It sounds like the evil Demon-Rats finally got tired of him being a rebel, and told him that he and his family would unexpectedly be "committing suicide" if he didn't vote for this boondoggle. The Demon-Rats have studied their masters and heroes in the Communist Parties of Russia, China, Cuba, and North Korea well enough to know how to use threats and violence very effectively!!! The only good thing to come from this is that West Virginia should now elect Republicans for Congress in all future elections!!!

Wretched self-serving politicians like Manchin are so well insulated from their constituents that they have no fear of a backlash. He travels with security and very few people get access to him unless it is in a controlled environment. If he had to mingle with the people he represents, things would be very different not that he would be subjected to violence but he would be getting an earful from people whose livelihoods he is destroying. Politicians do not face the consequences of their votes for the most part. Their staff deals with any opposition and it is rare they face anyone who is upset. While I do not advocate any kind of violence, people are going to have to make an effort to let these arrogant fools know they are unhappy with the way they are voting. We are going to have to organize and peacefully demonstrate wherever it is possible to do so. When politicians make decisions that are insanely against every law of economics to push a radical agenda down our throats, it’s time to do whatever we can to make our voices heard. Silence has gotten us nowhere. Of course, these self-serving elites are going to do what is in their best interests and they should have to face the consequences of their actions. The fact that they have no qualms about destroying the lives of their constituents is problematic and this has to stop,

Manchin, as Governor of West Virginia, had the power to select and appoint the President of West Virginia University. Manchin selected a young, inexperienced layer from his office staff for the position, and the young lawter did irreversible harm to WVU. Manchin's daughter was an Executive MBA student at WVU, took some, but not all of the courses, bragged to her classmates that she was getting the degree in spite of not taking some of the required courses. The Pittsburgh Post Gazette did an in depth investigation of WVU, and found that Manchin's daughter did, indeed, receive a degree which was not properly earned. It turned out that some administrators at WVU manufactured transcripts, and grades for courses not taken., for Manchin's daughter. The end result was that the WVU President, Provost, and Business School Dean were removed from office. It was a major scandal at a university that had long fought to maintain academic credibility. One would think that Manchin would have been harmed by that scandal. He was not. And he was elected Senator. What about Manchin's daughter? She still claims she has an Executive MBA from WVU, and is CEO of a pharmaceutical company. So for those of you hoping Manchin will not be reelected, don't hold your breath.

Manchin's cave-in surprised exactly nobody. The only thing we don't know is the magnitude of the threat or the payoff. It's not what's good for West Virginia, it's what's good for him that matters. We have seen excellent examples in this type of politics from people like Arlen Specter.

There is a "deep state" of government bureaucrats who regularly disrupt the commander in chief's plans, former President Donald Trump said in a recent interview. In talking with popular conservative commentator Dan Bongino, Trump opened up about how officials within his own administration created roadblocks for his agenda and put blame on recommendations he received from "RINOS," or Republicans in Name Only, a pejorative often used to criticize fellow members of the GOP. "Look, there is a deep state," Trump said. "There is a group of people that are not doing a very good job for the country."
