President Joe Biden’s staff claimed Monday they did not know about the FBI raid on former President Donald Trump’s house at Mar-A-Lago.
“No advance knowledge. Some learned from old media some from social media,” a senior White House official told CBS reporter Ed O’Keefe when asked about the raid.
Fox News journalist Pat Ward also cited a comment from a White House official denying they did not receive notice of the raid and referred reporters to the Justice Department.
President Joe Biden returned to the White House from his trip to view flood damage in Kentucky at about 6:00 p.m. and his staff called a “lid” for the day at 6:29 p.m.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams blasted Texas Gov. Greg Abbott on Sunday after a second bus full of illegal migrants arrived at his doorstep.
Adams gave a news conference Sunday morning at the Port Authority where he greeted an incoming bus of around 40 migrants — only 14 of whom disembarked in the Big Apple."This is horrific when you think about what the governor is doing," Adams said, noting that many of the arriving families did not realize they were coming to New York City.

On Monday evening, the FBI took the unprecedented step of raiding the home of former President Donald Trump. What were they looking for? Astonishingly, what is being leaked to the media is that they were after documents that possibly violated the Presidential Records Act.
Far from their promises of proving some grand conspiracy involving January 6th, it appears the Democrats, using the power of the nation’s federal law enforcement apparatus, are trying to take Donald Trump out with selective enforcement of provisions that are normally handled in a civil, not criminal manner. Where have we seen that before?
None of this is a coincidence, and none of it is justified.

According to CNN’s Kaitlan Collins, Trump was not at Mar-a-Lago when the FBI showed up.(Tweet) And, Politico’s Ryan Lizza reported that the Department of Justice declined to comment. (Tweet) President Donald Trump’s home in Palm Beach, Florida, Mar-a-Lago, is reportedly being raided by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Trump announced the raid in an email sent shortly before 7 PM Eastern time on Monday:
These are dark times for our Nation, as my beautiful home, Mar-A-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents.

Using government to persecute political opponents happens in “Marxist dictatorships,” Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) said on Monday following news of the FBI raiding former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago.
“Using government power to persecute political opponents is something we have seen many times from 3rd world Marxist dictatorships But never before in America,” Rubio said Monday evening following the news. He later connected the raid to the Senate’s passage of the radical $700 billion Inflation Reduction Act, which among other things, allots $80 billion to hire 87,000 new IRS enforcement agents “to target Americans with as many as one million additional audits per year on taxpayers earning less than $200,000

GOP Leadership in the House has responded forcefully to the FBI raid of Mar-a-Lago, with GOP leader Kevin McCarthy directly calling out Attorney General Merrick Garland, and the Republicans on the Judiciary Committee tearing into the FBI for the raid. McCarthy’s statement was straight to the point. McCarthy’s tweet came hours after former President Donald Trump emailed supporters announcing the FBI was raiding his home in Mar-a-Lago. Trump was not at the resort at the time of the raid. It also comes after Garland in recent weeks indicated he was serious about moving forward on investigating the former president

After he was seen walking dressed in combat fatigues behind then-President Donald Trump across Lafayette Square after it had been forcibly cleared of Black Lives Matter protesters in June 1, 2020, Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joints Chiefs of Staff, drafted a resignation letter to inform Trump that he intended to step down. The letter was published by the New Yorker on Monday in an excerpt of an upcoming book by Peter Baker and Susan Glasser,…

Oklahoma Sooners assistant football coach Cale Gundy has resigned from his position after he used a “shameful” word during a team meeting. The 50-year-old, whose brother Mike Gundy is the head coach at rival Oklahoma State, released a lengthy statement on social media Sunday night, announcing his resignation and apologizing for using the word, which he says he read off of a player’s iPad.
“I owe it to Sooner Nation to be transparent about what led to this decision: Last week, during a film session, I instructed my players to take notes,” the statement read. “I noticed a player was distracted and picked up his iPad and read

After all that, the safe at Mar-a-Lago was empty. It was pried open by FBI agents who swarmed the premises under the pretense that they were looking for documents marked for preservation by the National Archives. Does anyone believe that? The FBI’s raid on the former president’s home was not over boxes of documents. If you think that, please, get some crack cocaine, White Claws, and wallow in total ignorance in an observation tank while high as a kite. This line about the documents is politburo stuff, except we’re not the Soviet Union. The FBI was there to find Russian collusion material they know doesn’t exist.

With inflation raging and the shadow of recession looming, it’s difficult to envision a worse time to pass a tax-and-spend bill like the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). Yet, that’s just what Senate Democrats did Sunday. It’s even harder to imagine that “moderate” Sens. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.), both of whom voted for the bill, believe it will live up to its Orwellian name. If so, they are at odds with the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), hundreds of economists, millions of Americans, and even Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.).

NPR became the latest mainstream outlet to attack Republican governors for the growing migrant crisis in liberal cities.
On Friday, NPR promoted their coverage of New York City and Washington D.C. struggling to handle increasing numbers of illegal immigrants being dropped off in their cities by Govs. Greg Abbott, Texas, and Doug Ducey, Ariz. The title of their article read "GOP governors sent buses of migrants to D.C. and NYC — with no plan for what's next."
"Texas and Arizona governors continue to send buses full of migrants and refugees to Washington, D.C.'s Union Station, just a few blocks from the Capitol building. Upon arrival no government officials are there
