0f earners only paid 3%. The middle 25% paid the other 10% of taxes. Last year I paid almost $30,000 in federal income tax. Is that fair that one person paid that. Is it fair that Elon Musk paid $11 billion? Did we receive more or better services than others for our money? NO! We were demonized by those who paid little to nothing in the bottom 50%, most who paid $0 for not paying enough. We need a flat tax where everyone, especially the bottom 50%, pay their fair share as they are the ones who benefit the most from taxes paid. When they pay something, then I might listen to those who complain about others paying their "fair share".

You can bet the 87,000 new IRS agents will only raid and audit conservative homes while allowing Democrats taxes to go unpaid or paid extremely late.

It's cute how politicians gripe about how much anybody is paying in taxes when they are complying with the current tax code that was written by those very same politicians. Then, any changes those politicians make is usually to make the tax code more complicated with more gimmicks and loopholes for their perferred donors.

If Donald Trump was going to run again, we assumed that the media would once again be the former president's largest pool of support, unwittingly, of course, with the nonstop negative coverage that would have only pushed more voters into his corner. Matt Taibbi noted that they're the "kingmakers of suck," arrogant, and more concerned with expounding on their moral superiority than covering the elections properly. Post-Russian collusion hoax, no one believes them, as evidenced by the appalling trust numbers the American public has given this industry over the past five or so years. That all ended last night.
