Nearly 2,000 NYPD cops quitting before
getting full pensions — a 71% jump from 2021

The NYPD is still hemorrhaging cops. Ever-growing exodus figures show 2,465 police officers have filed to leave the department this year—42% more than the 1,731 who exited at the same time last year, according to the latest pension fund stats obtained by The Post.
More disturbing is the fact that the number of cops hanging up their holsters early—before reaching 20 years for a full pension—has skyrocketed 71% this year from the year before (1,098 from 641).(Snip)Being New York’s Finest has lost its luster for many of the rank and file, who have endured anti-cop hostility, bail reform, rising crime and the city’s vaccination

They will be replaced by criminals and future felons who will ignore crime and exploit the City. A true No-go place.

#2, New York is already a no-go place for us. Sad though, because I traveled to New York City literally hundreds of times for work over a 30 year period and took my wife at least 40 times. We used to enjoy the city. No more.
And. WE are not the losers in this deal. New York hotels, restaurants and stores are the losers. But since most vote Democrat, my sympathy meter is on low.

Wait till they figure out the consequence of defunding police when it gets to the point where they reeeeeeally need to hire them back. Your starry-eyed young fresh outta college social justice workers are in for a jolt of reality and won't last long as a suitable replacement. And new cops aren't going to want to sign on for lousy pay and constant disrespect and back-stabbing from the system Powers That Be. Pendulums swing, Baby!.

"...who have endured anti-cop hostility, bail reform, rising crime and the city’s vaccination"
Why is it called 'Bail Reform?
'Reform' means to take something that is not working well, and reshape (reform) it so that it works better,
The change in the NY bail laws has been an unmitigated Disaster, from what I can see.
Some 'Reform'!

This benefits other places who hire these Officers.
New York pays for their training and background checks and the towns that hire them get the savings.

The only reason I'd go to New York is to watch the Gutfeld! show LIVE!
Fortunately, he does a road show a couple times a year.

This is proof that these cops are braver and more courageous than our military and intelligence services, rank and file, who stay servibg despite the corruption and failure just to get their pensions and tax free VA payments.

I can't imagine trying to do the job in NYC under the current anarchy with zero help from the "prosector" who won't prosecute.

Get rid of Hochul and install Zeldin and there goes the problem. At least Zeldin has no problem getting rid of commie DAs and fixing the no bail law the demonrats impose on the population, which coddles all criminals.

Advice from the Stones: * bite the Big Apple...don't mind the maggots*.
The rich toffs will have to hire them back--as personal security forces.
For the coppers' sake, i hope it is at 150x their prior city wages-plus pension , bennies. and bullet-proof togs
If not, let the blighters shift for themselves; let them try to get a concealed carry permit, drones, and desert eagles .

Become a NY cop.
The criminals will laugh at you.
The citizens will not support you.
The politicians will blame you for rising crime.
If you make an honest mistake, your life will be destroyed.

Noo Yawkers thought Mayor Dandy Dude, a former cop himself, would be their salvation. Maybe they just don't like being called crackers, being demonized at every turn, arresting the same people again and again, and being attacked in the streets by career criminals the city turns loose right away.
